On an otherwise regular morning in mid-August, viewers in Providence, Rhode Island were treated to a segment called Behind the Headlines with Mark Hyman, which immediately followed the local weather report.
“We have the greatest health care in the world,” Hyman says, despite the fact that some 27 million people in the U.S. do not have health insurance, and millions more are underinsured.
“Did Obamacare make us healthier? No,” Hyman declares. “With Obamacare in place, more Americans are dying than ever before. Now this doesn’t mean Obamacare is killing people, but it does mean that Obamacare isn’t making people healthier.”
The connection between Obamacare and a higher mortality rate has no correlation whatsoever, and experts actually cite more car crashes, drug overdoses, and gun deaths as the driving reasons for that rate — not Obamacare.
And despite the fact that millions of people in the United States are under- and uninsured, the Affordable Care Act has given an estimated 20 million people access to health insurance. Access to care saves lives, not the opposite.
Despite his concession that higher mortality rates don’t mean Obamacare is killing people, Hyman ends his segment with the conclusion that “government-directed health care can kill.”
The segments are aired daily on Sinclair owned news outlets, and are only one example of a number of similar "must run" segments that are forced on the local affiliates.
Rarely do they offer data to back up their talking points, and when they do it is heavily skewed or misrepresented.
But of course data is unimportant to their target audience anyway.
I don't know? can we see a nk china russian spy school manual? Anything about poison? cell phone tumors? exploding wash machines and toys? How about sonic noise? or harassing and hacking a person to commit murder or other insane crimes? Like rigging elections. Lying with straight face? There are a small percent of bad doctors in the usa that have expressed their AHC complaints over the years. Are they intentionally causing harm to patients? Maybe? Its time for socialized medicine and smart medicine to cut cost and cures.
ReplyDeleteThere is an extreme amount of cancers due to genetics, environment and diet. There are unnecessary deaths today due to access, cost and greed. Promoting division who lives and dies is not American. We want a healthy society and we want to know our citizens genetic heritage ancestry and story.
Yes, Sinclair owns many stations and yes it consist of commercials of healthcare insurance, product lawsuits, life insurance, death, dying, gun shops and hospice.
ReplyDeleteIt is used like facebook and twitter. Along with removing the weak drumpf foundation, they must remove certain owners from operating media, communications or public office also. It is clear what happened and what ignorant game is being played.

ReplyDelete"Seeing Schilling get fired while Hill was not is, to them, further proof that the deck is stacked against white men and the right in general and the mamby-pamby PC police are ruining the country and ESPN is part of the left-leaning mainstream fake media that silences right-wing voices."ill seems to recognize that this is a unique political moment and that black people are under threat from both the police and Trump, which means that if you have a platform being silent would be both immoral and dangerous. ESPN gave Hill a platform and helped her become a national STAR."

Russian money probably backing the Sinclair broadcast co. When Vlad was planning his silent coup of Russia he slowly took over their broadcast co. Now they are obligated to say nice things about him.
ReplyDeleteSoon, we will just hear nice things about old orange cloud.
In which case I hope Sinclair and their overlords are implicated in the Mueller investigation and brought down.
DeleteThe public are too fucking stupid to recognize propaganda like this. They'll swallow it. They already have. For some it just confirms what they already believe.
KATU-2 Portland Oregon.
ReplyDeleteDon’t watch.
There is nothing stopping local stations from airing a rebuttal right after each one of these. But they're too complacent to do it. They don't really care about the propaganda aspects as long as their bills are paid and they are employed. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them actually believed this crap.
