Sarah Palin wants to subpoena close to two dozen New York Times reporters for her lawsuit.

Courtesy of the New York Post:

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin plans to subpoena close to two dozen New York Times reporters, editors and other workers as part of her defamation lawsuit against the newspaper, it was revealed in court documents Wednesday.

In a motion arguing that the case be dismissed, lawyers for the New York Times complained that Palin’s legal team has served notice that she plans to subpoena “twenty-three non-party current and former Times reporters, editors and other employees – most of whom had nothing to do with the editorial at issue.”

The subpoenas are part of Palin’s effort to obtain “documents that might reveal, among other things, their ‘negative feelings’ toward her,” The Times told the judge.

Palin’s legal team also intends to ask the paper to produce “every internal communication it has had about her since 2011,” they said.

The Times complained about Palin’s discovery requests in a Manhattan federal court filing reiterating its request to have Palin’s defamation lawsuit tossed.

Well this is clearly a fishing expedition.

My new theory is that somebody is bankrolling this lawsuit in the hopes of finding embarrassing information about these reporters in order to smear them and undermine their credibility.

And that sounds like something well heeled Trump supporters might be willing to invest in.

Stupid and nasty are a dangerous combination. Add in greedy and you have Palin. The bankrolling theory makes sense, but it could also be that she is hoping the Times will pay her to go away. That's the American Dream--Palin goes away.

--Nothing about Sarah et al is greedy.

And the Oscar for grifting goes to... Sarah Palin!

Sarah Palin and entourage descend like 'locusts' on Oscar swag suite

Now that she's a proper TV celebrity, what's wrong with swarming the Oscar gifting suite with a large entourage and helping herself to bags of swag for "charity"?

E! Online has a nice article about it.

"They were like locusts," says one vendor at the suite, regarding Palin and her large group of hangers-on. "She showed up with like 20 people, and they immediately swarmed the place taking everything!"

"She insisted every person in her huge entourage get something, and there were assistants, nannies, security - insanity!,"

"She kind of cleaned the place out," Ben Russo of EMC/Bowery told AOL's Pop Eater. The website said swag-grabs included 40 pairs of AIAIAI earphones.

We're told Palin was quite the prima donna and that she insisted the suite be opened two hours early so she could come when no looky-loos would be around.

"They told us last minute to get here superearly for [Palin]," says our rightfully annoyed source. "Then, she wouldn't let anyone take her picture or do any interviews."

For those of you who think that's a standard request—uh, it's not, especially when you're getting thousands of dollars worth of free goods. Some of the products Palin picked up included Bloom facial products, which she told the vendor she needed for her under-eye area.

But don't think Sarah stopped there.

Palin grabbed some oversize sweatshirts and tie-dyed "jeggings" for Bristol, got a blowout by colorist Erick Orellana from the Chris McMillan Salon, along with snatching up jewelry from Pascal Mouawad, Skagen Watches, Lash Food and 40 pairs of Aiaiai headphones.

A spokesperson for Aiaiai tells us Sarah said "they would be great for working out."

No theory to it. It's a fact.

Their plan, as one member of the team described it, is to research the reporters’ previous work, in some cases going back years, and to exploit any mistakes or perceived biases. They intend to demand corrections, trumpet errors on social media and feed them to conservative outlets, such as Fox News.

Boy Scouts Issue Formal Apology For Lunatic Trump’s Madman Rant At National Jamboree

“I want to extend my sincere apologies to those in our Scouting family who were offended by the political rhetoric that was inserted into the jamboree. That was never our intent. The invitation for the sitting U.S. President to visit the National Jamboree is a long-standing tradition that has been extended to the leader of our nation that has had a Jamboree during his term since 1937. It is in no way an endorsement of any person, party or policies. For years, people have called upon us to take a position on political issues, and we have steadfastly remained non-partisan and refused to comment on political matters. We sincerely regret that politics were inserted into the Scouting program.”

Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke tried to put a horse's head in Senator Lisa Murkowski's bed this morning, but found himself fleeing poisonous snakes instead.

The Thug White House style is to use every cabinet member to twist Senators' arms in order to give Trump a win no matter what.

So Ryan Zinke picked up his phone and called Senators Sullivan and Murkowski with a message.

Senator Dan Sullivan told Alaska Daily News that he feared "that the strong economic growth, pro-energy, pro-mining, pro-jobs and personnel from Alaska who are part of those policies are going to stop."

"I tried to push back on behalf of all Alaskans. … We're facing some difficult times and there's a lot of enthusiasm for the policies that Secretary Zinke and the president have been talking about with regard to our economy. But the message was pretty clear," Sullivan said.

Today, Lisa Murkowski delivered a message of her own to Thug Zinke, as Kasie Hunt reported.

  28. Senators are drafting a bill to block Trump from firing Sessions and special prosecutors.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/senators-prepare-bill-block-firing-ag-special-counsel-151829865--politics.html

"Warning of "holy hell" to pay if the president fires Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a top Senate Republican is working to prevent the potential end result, the dismissal of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina is working on legislation that would block the firing of special counsels without judicial review. Democrats Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut said Thursday they are among the senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee who are working with Graham on the effort.

Despite a drumbeat of criticism from President Donald Trump, congressional Republicans have expressed strong support for former FBI Director Mueller, who was appointed earlier this year to investigate allegations of Russian meddling in the U.S. election and possible links to the Trump campaign. They have also rallied around Sessions, a former senator from Alabama who has become a daily target of critical tweets from Trump."

What I don't get is why Lindsay Graham, a Republican from South Carolina keeps voting for Trump shit if he hates him so much. I never see Graham's name as a no vote when it comes to repealing Obamacare or the wall or much of that other stuff. Sure he talks a good game, criticizing Trump but he never follows through with his votes.

The Times apologized. Palin attorney's want a case and to go on with this for their (and Sarah) agenda.

The courts did not prove Sarah's vicious target banner was a direct reason the shooter shot Gabby in the head, the others and killed the other victims. Including a child, that was shot dead.

      http://patterico.com/files/2011/01/Christina-Greene.jpg

The shooter was, is severely mentally ill and dangerous. He can't function well enough to be a reliable witness of what went down. He may have been seething when he swy in a flash Sarah's target banner. He immediately forgot what he saw but he was triggered. The mind of a madman can be like that. Since he blacked out, what triggered him he could never tell, he forgot.

Whatever it was, most people know that YES, Sarah Palin is most responsible for murdering the child, injuries to others and the shooting of a member of Congress, Gabby Giffords, in the head.

Just because the Times can't claim the obvious doesn't make untrue. Sarah Palin is the main instigator, in the eyes of most, she is the one with more responsibility.

The shooter is too insane to be held accountable, lock him up, but his mind is gone. That is the type of person Sarah seeks to be effected by her banner.

Sarah has blood on her hands and it will never wash off. She tagged herself with what she did.

Update on Palin family: Dakota likes the name Atlee as a tribute to the Career Intelligence Medal recipient, the admirable David Atlee Phillips. It also is a bay and that fits with Bristol Bay. Cute, heh? Dakota is a wonderful father according to a repetitive public relations campaign. He doesn't miss a chance to pose with babies and kids. It shows his softer side and he is a protector. That is why he works so hard for the women and children victims of Texas traffickers. Meyer and Palin actually sell pictures and not much of a story to the Daily Mail and others, who for some reason want to promote this celebrity tripe. Bristol Bay isn't earning enough with the tea deal so they have Daily Mail and more to fall back on and keep them in their strange version of being in the limelight to promote product. Mostly selling the kids, make hey while the sun shines, cute baby stage will not last that long. Bristol looks like she is already plotting to be knocked up again. She feels so unnatural when she is not and really what more is there for a true breeder? Life is hot in Texas but they don't travel in the back of a sweltering semi-truck like some people, so it is not that bad with the ac.

Why don't they just get jobs like other people? Who owes any Palin a living? There must be something that MOH can do and, as for Bristol, she can work in a doctor's office in Texas, can't she? Of course, she'd have to show up to work five days a week, most weeks of the year, but there's no reason why she couldn't join the national workforce just like millions of other mothers, especially those whose husbands are not working.

If you’ve ever had the misfortune to know someone who’s similar in nature to Donald Trump or his gang of thugs, then you know that this is more or less how these types of men converse. Their entire worldview is more or less built around the size of their own dick, and their fear that it’s smaller than that of other men. They can’t so much as refer to a woman without saying something sexist, or to a minority without saying something racist. It’s just their horrible, horrifying nature.

And yet it invariably leads these insecure gutter dwelling fractions of small men to spend their miserable lives obsessively talking about each other’s penises. They make it far too easy for the rest of us. The jokes just end up writing themselves.
