Donald Trump in response to a question about unfilled positions in the State Department.: "I'm the only one that matters."

Courtesy of HuffPo:

President Donald Trump brushed off concerns that the State Department still has key unfilled jobs, telling Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that he’s the only one who matters.

“We don’t need all the people they want us to get,” Trump said in an interview that aired Thursday night. “Let me tell you ― the one that matters is me. I’m the only one that matters because when it comes to it, that’s what the policy is going to be.”

The president also blamed Senate Democrats for dragging out the approval process for his nominees. While some State Department job picks are waiting for confirmation, more than a dozen top positions remain vacant with no named nominee, according to a Fox News article published last month.

Damn I swear I felt somebody walk across my grave.

That is one of the most chilling answers I have heard yet.

Donald Trump is a fucking idiot, and clearly suffering from a mental illness.

Only somebody with an extreme megalomaniac would suggest that they, and they alone, are the only important person needed to run a country as vast and complicated as the united States of America.

Just imagine if President Obama had answered a question like that. Never mind trying, you can't do it, because he NEVER would have.

When asked later if Trump thought that Rex Tillerson would last the duration, he responded with:

“Well, we’ll see,” Trump said. “I don’t know who’s gonna be ― duration.”

Yes, let's dismiss all of the grownups and leave the cranky toddler in charge of everything.

Okay look if you need me, I will be hiding under my bed.

He has to say those things about himself. That's how he survives. Just keeps telling himself how wonderful he is. And he believes it. I don't know what it's called in psychology but it's a disorder. He has a godlike complex. Getting worst each day. Problem is, he followers have that cult mentality and they believe he was sent by God, or it God. Problem with that for Trump, is Putin thinks he's God also.

Trump Is Freaking Out That Mueller 'Is Going to Get Him,' According to 'The Art of the Deal' Ghostwriter

Donald Trump is anxious, angry and overall freaking out about the investigation into whether his campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election.

That's according to Tony Schwartz, the ghostwriter for Trump's 1987 best-seller The Art of the Deal. Schwartz, an outspoken Trump critic, told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Thursday that he thinks Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller's recent indictments of three Trump associates have left the commander-in-chief concerned—even if he won't admit it.

"There is a level at which, despite his desire not to feel it, Trump is very, very, very anxious that Mueller's going to get him," Schwartz said.

Though it's not yet clear how disastrous the political outcome will be, one can be pretty sure already that the trip will be successful as a promotion tour for Trump Inc.

"... the president stopped by Trump International Hotel in Waikiki to "say hello and thank you to the employees for all their hard work" (Politico) - together with reporters and cameras, of course.

“… Japanese department stores have put Trump’s Virginia wines on sale at large markups.” (NY Magazine)

“… Japanese companies that import her clothing label say they’ve had a surge in sales. … “I think people who saw the news about Ivanka’s visit to Japan are checking our website and buying,” said Yukie Suzuki, a Waja spokeswoman [of an online store].” (WaPo)

    Hey, isn't that great?

    Prepare to be RAPED, Alaska.

Alaska lawmakers push to drill for more oil

...In order to fight climate change and help cover the expensive burden, Alaskan lawmakers have come up with a solution: drill more. Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski, who supports drilling in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, voiced her long-held opinion during a hearing of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.

...“And we have waited for nearly 40 years for the right technologies to come along, so that the footprint of development is small enough to ensure that the environment continues to be respected and will not be harmed,” she said during the opening statement of the hearing. “This is not a choice between energy and the environment.”

Generally someone terrible like Joe Miller primaries Lisa M so she ends up being way, way, way the lesser of two evils.

Although I really don't care one way or the other if a Dem doesn't have a chance (Hint: they don't) so a Joe Miller Senatorial seat might just be as amusing as this entire Trump thing is. I have not laughed so much in many years, so I guess, bring it on, "Murkowski needs to go" as you say, and I hope you're okay with Joe Miller, he does fit right in with the Trump regime so maybe it's really Miller Time?

O/T - According to an article in Politico, Manafort and his defense team have proposed a $12.5 million dollar bail package, ensuring that he will appear for his trial, tentatively scheduled for next May.

Supposedly he is using real estate assets and life insurance policies to guarantee the bond. Now then, that amount of $12.5 million sounds vaguely familiar, doesn't it? It sure does!

That was the amount purportedly paid to him by former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, a pro-putin puppet. When he was overthrown in late 2014, his office was ransacked, and ledgers were found in his safe.

These ledgers were found to contain names of individuals and politicians who were paid off. One ledger, when translated, contained Manafort's name, with the amount of, you guessed it, $12.5 million, paid for "consulting" fees. Coincidence??

I hope that Mr. Mueller squeezes the shit out of these fuckin' traitorous weasels, finds the money trail, and it leads him straight to the ultimate prize - the fat orange crook himself!

Don't forget, NO American or reputable international bank financed trump after his numerous bankruptcies! Remember, "follow the money"!!!

'I want to quit': Fox News employees say their network's Russia coverage was 'an embarrassment'

..."I'm watching now and screaming," one Fox News personality said in a text message to CNN as the person watched their network's coverage. "I want to quit."

"It is another blow to journalists at Fox who come in every day wanting to cover the news in a fair and objective way," one senior Fox News employee told CNN of their outlet's coverage, adding that there were "many eye rolls" in the newsroom over how the news was covered.

The person said, "Fox feels like an extension of the Trump White House."

Trump is used to getting away with everything – those days may now be over

In any normal situation, an admission by a presidential campaign adviser that he had talked to a mysterious professor with links to the Russian authorities about obtaining “dirt” on the rival candidate, ought to be jaw-dropping news.

More than that, some might consider it evidence of the sort of collusion with Moscow that has been alleged of the individual who won that contest and now lives in the White House.

But this is 2017, Donald Trump is the US President and as we have been forced to hurriedly to learn, precedent and normality count for little. Every day, something else becomes “the new normal”.

"Is this the most successful intelligence operation in at least modern Kremlin history?" Reid asked Malcolm Nance.

"I'm tempted to say it's the most successful intelligence operation in the history of the world," Nance said. "And I'm a scholar in this and I know people who are very, very close to this who were real-time participants, and they say that the Russians apparently got their hooks into another country that has atomic bombs. But do you know who warned us? Hillary Clinton."

"She did. There is a lengthy video that you can find online," Reid said. "Nobody listened."

I just have to say it. Look at that fat ass! The same fat ass that expects his wife to be "hot". Money can but a lot eh Donny.

I bet Melania did not sign off for this bullshit of being First Lady, that she is a total failure at it is not suprising. All she does is pose with her sunglasses and outfits.

Good God what a miserable life she chose from being a nude model to this and all for the money. You can bet she never signed up for this and resents it.

Real example for girls everywhere! I miss Michelle Obama who was smart and took all the hits and maintained her dignity. The names Michelle Obama was called would have brought a lessor person, woman , to their knees. And if you want and example for your Daughters show them the insults that were thrown at Mrs. Obama and how class handles it.

Except when one of his "policies" fails, he blames anyone and everyone. He also said in the interview that, because he is a "businessman," he knows that you can do without a lot of your employees. Because he's such a great "businessman." Republicans have been trying to tell us how we need businessmen running the country but, whenever we are unlucky enough to have one in a political role, he's a disaster. The state of Michigan is a current example: Rick Snyder, great carpetbagging "businessman" who's succeeded in ruining what was left of the public schools in Detroit, letting people get sick and die with Legionnaire's disease, poisoning the water in Flint, and who, because he's failing to take any action, is likely to pollute the waters of the Great Lakes with a failing gas pipeline. The problem is that rich businessmen may know how to make money for themselves but they have no idea how to care for millions of people whose needs and concerns vary greatly.
