Turns out the Mercer family billionaires are helping to fund Trump's Russia defense.

Robert Mercer
Courtesy of Newsweek:

Billionaire Robert Mercer and his wife Diana donated almost $200,000 to the legal defense fund of the Republican Party on the day that President Donald Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey, financial filings show.

The combined $193,400 donation the Mercers made on May 9 went to the GOP legal fund that Trump has been drawing from to pay the lawyers defending him during the investigation into whether Russia interfered in the 2016 election.

The Mercers are just one of several billionaire couples donating heavily to the fund in recent months, according to the filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

Interesting, that a man who claims to be worth multiple billions of dollars is always expecting others to pick up the check.

I don't really think their money will prove sufficient to protect Donald Trump from justice.

Not with Robert Mueller on the case.

Pay to play in dotard drumpf world. Those global billionaires own and bought the dotard drumpf tower of lounging liars attempting to get their little world of greed and ignorance in order. It really is a pathetic example of humanity. So many hurt and harmed by their actions and money.

I really wish Trump's wives had been more selective about who they breed with and yes, that includes Melania.

Melanie is not a wife. She is called on for sex, to make Trump look like he's wonderful, look what's following six steps behind. He only permitted her to get pregnant when she agreed to get her enhanced body back right after birth (like Ivanka.) These people cannot love. They are all about money and appearances. They are barely human.

I truly doubt Melania has had any form of sex with Trump since Baron was born. She’s arm candy.

"The level of disrespect for the Bill of Rights that Trump showed is his natural impulse is striking. It is not the job of the Senate Intelligence Committee to investigate the media. The job of the committee is to conduct oversight and when necessary investigate the Executive Branch of the federal government. It is part of the checks and balances system of our governmental system."Trump just spit on the Constitution and his dangerous impulse to disregard freedoms and our governmental system should not be ignored."

    https://thinkprogress.org/trump-russia-facebook-accounts-propelled-trumps-campaign-f8916bd8c55a/

Part 1 "Facebook and Twitter, have refused to yield to growing pressure to release the content of the ads and accounts to the public. The companies revealed the material they uncovered to Congress, but have declined to detail how these Ru$$ian actors tried to stir outrage, confusion, and misinformation on some of the world’s largest social media platforms."
"ThinkProgress, analyzed previous reporting to match those eyewitness stories with the specific social media accounts and pages in question, many of them available through caches, to examine the substance of the allegations — to watch the fake news in action as it crept across social media. The clearest theme to emerge from the Ru$$ian accounts exhumed so far is something many following the 2016 president election will recognize: an obvious and sustained effort to support Donald Trump. The information that’s come to light since the election"
"One post, uncovered by ABC News and running after the election, featured Trump as Santa Claus, with Ted Cruz lurking as an elf in the background. Hillary Clinton appears trapped in a snow-globe on the president’s desk."
"Former White House adviser Sebastian Gorka followed “Tea Party News,” another Ru$$ian account that offered a stream of Trump quotes and praise for the Republican candidate. As Talking Points Memo noted, the account not only promoted Trump’s campaign events, but further “offered to soothe the hurt FEELINGS of conservatives[.]”
'The most successful of these Ru$$ia-backed pro-Trump rallies, however, took place in Florida last August, in the lead-up to the election.
The “Florida Goes Trump!” rally garnered support from some of Trump’s most outspoken supporters in the state, including the recent chief of the Broward Republican Party, and it turned out dozens of supporters drawn in by the “Being Patriotic” page. As investigative website Bellingcat documented via social media, supporters gathered to chant and cheer their support for Trump, as well as “enthusiastically (but not quite in harmony) yell[ing]
‘lock her up’ about Hillary Clinton.” LOCK THEM UP^

DIVERT! CNN>"a question about why President Trump avoided talking about gun control during his trip on Wednesday to Las Vegas by criticizing prominent Democrats — including Hillary Clinton, who is a private citizen — for not tweeting more about guns before the Las Vegas massacre occurred."
CONway said. “You see Hillary Clinton, who’s out on a book tour talking about herself, not talking about this. You see her rushing to judgment on Twitter the other day while people are still looking through the rubble searching through the hospital for their missing loved ones, trying to politicize it. She’s tweeted about guns exactly one time this year — Bernie Sanders, zero times, Elizabeth Warren, zero times.”“They have tweeted about Russia over 30 times — Sanders and Warren — and it approximates CNN’s own coverage,” she said. “Your obsession with Russia has been to the exclusion of this conversation, so I know the high-horse cavalry loves to run in thumping their chests after the tragedies, but let’s step back and have a thoughtful conversation about everything that is at play here. The more information all of us can learn about what happened in Las Vegas, the better.”
"“We’re not gonna talk about that today,” said Trump, who benefited from nearly $30 million in National Rifle Association campaign contributions last year. “We won’t talk about that.”"

FYI"The new policy reverses a policy put in place in 2014 by then-Attorney General Eric Holder. The fundamental question is whether denying someone employment based on their gender identity (i.e. being transgender) constitutes discrimination on the basis of that person’s “sex,” as protected under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. Holder held that trans people fall under that category, but Sessions has now reversed that and declared they no longer enjoy such protections.“Title VII does not prohibit discrimination based on gender identity per se,” Sessions writes, according to BuzzFeed. Under his view, the law only covers discrimination between “men and women.”"

      https://www.thedailybeast.com/mississippis-draconian-anti-lgbt-law-the-worst-in-the-nation-is-set-to-take-effect

"HB 1523 will take effect this week."

"All that will be decided over the next 48 hours.
Lawsuit aside, HB 1523 is a bold, and almost certainly unconstitutional, attack on LGBT individuals. Signed into law on April 5, 2016, the law singles out three religious beliefs for special protection: that marriage means one man and one woman, that sexual relations should only happen inside such a marriage, and that gender is “immutable” and corresponds to sex at birth."The response to HB 1523 has been dramatic. Six states and 20 cities have issued travel bans, barring government employees from non-essential travel to Mississippi. The United Kingdom warned gay people against traveling there."

    2. Until it goes to the Supreme Court.

BTW Kennedy wants to retire within a year. That means Trump (or rather his puppetmasters) will be nominating a replacement. If Gorsucks is any indication you can imagine the horror that will be put forth. Unless the Democrats win back majorities in the House and Senate we will be screwed with a 5-4 Deplorable majority for the next 20-30 YEARS!!!!!

he's not worth much at all. daddy either bailed him out or he went bankrupt. he refuses to show his tax returns for more than one reason-he's not as rich as he brags, and he took dirty money-or he didn't pay taxes.

  9. Well, they're neck deep in it so in order to shield discovery of their involvement they need to stop it as quickly as possible.

Then OWN Cambridge Analytica that targeted the fake news. Steve Bannon is a heavy investor in it. It is in their best interests to protect Jared Kushner so he doesn't spill all he knows.

"The Mercers have been linked to this investigation through their stake in the data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica and involvement in the Trump campaign. They own a $10 million share in the firm which helped the Trump campaign use granular data to target ads at specific American voters on Facebook."

Money always wins. What is ironic is that a bunch of poor people voted this idiot into office and now he is going to run the show for the next 8 years and they will not benefit at all.

    I kind of love it.

    http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/47595_A_Massive_Exposé_From_Buzzfeed_on_How_Breitbart_and_Milo_Yiannopoulos_Pushed_White_Nationalism_Into_the_Mainstream

"This is an ugly story full of the same ugly people I’ve been covering at LGF with disgust, and it’s long past time that it comes out; these are the hateful personalities who played a huge role in propelling racist icon Donald Trump into the White House: Here’s How Breitbart And Milo Smuggled White Nationalism Into The Mainstream."
"after the violent white supremacist protest in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August, Breitbart published an article explaining that when Bannon said the site welcomed the alt-right, he was merely referring to “computer gamers and blue-collar voters who hated the GOP brand.”"new emails and documents, however, clearly show that Breitbart does more than tolerate the most hate-filled, racist voices of the alt-right. It thrives on them, fueling and being fueled by some of the most toxic beliefs on the political spectrum — and clearing the way for them to enter the American mainstream."’s a relationship illustrated most starkly by a previously unreleased April 2016 video in which Yiannopoulos sings “America the Beautiful” in a Dallas karaoke bar as admirers, including the white nationalist Richard Spencer, raise their arms in Nazi salutes."These documents chart the Breitbart alt-right universe. They reveal how the website — and, in particular, Yiannopoulos — links the Mercer family, the billionaires who fund Breitbart, to underpaid trolls who fill it with provocative content, and to extremists striving to create a white ethnostate." and propels them from the unsavory parts of the internet up to TrumpWorld, collecting advertisers’ checks all along the way.

These are the people who are destroying the United States’ reputation as a forward-thinking tolerant society, and replacing it with a feudalistic paranoid vision of nihilism in the service of unchecked power."
