Hustler Magazine founder Larry Flynt is reportedly offering a $10 million reward for information that could lead to the impeachment of President Trump.
In the ad, Flynt calls Trump an “illegitimate” president who “was installed only by the quirks of our antiquated Electoral College.”
Flynt cites several reasons he believes Trump should be impeached in the ad, including Trump’s firing of former FBI Director James Comey and his withdrawal of the United States from the Paris climate change agreement.
The adult magazine founder also ripped Trump for his “unconscionable defense of the KKK and neo-Nazis after the Charlottesville riots,” and argued that Trump’s “worrisome” ability to “trigger a nuclear world war” is one of the more “horrifying” reasons Trump should be impeached.
“Impeachment would be a messy, contentious affair, but the alternative - three more years of destabilizing dysfunction - is worse,” Flynt writes in the ad. “Both good Democrats and good Republicans who put country over party did it before with Watergate.”
Flynt writes that impeachment would require “unimpeachable evidence” and said that’s why he is offering a $10 million reward.
“We need to flush everything out into the open,” Flynt wrote.
Flynt has been doing this schtick for decades now, and it rarely seems to have much effect.
However I have to admit that he makes some rather salient points.
So what the hell, if there is somebody out there with the smoking gun, who is only motivated by money, then maybe this will be the key to getting that information to the proper authorities.
Having said that I still think Robert Mueller is our best hope for taking Trump down.
Ex-employees of Drumpf have to pay Drumpf around 5 million if they break confidentiality agreement. 5 mil is still a pretty good chunk of change for ratting out a slimy rat. Somebody-go for it!

DeleteI wish that I could agree with you that Mueller is the best hope for taking Donnie Dotard down, but no matter what Mueller exposes, it would be up to the republicans in the house and senate to impeach Dotard. These elected republicans have one overriding goal: to be re-elected. With the conservative base solidly behind Dotard, elected republicans would not do anything that would risk upsetting this base and getting primaried. Elected republicans doing what is right for America and the world? Ha!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I think the best way to get rid of Dotard is to let his poor life style catch up with him and present him with a massive heart attack or stroke. I say "unfortunately" not because he doesn't deserve it, but because it might take longer than we have.
I would rather it be for getting him indicted for a criminal act. Impeachment does not automatically mean out of office. In prison would do that.

Say what you will, it is a sorry commentary on this country when it is the porn industry that is doing more to protect our Constitutional rights than our elected officials.
ReplyDeleteI'm talking First Amendment. Larry is a huge defender of the first amendment and I'm sure that Trump's attacks on the media, journalists and the First Amendment got his attention fast and motivated him to DO something rather than just wait. Wait for Mueller, wait for Congress, wait for whatever.
If he's able to buy enough evidence to impeach Trump that is one thing. The real problem is getting Congress to actually follow through and impeach him. Ryan and McConnell have no inclination to do anything about the pustule in the White House through impeachment. So either an end-run has to be done or Ryan and McConnell have to have their hands forced through evidence and pressure from enough of the American people. I'd say having a monumental loss in 2018 could do it. If they suspect they'll lose one or both houses and the only way to maintain power is to dump Trump, then they'd do it. But right now they are betting the farm on maintaining all of their seats and even gaining a few Democratic ones.
The DNC isn't doing anything to disabuse them of this mindset.
