Much like the Trump White House the RNC is shedding staff at an amazing rate as well.

Courtesy of Politico:

Sara Armstrong, the top staffer at the Republican National Committee, is departing, according to three people familiar with the move — the latest in a string of exits from the committee.

Armstrong, the RNC's chief of staff, is exiting to take a senior-level job at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She had been serving in the chief of staff role since early this year after helping to oversee President Donald Trump's inauguration planning.

Armstrong is the sixth staffer to leave the RNC in just over a month. That includes a handful of aides in the committee’s data department who left recently amid a change in departmental leadership. The wave of departures, coming less than a year after the 2016 election, has surprised the tight-knit world of Republican operatives.

This of course reflects a similar situation as the White House which is losing staff, even high level staff, almost daily it seems.

Is there a connection?

Hells yeah there's a connection.

Courtesy of McClatchy:

Interviews with a dozen Republican operatives and activists around the country revealed genuine frustration—and for some, disgust—over Trump’s repeated suggestions that there is an equivalence between the neo-Nazis, Ku Klux Klan members and white supremacists who marched in Virginia this weekend, and those who turned out to protest them, even as a woman died after a white supremacist rammed a car into a group of the counter-protesters.

“He is destroying the GOP one day at a time, one reckless statement and action at a time,” said Sally Bradshaw, a longtime adviser to Jeb Bush who co-authored the “autopsy” report and went on to leave the party over Trump. “Why would anyone consider supporting a political party when the leader of the party is anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-woman, and anti-black? He makes me sick.”

In the past the GOP would trot out the image of Ronald Reagan as the party's standard bearer, but the election of Donald Trump changed all of that and now they are forever tied to  a pussy grabbing, incompetent, racist, Nazi sympathizer.

And trust me Donald Trump will feature prominently in ads touting Democratic candidates for decades to come.

That is a party I would run screaming in the streets from as well.

This toxic swamp has been brewing for many years. But lets just start with 08 and the republican party pledge to destroy the Obama Presidency at all cost. And then the years of obstruction, denial and hate. Then Citizen United, and then the so called constitutional sheriffs. Yep, this silent organization of 200 sheriffs around the country and a couple thousand members have infected society with delusional BS made up by them. Sheriff joe is one of them and feels he is above the laws of Federal Law Enforcement. This is deranged dangerous. We cannot have rogue sheriffs as with the one in Utah or Arizona or Texas. They are easy to detect. This organization must dissolve and those paranoid, wackos must get mental help. Donald Trump encourages this group along with paramilitary, militias, gangs, mobs and criminals. Releasing military equipment to police and sheriff? really? why? Removing trump is one part, removing this blight on society is another. It must be done today. All of these leeches on society must be ID and removed from public service and held accountable for their behavior and actions.

Nice speech, but one question: How?

I agree it must be done, but we are now - thanks to Humpty Trumpty - looking at decades of recovery time. It will take slow and decimated effort to get rid of the the seed of rot that idiot has planted.

    3. An interesting comment I heard yesterday was that for 8 years the Republicans ran and overwhelmingly elected candidates whose primary goal was to accomplish nothing, and they did that well. Now that they have the entire government in their hands the people that they elected don't know how to get anything done. The best laid plans...

‘He won’t abide such treatment’: Gen. Kelly said ‘nobody has spoken to him’ like Trump in his 35-year career
    http://www.rawstory.com/2017/09/he-wont-abide-such-treatment-gen-kelly-said-nobody-has-spoken-to-him-like-trump-in-his-35-year-career/

During a recent “dressing down” by President Donald Trump, new White House Chief of Staff John Kelly told aides that he’s never been spoken to like that in his whole military career.

According to a report by the New York Times, Kelly reportedly told sources close to a fight between the president and his chief of staff in August that he won’t tolerate such behavior again.

After lashing out at Kelly when staffers “gently suggested [Trump] refrain from injecting politics into day-to-day issues of governing after last month’s raucous rally in Arizona,” he lashed at Kelly, who happened to be “the most senior aide in his presence.”

    3. He's not going to tolerate it again? He already tolerated it once. What's he going to do? Quit? He's had his chance to quit. He put up with it once and he's taught Trump that he can do it again and Kelly will take it. If Kelly really meant it he would have disciplined Trump on the spot. But he didn't. Kelly is no better than the rest of them.

Not likely. As someone who has spent about one-fifth of the time in the military that Kelly has I, from my admittedly limited perspective, suggest:
Keep calm, or at least display calm.
      Defuse the immediate situation.
      Think it through, consider options.
Plan a swift response for next time, a carefully-thought-out swift response.
      Mentally rehearse it.
      Wait.

Have you ever read Glory Road by Robert A. Heinlein? If so, recall that Oscar, the narrator, explained how in fencing you don't have time to think things through. The first time you see an opening, you pass it up. As the fight continues, you decide what to do if the opening appears again. You mentally rehearse it. If the opening appears again (as it did in the story) your body responds immediately, without cogitation.

    OT? Long good read:
"divided into 14 articles and released by the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (CBMW), mostly parrots denunciations of LGBTQ identities and relationships common among right-wing evangelicals."
"“We affirm that it is sinful to approve of homosexual immorality or transgenderism and that such approval constitutes an essential departure from Christian faithfulness and witness,”
Article 10 of the statement reads.
“We deny that the approval of homosexual immortality or transgenderism is a matter of moral indifference about which otherwise faithful Christian should agree to disagree.”
“From the very beginning of the Christian faith, sexual morality has always been central … These are not new teachings. They are the ancient faith.”

“Those who wish to follow Jesus must pursue sexually pure lives. A person may follow Jesus, or he may pursue sexual immorality. But he cannot do both. He must choose. One path leads to eternal life, and the other does not. These are not new teachings. They are the ancient faith.”

"“In early Christianity, Paul very clearly believes that celibacy is the best thing for people to pursue—because he believes the END TIMES are coming very soon,” Breed said. “Paul is advocating that family is pretty much useless, and it’s only a secondary option for those who can’t commit themselves to a being full Christian.”

"House flippers triggered the US housing market crash, not poor subprime borrowers" Under GWB

    https://qz.com/1064061/house-flippers-triggered-the-us-housing-market-crash-not-poor-subprime-borrowers-a-new-study-shows/

"the biggest growth of mortgage debt during the housing boom came from those with credit scores in the middle and top of the credit score distribution—and that these borrowers accounted for a disproportionate share of defaults.
As for those with low credit scores—the “subprime” borrowers who supposedly caused the crisis—their borrowing stayed virtually constant"as the researchers put it, “the rise in mortgage delinquencies is virtually exclusively accounted for by real estate investors.” This new paper’s investigation into the habits of middle- and upper-income real estate speculators in the run-up to the crisis marks yet another chapter of the history books in desperate need of revision."

"rump’s own frustrations, according to those who speak with him regularly. Trump told one associate he missed his old life in New York. And he’s become increasingly focused on the prospect of losing support among his core supporters — the voters he once said would stick with him even if he SHOT someone on New York’s Fifth Avenue."

"Fox News survey released last week put Trump’s overall approval rating at 41 percent, and notably cited a 7 percentage point drop among conservatives and a 9 point drop among whites without a college degree, one of Trump’s strongest voting groups."

"Some Trump advisers outside the West Wing believe the relationship between Trump and Kelly is inevitably doomed, given their dramatically different personalities and styles."
"“General John Kelly is doing a great job as Chief of Staff,” Trump said Friday on Twitter. “I could not be happier or more impressed."
