Democrat on Senate Judiciary Committee says that they have shifted focus off Russia probe to "peripheral issues." Yes, it's about Hillary Clinton.

Courtesy of Business Insider:

Senate Judiciary Committee Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse told the committee's chairman, Sen. Chuck Grassley, in a letter Friday that he does not think the panel is "presently on a path" to help defend against potential Russian interference in the 2018 midterm elections — and beyond.

That is because the committee is elevating "peripheral issues," Whitehouse said, such as Hillary Clinton's relationship with the opposition research firm Fusion GPS. Fusion hired a former British spy during the campaign to investigate President Donald Trump's ties to Russia.

Though Senator Grassley was not names in the article pointed out by Whitehouse, he IS one of the Senators currently calling for a second Special Counsel to investigate Hillary's connection to Fusion GPS and relationship with Russia.

Grassley also called the insinuation by Whitehouse that a Senator had been "nudged" by the White House to be "baseless."

Which is exactly how you would expect somebody who was nudged by the White House to respond.

And of course the House Intelligence Committee, supposedly also investigating the Russian interference, has also wandered way off target:

The House Intelligence Committee has only issued one subpoena to a financial institution in the 11 months since it opened its investigation into Russia's election interference and potential collusion between President Donald Trump's campaign team and Moscow.

The subpoena wasn't to Deutsche Bank — which was fined last year over its involvement in a major Russian money-laundering scheme and has been the Trump family's bank of choice for decades. Rather, the subpoena was delivered to the primary bank for the Washington, DC-based opposition research firm Fusion GPS.

Republican Rep. Devin Nunes, the committee's chairman, stepped aside from the Russia probe in April amid an ethics investigation into whether he'd disclosed classified information in a press conference. But he was cleared earlier this month, and has spearheaded a months-long investigation into who paid Fusion for its work during the 2016 election.

Sounds like the Republicans in Washington are about to go all Benghazi again.

I'll wager Hillary Clinton gives the Republicans the finger from afar every day! I know I do!

JHC! Does Trump still think he is running against her and didn't win the presidency? What a fucking dork!

These committees are a waste of taxpayer money, only the special counsel will be able to indict as i understand.

Nudging, is that what they are calling it,more like obstruction of justice and persecution of political opponent.did this nudging happen after a call from moscow?

Bottom line - everyone is ignoring or getting sick and tired of the rhetoric. Trump and Republicans are a sickening bunch of white humans!

They are on the various modes of media today - showing Republicans elaborating on, complimenting and verbally boosting their leader. It's really a joke to watch and hear!

    Tune them OFF, media outlets!

And Republicans, impeach Trump before you guys (and girls - Murkowski specifically from Alaska!) get your asses kicked out of Congress in the upcoming elections.

Wall Street Journal Killed Editorial on Trump’s Mob Ties

...The Journal editorial page is famously close to Paul Ryan, and generally reflects the priorities and interests of the Republican Party’s ruling money wing. Its complete submission to Trump is perfectly emblematic of the choice the party has made.

It is finished! Roy Moore doesn't have enough votes to trigger a recount against Doug Jones

...The Alabama secretary of state’s office just announced that it has received 5,333 overseas and provision ballots well below the number needed to trigger a recount, let alone overcome the 20,715-vote lead of Democrat Doug Jones. It is now numerically impossible for Moore to win.

Candidates must come within 0.5 percent or less to trigger a recount according to state law, and currently, Jones is ahead of Moore by 1.5 points.

Hoping that the candidate’s Army service would play well with troops stationed overseas, the Moore campaign pinned its fate to military absentee votes. “A lot of votes are in, but they’re not all in yet,” said campaign chairman Bill Armistead. “There’s a law in Alabama that requires a recount if the vote is one half of 1 percent.”

That optimism was swiftly dashed Wednesday when the secretary of state announced that just 4,967 provisional ballots had been received and declared that “no additional ballots are eligible to be received.” Those results could be certified as early as the day after Christmas.

Republicans need to have a boogie man and Hillary is their go to person. Obama used to be it, but Hillary proved to be a much better one. They’ve accused her of murder and running child sex rings. If they thought it would stick, I’m sure they’d accuse her of killing puppies and kittens. Republicans would love to pin something else on her. Hillary’s popularity is still low, and it doesn’t help that some progressives threw her under the bus, too. I don’t expect anything to come out of this. I’m beginning to think Trump is going to skate, too. I’m left hoping he has some sort of medical problem, and I feel dirty for hoping that.

  10. Virginia courts just FUCKED OVER Democrats. The Democrat won by ONE vote and the election was ratified. But the courts overturned it and said it was a "tie" and are now making them draw names from a hat to determine the winner.

What do you wanna bet the Republican "wins?"

Well, there are several other recounts going on so I hope that the Democrats win those and the Republican majority is broken and the Democrats en masse tell the Republicans to KISS THEIR ASS.

    Fuck Virginia.

And FUCK TRUMP AND ALL OF THE REPUBLICANS.

Pieces of shit, all of them.
