As it turns out President Obama also demanded a loyalty pledge from US Attorneys.

Courtesy of the Daily Kos:

Trump demanded government employees (appointed or not) give their sole loyalty and service to him. President Obama demanded loyalty and service be given to the American people. There lies the difference between self-serving—and selflessness. There lies the difference between self-importance—and greatness.

Barak Obama is what a real leader looks like, and he is dearly missed.

Oh did I not mention that the loyalty Obama demanded was to the American people and the Constitution?

Because of course it was.

You're not alone. I'm pleased to see that President Obama is still speaking out for fairness, justice and basic human rights. He will continue to be a beacon for good even though he is no longer the occupant of the Oval Office.

Let's hope the scourge that we currently have sitting there will be gone within the coming year.

Maybe the current president should be referred to as "the anti-Obama" because that is all he is: he is obsessed with Obama and trying to get rid of all things Obama, with no thought at all to what might be good or bad about it. And, he is the antithesis of Obama in every respect, with no quality of any sort on his own. So, let's drop his name and just re-name him "anti-Obama".

It is the same loyalty oath that the president takes, to support and defend the Constitution, against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC, to bear true faith and allegiance to the same. You know, the oath that the current president and his congressional enablers shit upon. When a member of Congress calls for a purge of the Justice Department and the FBI, that is an attack on the rule of law, the Constitution. When a "president" claims he has the absolute right to do what he wants with the Justice Department, that is a threat to the Constitution.

Me too! As well as his wonderful wife and First Lady Michelle!

Trump and his bride will never measure up to them as either potus or first lady! They just don't have the capabilities.

I believe that, regardless of who followed him, history would have judged Obama as one of our greatest presidents. However, the contrast between him and the horror that currently occupies the White House only serves to magnify the class, integrity and intelligence that we had in the presidency for the previous 8 years.

While I would have missed President Obama even if Hillary had won, I truly grieve for what our country, and the world, lost last January.
