Going to have to start spraying this liberally around the ole IM comment section.

Russian bots, Trump trolls, Hillary haters, we have been getting them all lately.

But that's fine, that only means we are doing our job.

      https://www.rawstory.com/2017/10/is-facebook-blocking-access-to-data-about-russian-infiltration-in-the-2016-election/

"“They also had scrubbed from the Internet nearly everything—thousands of Facebook pages and the related data—that had made the [investigative reporting] work possible.”Facebook’s quick creation of a firewall blocking reporters like Albright raises more questions than it settles—and is the latest of many responses where it has sought to downplay and discount its role in facilitating the spread of propaganda in 2016."
"larger research project: tracking the most influential political websites and patterns of online interaction in 2016. Six of them were named in various news accounts: Blacktivists, United Muslims of America, Being Patriotic, Heart of Texas, Secured Borders, and LGBT United."
" if Facebook’s comment that it is “cooperating fully with federal investigations” is accurate, then the truth will eventually come out."

I’ve been following you for close to a decade, Gryph. For being a “nobody,” you sure do get your share of them and that’s what you choose to let through!

Gryphen - like many of us here. 3:25 - believes whole heartedly in the Constitution and a person's right to have opinions and speak them.

What I would like to know is simple: How many comments does he actually stop? Even if it's just a percentage.

    2. I typically only reject a handful of comments each day.

However on Palin stories that often goes up significantly, and on stories about Russia it now spikes as well.

Most of the rejected ones are simply attempts to hijack the comment section, blatant lies, or attacks on other commenters or people not even mentioned in the article.

I will admit that I don't read or comment on IM nearly as much as I used to because of the takeover by obvious trolls.

      Same here.

      Especially with the Bernie stuff.

The level of vitriol got very uncomfortable on a blog where people used to be able to disagree without name-calling.

I hear ya, I only comment here because I don't have any social media or a discus account so I just say something every now and then because it's the only place I can.

All my other favorite blogs are discus or facebook so can't say anything, but I always try to behave myself ;-)

Tiny finger dotard cries "stop them stop them" I cant handle the truth and I cant steal reality, everyone hates me, I'm ugly, a crook and liar. Stop them, stop them.

O/T -- How the GOP will get rid of Trump so his widdow ego is saved -- claim he has Altzheimers. Simple: he will get sympathy and it will explain his erratic behavior...and save face for the idiots who still support him -- 78% of the GOP. I hope Mueller doesn't fall for it.

Bring in the doctors -- course to know for sure you have cut open his brain after death.

And it will protect him from prosecution: I forgot to add that. win-win. But he should be seen to be in a "facility" of some sort of such cases where he can do no harm.

I wonder who has power of attorney in his family?

    2. Anonymous8:13 AM

Nope that wont work. The dope has a history for all of his life behaving like this. This is nothing odd for Donald. He is a bad boy.

    3. That might be a last resort to protect Trump from prison, but what about all those that enabled him and covered it up? What do you do to those that conspire to put an Alzheimer’s nutjob in the Oval Office and then cover up the fact? They’d be admitting they knew he was incapable or a danger to the country. Plus, if they’re making decisions for him, isn’t that basically a coup?

Sure, it might keep him out of prison but it will remove him from office, plus a lot of OTHER people will either go to prison or have their lives forever ruined. Could even take down the Republican Party.

I doubt they’ll take this route. In fact, I’m sure they’ll do everything they can to prove the exact opposite.

      Just like Reagan.

I would advise you to only allow comments that are about the article you posted. And I am guilty of posting off-topic comments myself. Maybe you could create a different place for us to post links to what we have been reading or suggestions for articles for you.

    1. There’s nothing wrong with off track as long as it is clearly posted as such. Sometimes it’s the only way to bring Gryphen’s attention to something in the news he may have missed.

He doesn't offer an "open post" like a lot of blogs do so OT stuff does happen a lot around here, and some of it I see he takes and then makes a blogpost about, so it seems to work for his format.

So your' blog has been noticed by the dark power behind Trump. Hmmmm.
We know that Russian Dotard plays mean too. Makes Donald look like a screaming toddler. But you know, we are Americans fighting with words and outrage at the horrible changes in our country. We have to say what we have to say. Troll be damned.
