During worst floods in American history Donald Trump takes the time to promote book by Palin ghostwriter.

If you click that image you will see that this is another book ghostwritten by Nancy "I have no soul" French.

Which is kind of odd since Nancy came out hard against Trump, and her husband even launched an over in the blink of an eye campaign to run against him for president.

Still this Clarke guy is one of the few black folks willing to support Trump publicly, so maybe that supersedes his dislike for the French family.

(P.S. To be fair Trump DID tweet about all of the flooding gong on right now, but still...)

Texas governor Greg Abbott is a right-wing climate change denier.

The 11(!) on-the-scene WC anchors standing in the middle of Harvey's damage right now seem to favor camera subjects among the victims who are minimally clad and wince-inducing obese.

    A wickedly amusing thumbnose?

Late in the week, perhaps the day before the storm made landfall, one of the Weather Channel's meteorologists (Paul Goodlow I think, although I'm not sure how to spell his name) was interviewing a Houston official about evacuation. He kept repeating the dire forecasts for rainfall and flooding and the official just kept saying that residents of the towns in that part of Texas knew what to do so there was no need for any official announcements. it's as if these guys in Texas don't believe in governing at all. Just pass a few mean-spirited and likely unconstitutional laws; other than that, no responsibility for anything. Glad I don't live in Texas. Now officials are telling people that it's not an emergency if your house is filling with water. People should just deal with it.

If these Texas officials had been in charge of London during the WWII Bliez, there would have been no bomb shelters, no citizen fire watchers, no assistance to those whose homes were destroyed, etc. The attitude would have been: you're on your own.

I see the National Weather Service is calling the storm "unpresidented."
Yeah, that gave me a chuckle.

  4. Does Trump know what a ghost writer is? Would he even remember who Nancy French was? He doesn't read so obviously this is just payback for some favor to someone who requested the tweet. It doesn't mean anything.

And it's obvious French's political views can be bought. If she's so anti-Trump, then why did she ghost write a book for a pro-Trump guy? MONEY! That's her god and where her allegiance lies. Pay her enough and she'll write for anyone, even Trump. After all, how many years was she on the Palin payroll?

French is an holier than thou whore. If the money is adequate, she will shill for anyone. She is also not very bright and is amoral. No one with any integrity would work for Palin. French has none. She is just another hypocritical xtian phony with some facility with grammar. Her audience is comprised of uneducated know nothings.

A great book! Not even a beautiful book. That's right, Trump doesn't read. Nothing more than a pay back to look good and forgotten.

In a flurry of Sunday morning tweets on NAFTA, the border wall with Mexico and Hurricane Harvey, Trump also said that Clark's 2017 memoir, "Cop Under Fire," was "highly recommended."

Trump had considered Clarke for a post in his administration, and Clarke himself said in May that he had accepted a post in the Department of Homeland Security.

Is Trump starting his own book club? I heard he doesn't like to read. Is it true he just wants bullet points in his reports?

Are we to believe this guy Trump reads?

Somebody get this guy a book on how to become a president and what it means to be a president.

It is not just about golfing and visiting his properties.

Trump plugs extremist book, promotes himself, and lies about the wall — while Houston drowns

In the midst of a natural disaster, Donald Trump took to Twitter to promote a book by David Clarke, the Trump-supporting Milwaukee sheriff with a violent past, as well as to plug a campaign rally and spew lies about the border wall.

As Texas is slammed by a major natural disaster, Donald Trump has not seemed to fully grasp the gravity of the situation.

Trump fled D.C. for Camp David as Hurricane Harvey approached landfall. When asked by reporters if he had any words for the people of Texas, Trump only said, “Good luck to everybody,” and flashed the thumbs-up.

Two days later, Texas’s largest city, Houston, is underwater. Five people have died, infrastructure has completely shut down, and over 1,000 people had to be rescued.

What is Trump’s response? Hawking a book by Sheriff David Clarke.

Clarke was quite pleased with Trump’s praise, offering an ignorant defense of Trump’s neglect toward the people of Texas by attempting to slam President Barack Obama:

Clarke, the sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, is a violent, right-wing provocateur with a history of hateful rhetoric. He has called Black civil rights protestors “primitive” and “subhuman” and has referred to Black Lives Matter as “the enemy,” “a terrorist movement,” “a revolutionary Marxist force,” and “Black LIES Matter.”

In 2016, Clarke proclaimed that it would be “pitchforks and torches time” if Trump did not win.

The book Trump is promoting, “Cop Under Fire,” is full of hateful lines like this, and even Wisconsin’s GOP governor, Scott Walker, has said parts of the book describing the governor’s praise for the sheriff are “complete fiction.”

Moreover, much like Joe Arpaio, the racist Arizona ex-sheriff whom Trump just defied federal protocol in order to issue a pardon to for contempt of court, Clarke has a documented history of human rights abuses in his prisons.

Clarke made headlines in 2016 after Terril Thomas, a mentally ill man, died of dehydration in a Milwaukee County jail cell. Clarke’s guards had reportedly ignored Thomas’s screams of agony for days. The death was ruled a homicide.

Additionally, multiple lawsuits detailed how Clarke forced a pregnant inmate to give birth on the concrete floor of her cell while in shackles. The baby did not survive.

Yet Clarke remains one of Trump’s favorite people in law enforcement. He even previously considered Clarke for a top position at the Department of Homeland Security, despite the fact that Clarke has unsettling ties to Russian government officials.
