California Governor Jerry Brown compares Trump supporters to "troglodytes" as both "dwell in deep dark caves."

Courtesy of Politico:

California Gov. Jerry Brown on Monday called President Donald Trump’s approach to climate change and North Korea “stupid and dangerous and silly,” sharpening his criticism of the president and comparing his supporters to cave dwellers.

“They’re both kind of very similar,” Brown said at a climate change event in New York. “You should check out the derivation of ‘Trump-ite’ and ‘troglodyte,’ because they both refer to people who dwell in deep, dark caves.”

“President Trump is the null hypothesis, which he’s proven,” Brown said. “Everything he’s doing is … stupid and dangerous and silly. I mean, come on, really, calling the North Korean dictator ‘Rocket Man'? … He is accelerating the reversal through his own absurdity.”

While acknowledging he was making “lemonade out of a lemon,” Brown predicted Trump will “fail very soon” in the face of economic and other international forces.

“These other powers are going to gang up on Mr. Trump, and he’s going to find out, ‘You’re fired,’” Brown said.

I'm really hoping that Governor Brown is correct with that last assessment.

In my opinion Jerry Brown is essentially the anti-Trump in that he believes in the power of government, sees public service as an important responsibility, and makes decisions for the benefit of his constituents and not himself.

I have been a fan of Jerry Brown since back in the days when he was dating Linda Ronstadt.

Brown took what was essentially a smoking corpse of a state, and turned it around almost completely after Arnold Schwarzenegger spent two terms trying to terminate it.

If Jerry Brown were not already 79 years of age I would seriously consider him as the perfect presidential candidate for the Democratic party in 2020.

However there may be another option as California's Lt. Governor, Gavin Newsom, is only 49 years old and is just as forward thinking and progressive as his boss.

Newsom has run a business, been mayor of San Fransisco, is a promoter of public schools, and was an early advocate for same sex marriage.

I know it's early, but I think it's time to start thinking of strong Democratic candidates, and Newsom clicks all the right boxes.

I think Trump insisted on calling KJU "rocket man" in his speech. The world winces wondering what happened to the USA.

    3. Trump probably can't remember Kim Jong Un's name. That's why he gives a lot of people nick names. That and to label and belittle them.

Our problem isn't that he'd calling him Rocket Man. Our problem is that he's threatening to attack and obliterate North Korea. Trump's stubby little fingers are itching to launch that nuke and I think he's decided on his target.

Brown has been a great governor, as was his father. As the governor of the 5th largest economy of the world he has done a great job. The red state anti-gubmint Tump troglodytes who take more federal dollars than they pay in love to bash California yet California helps finance them. Where do they rank on the global economic scale(??????????). They are truly the stupidest and most ungrateful low achievers in the world. In addition, they hate affordable health care and clean air and water. We are not perfect of course but I love this state.

    VIDEO CAN BE FOUND HERE

A man wearing a Nazi armband in downtown Seattle got punched out after throwing a banana and yelling bonkers slogans at passersby.

Witnesses provided more information to The Stranger about the Sunday afternoon incident, which was widely reported the following day.

Sean Patrick Duff told the newspaper he encountered the man while walking to see “Baby Driver.”

The unidentified man was “belligerent” and yelling “Alex Jones-style,” and a small crowd gathered, according to Duff.

A white bystander approached the man and told him to “get the f*ck out of our city,” and the neo-Nazi called the man an “ape and threw a banana at him,” Duff said.

Another man ran across the street at that point and punched the neo-Nazi in the jaw, knocking him unconscious.

Duff admits he was very high on marijuana during the incident, so he did not get involved, but said he was hoping someone would punch the neo-Nazi.

“Everyone was so joyous,” Duff said. “It was like a bonding for the community.”

He said a few people came forward to help the unconscious man, but he said they backed off when another bystander pointed out he was “Nazi trash.”

“Nobody wanted to help him,” Duff told the newspaper.

The crowd dispersed when police arrived, and officers said the man declined to provide information about the incident and left after removing his swastika armband.

Alaska had the tiny, retarded, and corrupt Sarah Palin when they could have had someone like smart, honest, and capable Jerry Brown. All it took with Sarah was what they considered a 'good wink' and some fake boobs. My sympathies. I believe your electorate would still vote for a Sarah Palin type clone. A large part of your population is now comprised of retards (yes, I'm a liberal who uses the word 'retards', dumb and conniving Trig adopting Palin doesn't dictate what words I use) from Texas and other southern states. These are ignorant stupid people who LUV Fox and Limbaugh and think Alex Jones has a good bead on things. They, of course, cannot differential their ass from a hole in the ground(and don't try to push them to 'advanced' math like 1+2=3). It must suck to live amid such idiots. Do the folks you see going about their daily chores drool and knuckle drag in public or can they put on the face of an evolved organism? Oh, I forgot, they don't believe in evolution. The Daddy in the Sky and Exxon take care of it all. Like I said, my sympathies Jesse. It must really suck to be an enlightened person in such a sea of selfish ignoramuses. California is your type of place. There is compassion, empathy, and a belief that the government should provide for a better life for everyone here. Unregulated capitalism would be an Ayn Randian toxic dystopia.

She was the California State Atty Gen. and is now our Senator.

Gavin Newsome is fine but he's only been a mayor and now Lt. Gov. Doesn't really have enough under his belt to be President.

Then again, look at who is in the Oval Office now.

Let Gavin serve a term or two as California's Governor, then we'll revisit the whole presidency thing.
