Megyn Kelly's new show is already starting to bomb.

Why does everybody hate me?
Courtesy of Politico:

Megyn Kelly’s new NBC hour following the “Today” show, in which the former Fox News star shuns political interviews for a softer, more lifestyle-driven focus, premiered on Monday to jeers from many critics.

The Washington Post’s Hank Stuever was particularly cutting: “The debut was like watching a network try to assemble its own Bride of Frankenstein, using parts of Ellen DeGeneres, Kelly Ripa and whatever else it can find.”

CNN’s Brian Lowry allowed that, “It's absurdly early, of course, to draw any conclusions about the efficacy of the Kelly experiment.” Still, he continued, “After tepid marks for her prime time newsmagazine and now her addition to ‘Today,’ it's worth considering that NBC News brass leapt at the opportunity to snag a high-profile news star without having fully thought through how best to deploy her.”

Jezebel also mocked the show, saying Kelly looked like “a HomeGoods catalog brought to life” and Newsweek was critical, as well.

This is how Time Magazine described Kelly's debut:

The host — a law school alum whose best-known skill has long been her prosecutorial zeal — served as her own defense attorney throughout the hour, pushing the case that she's not the person you remember from her years of political coverage. "The truth is, I'm kind of done with politics for now," Kelly said in a lengthy opening monologue that told her entire life story from childhood to TV stardom. "It's everywhere, everywhere, and I'm just like, it's over."

It's not just the sentiment that makes Kelly's case; it's the bearing. Kelly, a precise, crystalline wordsmith when in takedown mode, awkwardly sprinkled slang into her speech. She talked with her hands as though someone had said it was humanizing. When the cast of Today walked out with mimosas, Kelly declared, "O.M.G.!" A person who until as recently as last summer, during her Sunday-night newsmagazine show, sought to represent herself as deeply engaged in issues of the public interest now just thought it was over. Have a mimosa!

Can you say "disingenuous?"  Sure you can.

But done with politics or not, Kelly simply could not quite get that conservative stank off of her.

Courtesy of Yahoo News:

The former FOX News correspondent welcomed the cast of "Will & Grace" onto her new morning show on Monday morning ahead of the hit NBC sitcom's revival, and a comment that she made while talking to a superfan of the show is garnering Kelly criticism on Twitter.

Kelly brought lawyer Russell Turner onto the stage to meet his idols saying, "Russell didn't know this was going to happen!"

"Is it true that you became a lawyer -- and you became gay! -- because of Will?" she jokingly asked.

After informing Turner that he would be getting tickets to a live "Will & Grace" taping and a behind-the-scenes tour of the set, Kelly turned to him and said her most head-turning statement of the morning.

"I don't know about the lawyer thing, but I think the 'Will & Grace' thing and the gay thing is going to work out great," she said.

Well that "gay thing" may work out, but it very unlikely that this "new show thing" will.

How many attempts to repackage this Fox News turd does this make now?

I watched Megyn Kelly's show, it bombed. Hopefully she will find her sea legs and right her sinking ship?

Why? Let her go home and take care of her kids. Write a book. Model. She's not a journalist, not a good attorney, and no one with a brain will watch a Fox taught shill anywhere but Fox.

As with Kathie Lee, Hoda, and Kelly Ripa, there's something incredibly annoying about her no matter they try to package it.

ANYONE that aided, associated or enabled the Donald John Drumpt invasion and crime against American's is under the microscope. We the people want to know who are the enemies within our borders. WHO wants to divide us? WHO does not want progress? WHO does not want healthy citizens? WHO excuses the hateful mess that we witness today? It is time to DEMAND that it gets cleaned up and those involved exposed and convicted of this most outrageous attempted crime on humanity. May God punish their evil hateful souls and guide us in healing.

She has been branded as a right wing commentator. The right doesn’t like her because she was too “tough” on Trump, and wanted to be more than your standard FOX blonde bimbo. She was only supposed to look pretty and parrot right wing talking points. The Left won’t forgive her ( rightly so). She’s toast on tv for the forseeably future.

      Just a helpful tip.

By the way my unforgivable sin of the day was in leaving the "r" out of "sure."

I generally find it annoying when parents search high and low for something different and fancy to name their children. E.g.
    Piper, Trig, Atlee....
and then there's Megyn, who grew up outside of Albany, N.Y. and named her sons for local landmarks -- Thatcher, after John Boyd Thatcher, a NYS politician and after whom a large state park is named not far from where Megan grew up; and Yates, for, I assume, Yates Street, not far from the law school she attended.
They're not offensive names at all, just your standard middle-class-trying-too-hard-to-look-posh with first names that are someone else's surnames. And, since there are a lot of people who live in the Albany area, we know exactly how she came up with Thatcher and Yates.
Just another aspect of her trying too hard to be what she's not.

Debra Messing ‘Dismayed’ With Appearance on Megyn Kelly’s Show: I ‘Regret Going On’

Debra Messing says she regrets going on Megyn Kelly‘s new show after the former Fox News host made some interesting comments about a gay Will & Grace super-fan who was part of her Monday audience.

Messing recently posted a picture of cucumbers on her Instagram page, and a fan asked her why she went on Kelly’s show, calling the appearance a “fail.” Messing responded with “Honestly I didn’t know it was [Megyn Kelly] until that morning. The itinerary just said Today Show appearance. Regret going on. Dismayed by her comments.”

  14. They bought themselves a no talent shallow blonde ex-Fox Barbie and expected her to succeed out of her element. The only way she can function is in attack mode and that is hardly attractive in a woman. Unless they want to create another "who's your daddy" trailer trash exposé show, they have nothing for her. Because she HAS NO TALENT. It's not like she's Ellen or Oprah. She couldn't even make it on The View if they put her there.

I hope she doesn't have a long term contract. I'm sure their lawyers are already looking at ways to dump her.

The 9,746 Top Reasons We Don’t Want To Watch Megyn Kelly’s Dumb Fuckin’ New Show

Just this morning we were making fun of Erick Erickson, who is mad enough to fuck a goat about how nobody wants to watch Megyn Kelly’s show, we guess because despite NBC’s constant begging, nobody thinks it’s going to be very good. Of course, we’re pretty sure Erick Erickson is only defending her because he looooooves Megyn Kelly and wants to sexxxxxxxxxxx her, which would mean he’d have to divooooooooooorce his wife and stop FUUUUUUUUUUCKING goats. (Allegedly.)

Anyway, here’s a clip from Megyn Kelly’s show, “If You Change The Channel, It’s Probably Kelly Ripa So Might As Well Stay Here I Guess,” where she is using her MAD INTERVIEWS-ING SKILLS to ask Jane Fonda how many times she’s gotten her face operated on. It is … well shit, it’s as good as we always expected:

It is always weird and uncomfortable to watch conservatives attempt to succeed with a liberal formula. Megyn Kelley rebranded as "straight Ellen" is going to work out just as well as when Fox attempted to brand Steve Doocey as "the conservative Jon Stewart".
