James Murdoch criticizes Donald Trump's talking points, but he seems to get most of them from Fox News.

Let's face it Donald Trump is essentially taking the crap bloviated about on Fox News and making it a reality.

That is like giving life to the imaginary monsters that lived under our beds when we were children.

Terrifying.

If Murdock REALLY wanted to stop Donald Trump from tearing this country apart he would shut down his network, take his billions of dollars, and simply walk away from politics and cable news forever.

That would be so heroic that somebody might even put up a statue to honor his sacrifice.

" “the finest fighting force” in history.

It was so unquestionably powerful that no enemy could conceivably stand in its path. It would “liberate” not just Afghanistan, but Iraq, a country in the Middle Eastern oil heartlands that had nothing to do with either Al Qaeda or Islamic terror but had a ruler despised in Washington.

And that, mind you, would only be the beginning."

" 23 men and two women who signed the initial PNAC statement urging the United States to go for the military option in the twenty-first century would, however, prove something more than your typical crew of think-tank types. After all, not so many years later, after a disputed presidential election settled by the Supreme Court, Dick Cheney would be vice president; I. Lewis (“Scooter”) Libby would be his right-hand man; Donald Rumsfeld would be Secretary of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, Deputy Secretary of Defense; Zalmay Khalilzad, head of the Bush-Cheney transition team at the Department of Defense and then the first post- invasion U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan, as well as ambassador to Iraq and UN ambassador; Elliot Abrams, special assistant to the president with a post on the National Security Council; Paula Dobriansky, Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs; Aaron Friedberg, Deputy Assistant for National Security Affairs and Director of Policy Planning in the office of the vice president; and Jeb Bush, governor of Florida. (Others like John Bolton, who signed on to PNAC later, would be no less well employed.)

This may, in fact, be the first example in history of a think tank coming to power and actually putting its blue-sky suggestions into operation as government policy, or perhaps it’s the only example so far of a government-in-waiting masquerading as an online think tank. In either case, more than 13 years later, the success of that group can still take your breath away, as can both the narrowness -- and scope -- of their thinking, and of their seminal document, “Rebuilding America’s Defenses,” published in September 2000, two months before George W. Bush took the presidency."

      In truth"

    2. Trump would just poop hissies.

But if the U.S. were sanctioned because of Trump, *that* would get the attention of the Republicans and then they would do something. Because then Trump would be negatively impacting their bottom line: profit.

You still have the Drudge and Breibart news to deal with. Although they are confined to the internet they still have an impact on people perceptions. He could slowly change 🦊 's format to give real news. Although I doubt he knows what that is.

Anonymous Leaks Private Information For Dozens Of GOP Senators To The Public

The message going along with the numbers reads, in part:

‘We are not seeing real action being taken from the legislative branch to rid our country of a national security threat that is Donald J. Trump. In a matter of less than a week, he’s taken us to the brink of war — both international and domestic — as he continues to destroy core American Values we believe in today, that which are Justice, Freedom, and Equality.’

    The Failing Trump Presidency

With each day, President Trump offers fresh proof that he is failing the office that Americans entrusted to him. The rolling disaster of his presidency accelerated downhill last week with a news conference on Tuesday at which he seemed determined to sow racial strife in a nation desperate for a unifying vision.

Since the 1930s it has not typically been a challenge for an American leader to denounce Nazism. But there is nothing typical about this president; urged by some of his advisers and family members to summon the majesty and moral authority of the presidency to heal the wounds of last weekend’s neo-Nazi violence in Charlottesville, to put the good of the country before personal pique, he chose instead to deliver a defense of white supremacists that raised as never before profound doubts about his moral compass, his grasp of the obligations of his office and his fitness to occupy it.

This, in essence, is where we are now: a nation led by a prince of discord who seems divorced from decency and common sense. The alarm bells were loud and swift. Five members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff delivered a rare rebuke, condemning race-based extremism in the military and the nation. Foreign leaders, from Secretary General António Guterres of the United Nations to Prime Minister Theresa May of Britain, condemned intolerance and a failure of leadership in the White House.

Of all the many complaints and condemnations, the strongest came from Mr. Trump’s putative allies in the business community, a glittering who’s who of financial and corporate leaders who began resigning from two White House advisory councils early last week, ultimately forcing the president to dissolve both panels in order to spare himself the humiliation of further corporate desertions. The White House ultimately abandoned a third advisory council, on infrastructure, an area where Mr. Trump had hoped to fulfill at least one of his campaign promises to create jobs.

Mr. Trump was reportedly energized by his Tuesday performance, which he saw as a rebuke to politically correct forces that he thinks are determined to topple him. He crashed ahead, attacking critics on all sides and delivering Twitter bursts of anti-historical nonsense...

  10. As long as Fox News is broadcasting reprehensible racist dog whistles our country cannot move out of this deadly quagmire of racist ideology, bigoted doublethink, and nullification of the US Constitution.

If Rupert Murdoch refuses to broadcast the TRUTH, then his citizenship must be revoked, he must be deported, and Fox News must be shuttered permanently. He can't be allowed to continue to poison the waters of American political discourse, defiling the minds of the easily swayed, and corrupting the electoral process. He is an enemy of the state. Since he so obviously doesn't like or value the American way, send him on his merry monied way. Let him spread his toxic venom in Antarctica.

And if his sons can't convince him to do better, then let them join him on some icy slope.

Bullshit. Trump must resign, confess, repent, show remorse and clean up his private and public lawsuits in private. Americans are sick and tired of his daily mental drama and nonsense. IF he loves America he must resign and take that mess with him today.

He doesn't have the mentality to do so, and plenty to enable him.

If they think that we're going to lie down and take it, they've got another thing coming.

  13. Friday night Bill Maher hammered once again that Trump's talking points come directly from Fox News. He watches it incessantly and parrots everything they say. (Plus a lot of his minions.)

Bill had both Gavin Newsome and Al Franken on his show. And he suggested the 2020 ticket should be Al Franken and Gavin Newsome.

We really need to keep the pressure on Al Franken to run. I know he really doesn't want to. But it must be made clear to him that running and winning is his Patriotic duty. He alone can fix this. Just as Barack Obama was the right president for that time, Al Frankin is the right president we will need in 2020. He needs to be drafted, convinced that it is his duty as a public servant to become the 46th president of the United States. (Or 47th if we manage to get rid of Trump early.)

Al Franken could beat Trump, Pence or anyone else the GOP put up against him.

It won't matter who his running mate is but be it Gavin Newsome, Kamala Harris or someone else, we *need* Al Franken in the White House. Two terms, Al. Two terms.
