Well at least now we know why Alabama is not horrified about Roy Moore.“Forty years ago in Alabama, there’s a lot of mamas and daddies that’d be thrilled that their 14-year-old was getting hit on by a district attorney.”— VICE News (@vicenews) December 8, 2017

And why I will never visit Alabama.
Ay dios mio! They are bat shit crazy down there
ReplyDeleteThat's what happens when you marry your first cousins for generations.
DeleteI can only watch a few minutes of that focus group. The stupidity stings. Alabama must be hell on earth if you are a liberal resident of that State. How would you get through the day when you are met with such sheer ignorance and hatred; all in the name of supposed God-fearing moral superiority.
DeleteHow close to brain dead do you have to be to be from Alabama? (Rhetorical, sort of.)
DeleteWomen were livestock. Cheap livestock.
ReplyDeleteIn the 1980s, I worked with a woman whose mother got her a boob job and dropped her off at the bar in the military base at Ft. McClellan when she was 15 so she could land herself a military enlisted husband. The boob job was "an investment in muh FUTURE!" I also knew a woman from Alabama who was married at 13. That tells you what Alabama thinks about girls and women.
DeleteCharles Blow wrecks the GOP for supporting ‘molester’ Moore: ‘I don’t know what they stand for’
ReplyDelete...“This is a new world,” he said. After conservatives heard the “Access Hollywood” tape and voted for Trump anyway, “I was in a no man’s land.”
He continued, “If these Republicans elect Roy Moore with the child abuse and pedophilia accusations — in addition to the things he has said on the record — then I don’t know what they stand for anymore.”

Racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hate: Desperate Roy Moore campaign pulls out all the stops
...The bombastic and combative Moore is hitting back at child molestation accusations by doubling down on hot button racial and cultural issues in a move designed to energize his base of angry supporters.
His most recent campaign mailer’s “first bullet point,” said Politico, is a slam against Jones — accusing the Democrat of supporting “players kneeling to protest the National Anthem,” an issue that President Donald Trump has used successfully to stir up racial resentment against black athletes who are seen as insufficiently grateful for their success.
At a rally this week with fired White House chief strategist and Breitbart.com CEO Steve Bannon, Moore claimed that his shoestring campaign is under siege by the “Soros army,” a reference to Jewish billionaire George Soros, one of the right wing’s favorite punching bags.
To Fox News and talk radio conservatives, Soros is seen as an all-powerful puppet master who controls the American left and is purportedly part of conspiracy by “globalist” Jews to implement a “one-world government.”
And of course, Moore has evoked the LGBTQ community, his most hated constituency. Moore has celebrated Russian President Vladimir Putin for his virulent intolerance and made blocking same-sex marriage the hill he was willing to die on as a state Supreme Court justice.
“They just don’t like conservatives like us,” Moore said of “outsiders” in a recent campaign ad. “They call us warmongers for wanting to rebuild the military, racists for wanting to secure the border and bigots for recognizing the sanctity of marriage and they call us foolish for believing in God.”
And finally, the Moore campaign has fallen back on that reliable Republican canard, voter fraud, already alleging that votes in the state have been tampered with.
“He’s claiming voter fraud already?” laughed rival Jones when informed of the accusations. “It seems like every time somebody gets behind and they’re going to lose an election, they start claiming voter fraud.”

Michael Steele is equally critical.

Never thought I'd see the day when I agreed with a former chair of the RNC. But Steele puts country before party, where it should be.
"“This political party, which has stood on the moral high ground for lo these 30-plus years, sanctimoniously telling people ... what they should do and what they shouldn’t do ... sanctimoniously judging people because of who they love and where they live, now has the temerity to step back and go, ‘Oh, well, I just think we just leave it to people to decide what they want to do.’ Really?” Steele asked incredulously on MSNBC on Monday.
“I wish more Republicans would find something related to a backbone” on Moore, said Steele, who predicted a “dear price” for the party next year for not condemning the Senate candidate. “Women and men around the country are looking at this and going, ‘I cannot believe that you value the vote of a pedophile over leading this country, over protecting women,’” Steele added."
After that tar and feathering without due process by the Democrats, I'd say the Republicans aren't the only party that has lost it's way.
Fuck you, Tom Perez.
WATCH: Fox News anchor swats down Sheriff David Clarke for disrespecting Rep. John Lewis

BAM!
Well, remember that both are African Americans. I don't think any Fox News person would hammer Trump or any other white Republican for showing disrespect for John Lewis.
DeleteBeaglemom
No. They took care of livestock. Even called the vet on occasion.
ReplyDeleteTheir wimmens not so much!
DeleteIf a couple is married in Alabama, then moves to Texas and gets a divorce, are they still legally brother and sister?
ReplyDeleteWhat's the definition of a virgin in Alabama? A girl that can run faster than her brothers.
Yeah, there's a million and they'll all be coming out right after those mouth breathing knuckle dragging Deliverance rednecks put that child molester in the Senate.

St Ronnie is rolling in his grave.
ReplyDeleteNew state motto for Mississippi:
At least we're not Alabama.
Wasn't Moore originally selected by Bannon? He is the guy we should all be worried about as he makes his rounds of the country digging up more Roy Moores.
Jeff the elf must be really proud that his seat might be filled by a criminal, then again he is a republican.
Gannon is certainly the most evil of them all. I have the impression that he personally chose the Cabinet members and heads of various departments, always choosing the person most likely to destroy the federal department or agency where they were placed. Steve Bannon's motto seems to be: "Destroy it all."
DeleteBeaglemom
I'm not sure which is more frightening:
DeletePutin manipulating Trump (who's too stupid and egotistical to recognize how he's being controlled) to destroy the country.
Or Bannon destroying the country because he truly wants to see it burn.
They look like they are all related to each other. Truth be told, they prolly are.
ReplyDeleteIn iowa, decades ago, to keep money in the family there used to be a lot of intermarriage, but only between first cousins. Aladamnbama appears to have gotten closer to the family tree-like mother and son or dad and daughter close. IMHO.
People are stupid. I'm about to leave counseling. Currently dealing with a woman who literally got pregnant to lock her man in, and to manipulate his ex-wife who has sole custody of their sons because her husband isn't exactly the pants-wearing type. Some times it's hard to defend women. "Stepmoms" are often the worst: jealous creatures by nature. Too many of them have kids and use them to show her husband's ex, "look, I can have a baby too."
ReplyDeleteI see too much on the job. A half sibling has nothing to do with custody NOR does it change custody. It shouldn't.
Overbreeders are ruining this world, especially those who can't manage to make a relationship work. Lotta fucked up kids running around these days from broken homes.
DeleteWhere and when I grew up people stayed together, sometimes for the children, but they stayed together and gave us great homes and stable lives. This new world is a shit show.
I worked with a student years ago whose mother had 7 kids with 4 different fathers and never married any of them.
DeleteIn one of my 4th grade classes, there were 24 kids. Only 2 of them were living with both parents who were married.
I don't support staying in a bad relationship, especially if it's dangerous, just for the sake of the kids, because it's usually worse than a split family. However, when you ask a student which of the men their mother has lived with is their father and they have to think before answering, THAT'S a problem!
