Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore is now fundraising off of allegations that he is a pedophile.

Courtesy of the Daily Kos:

What’s an uber-conservative God-fearing Republican politician to do faced with careful, detailed reporting that, as a man in his 30s, he abused his position as an assistant district attorney to prey on teenage girls? If you’re Alabama’s Roy Moore, you fundraise off of it. That’s right, Moore is out with a fundraising email claiming that “The Obama-Clinton Machine’s liberal media lapdogs just launched the most vicious and nasty round of attacks against me I’ve EVER faced.”

"Vicious and nasty round of attacks" is Republican-speak for "People are telling the truth about me again."

You have to admit it takes some balls to actually send out a fundraising email that cites allegations of pedophilia.

And it appears that there are many who will continue to support this pig, and will likely send money to benefit his campaign.
One Alabama state representative even suggested that it was the women who should face prosecution:

“If they believe this man is predatory, they are guilty of allowing him to exist for 40 years. I think someone should prosecute and go after them. You can’t be a victim 40 years later, in my opinion,” Henry said.

I think that pretty much sums up some of the thinking in Alabama.

I like the way Romney puts it:
    @MittRomney
Innocent until proven guilty is for criminal convictions, not elections. I believe Leigh Corfman. Her account is too serious to ignore. Moore is unfit for office and should step aside.

He needs to be referred to as "Molester Moore" every time, over and over, from now until the election.

    4. As soon as the late night shows start hammering it, Molester Moore, over and over, he's done. If Luther Strange mounts a write-in campaign, which he has plenty of time to do, Molester Moore will be finished. Strange will solicit and get plenty of money to mount his write-in campaign. If there's one thing the Republicans will not do, they will not give up this seat to a Democrat without a big, messy, dirty fight. It will be up to the Democrats to FIGHT DIRTIER!

Love the way the Right wing is whining that how come this shit surfaces now instead of at any of his other political campaigns....

when his other campaigns were all confined to kiddy-pestering Alabama...

and this is the first time the creep has had national exposure.

Plus, as they're finding out, who would believe them? The wouldn't have been believed as girls and they're not believed as women. WaPo interviewed 30 people and did more than due diligence to confirm these facts and look what's happening.

Trump has indoctrinated his Deplorables to dismiss anything the Republicans label as "fake news". Time for the Democrats to use their "fake news" against them.

"A joint fundraising committee benefitting Moore and a handful of Republican Party organs filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Friday removing the National Republican Senatorial Committee as one of its beneficiaries. Going forward, the committee’s fundraising will benefit Moore’s Senate campaign, the Alabama Republican Party, and the Republican National Committee but not the NRSC."

"The NRSC’s removal from the account is the most concrete step taken to date to create distance between the national Republican Party and the Moore campaign"

Lip service. This won't impact Moore's war chest in the least.

    2. Kayla Kisor Moore was 24 when she married Roy Moore (38) in 1985. There is 14 years difference between their ages. He's 70 and she's 56.

That means when Roy was 32 and hitting on girls 14, 16, 17 and 18, Moore's wife would have been....18.

Maybe he courted her for 6 years before marrying her? Maybe he decided that 14 years younger is the perfect age, regardless of how old he was, hence marrying a 24 year old when he was 38.

Ok.I have never said anything about these things, but when I was barely in Kindergarden,50 years ago,my mom and dad would go to a bar on Sat around lunch time, and leave me and my 1 year older brother outside to play with other kids. One of the older boys raped me.All I remember now is the scream,so loud, that I heard, and how I din'y know it was me screaming.I told my mom.She said I was a liar.So I thought I was at fault.Later, when I was 12,I was a "mothers helper" for the summer. The dad raped me,while mom was at work and the little ones were asleep. He did this 5 or 6 times, and told me not to tell.I didn't tell because I knew I would be called a liar, and it was probably my fault anyway.
This was 50 years ago,I've never told anyone, but it did happen.
