Suspected Russia propagandists on Facebook tried to organize more than a dozen pro-Trump rallies in Florida during last year’s election, The Daily Beast has learned.
The demonstrations—at least one of which was promoted online by local pro-Trump activists— brought dozens of supporters together in real life. They appear to be the first case of Russian provocateurs successfully mobilizing Americans over Facebook in direct support of Donald Trump.
The Aug. 20, 2016, events were collectively called “Florida Goes Trump!” and they were billed as a “patriotic state-wide flash mob,” unfolding simultaneously in 17 different cities and towns in the battleground state. It’s difficult to determine how many of those locations actually witnessed any turnout, in part because Facebook’s recent deletion of hundreds of Russian accounts hid much of the evidence. But videos and photos from two of the locations—Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs—were reposted to a Facebook page run by the local Trump campaign chair, where they remain to this day.
It seems like almost everyday we are learning just how involved Facebook was in helping Russian operatives hijack this election.
I have a feeling that we are still only seeing the tip of the iceberg.
The comma goes AFTER the 20, brainiacs!
ReplyDeleteI think if we knew the full story we'd be gobsmacked. The fake President squatting in the white house is there ONLY because of Russia. The American people chose HRC. The electoral college chose Twitler.Every goddamn day he horrifies me more.
ReplyDeleteWhat is most troubling to me is that Trump welcomed and invited Russian manipulation. He seems flattered as the chosen one instead of concern for the country.
ReplyDeleteBesides the known social sites that sold out and directly affected consumers such as facebook, twitter and others there was hanky panky in sites like Ancestry.com, 23 and me and others like global geno DNA data bases. Also in internet security programs like PCmatic, Norton, etc. These for profit corporations held DNA of people, they held financial private info, and had access to personal vital info. The dangerous damages to families across America was wide. College professors, Certain professions all attacked, hacked due to this breech of security and privacy. It is unacceptable and it must be exposed and corrected immediately. Crimes were committed, Lifes were damaged, And elections were stolen. It changed the outcome of our most important election, our society and our country. Certain citizens have been dangerously brainwashed And it will stop.
ReplyDeleteFYI"Sen. Graham is telling other senators that reports about a special deal for Alaska are "complete bullshit" per a senior GOP aide"
ReplyDelete"Though the Constitution gives Congress the power to tax, it also provides that “all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.” This clause has not played much of a role in American tax policy, but it creates a problem for the Alaska Bribe should Murkowski’s state be offered tax credits that most states will not receive."

VOTER FRAUD! >"If the Commission really is determined to prevent fraudulent voters, it should check with Tiffany Trump, Jared Kushner along with 3 other members of the Trump family were improperly registered to vote in more than one state. Also, Steve Mnuchin and former Trump administration alumni Steve Bannon and Sean Spicer were found to fit the Kobach DEFINITION of fraudulent voters. The commission really should investigate to see if they have become compliant with election law because, if it turns out the President’s family and members of his administration were caught up in a voter fraud conspiracy that would be embarrassing." <ILLEGAL $WAMP $PAWN?

How proud will these grassroots Trumplodytes be when it's exposed that they were manipulated by the Russians? Will they still brag about their rallies then?
ReplyDeleteI wish they would actually admit the russians figured out how to manipulate the voting machines in a way that is not easy to verify. There have been hints about this, but I think the media is hesitant to look into it further. The FEC is pretty much hobbled by republicans so they will only speak up when the press forces them to react.
