With Trump in charge it felt a little touch and go at times.
However I think that 2018 is going to be an awesome year!
While I am not at all sure that Trump will actually get impeached during this year, I am brimming with confidence that the midterms are going to give the Democrats a lot more control and then shit is going to get really real.
My prediction is that in a year's time we will all meet back here and have a much better, and more hopeful story to share about 2018.

ReplyDeleteLast year at this time, Michael Flynn had just had his conversation about the sanctions with Kysliak; Kushner with the Russian banker; Eric Prince was off to the Seychelles for whatever nefarious reason he had.
ReplyDeleteThis year at this time, we know these things, and will be learning more each month, as Robt. Mueller's, the Congress's, and New York State's investigations continue on relentlessly.
By the end of 2018, I believe we'll know most of the pieces of the puzzle, and some of the cast of characters will be awaiting trial.
And one of them may be on house arrest in Trump Tower.

Should that happen, it will imperil anything that Trump wants to get done.
I doubt impeachment will happen unless we can win both the Senate and the House, and even then if we can impeach the Sex Predator in chief, we are left with President Pence
Pence is a radical militant CHristian Dominionist, who in many ways is more dangerous that Trump, because he's a genuine proponent of CHristian Theocracy, and most likely considers the bible as more important than the US Constitution.
I hope we can keep the momentum and outrage alive for November 8th, 2020, because that's when we need to elect a rational human for President who is neither a narcissistic sociopathic traitor like Trump, or a militant Christian Supremaacist
As Trump descends further into mental illness, I am increasingly convinced that Pence - as dangerous as he may be - is still a safer choice. While he may do his best to change our country into a Christian evangelical theocracy, most of what he would try to do could be held in check by the courts and Constitution. Restoring Democratic control of at least one house of Congress could further limit any damage.
DeleteOne thing Pence will NOT do, however, is start nuclear war because someone hurt his tender feelings. Every day that scenario is becoming more of a possibility under Trump.
I am still hoping that Mueller's investigation will penetrate deeply enough into the line of succession that we end up with a temporary president who is sane and not deliberately cruel. Of course, it's truly an outrage that we would have to eliminate several of the top candidates to even meet those humiliatingly low standards.
You can bet "Real" men and especially "Real" Military and Law Enforcement official employees are ready to pounce on this pos asap. Trump is no man of honor. He is a lying weak, wimpy, ugly traitor a puny liddle man of zero class. There are no words left to call him. Except get out you are fired.
