Another White House staffer resigned yesterday over accusations of spousal abuse.

David Sorensen
Courtesy of WaPo:

A White House speechwriter resigned Friday after his former wife claimed that he was violent and emotionally abusive during their turbulent 2½ -year marriage — allegations that he vehemently denied, saying she was the one who victimized him.

The abrupt departure of David Sorensen, a speechwriter who worked under senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, came as The Washington Post was reporting on a story about abuse claims by his ex-wife, Jessica Corbett. Corbett told The Post that she described his behavior to the FBI last fall as the bureau was conducting a background check of Sorensen.

White House officials said they learned of the accusations by Sorensen’s wife Thursday night, before The Post contacted the White House for comment.

“We immediately confronted the staffer, he denied the allegations and he resigned today,” spokesman Raj Shah said in a statement Friday evening.

In a text message to The Post, Sorensen said he stepped down because he “didn’t want the White House to have to deal with this distraction.”

"This distraction" being that he beat his wife?

I swear it is beginning to look as if one of the necessary prerequisites to working in this White House is that you had to have abused a spouse, sexually assaulted somebody, or had inappropriate contact with a child.

That may seem a little tongue in cheek, but it is actually supported by the facts.

Keep in mind that before this guy there was Corey Lewandowski, who was charged with assaulting a female reporter as well as sexual assault.

Steve Bannon, who was once charged with domestic violence by his former wife.

Trump's pick for  Labor Secretary, Andrew Puzder, who also charged with domestic violence.

Rob Porter who had to step down after being accused by both of his ex-wives of being a serial abuser.

And though he was not in the White House, Roy Moore was also a Trump favorite, even though he was credibly accused of sexual assault and of being a pedophile.
Of course perhaps the biggest abuser in the White House inner circle would be Trump himself, who has been accused of various kinds of abuse by no less than 18 women.

So yeah, one has to wonder if there is a box marked "sexual predator" on the White House application form, and if not filled in you might as well look for work elsewhere?

It's not required to be an abuser in this White House but Trump and Republicans consider it to be a bonus.

Why anyone would vote to reelect Trump when that time comes up, is beyond me.

He is an awful human being that has no business in the white house! It's also horrible viewing the people he has hand picked to surround him! Sick, sick, sick!

Now that Sarah is in Denton she can take care of her problem with Sandra Bullock. With Bristol by her side she can do whatever she wants in Texas. They are a popular duo.

Bristol was herself when she was giving Wendy Davis tips on how to be a good parent. Now Bristol is looking for a career, she can go into politics like she once claimed she wanted.

SPEAK OUT BRISTOL. Bristol tells Davis, "you can have a job and kids."

      Sarah,
I mean 1:01 PM, you and Todd would not protect Jordan and your grandson because you are complicit with Track's crimes and you want him to be able to beat them up again. You have no morals and are not one to talk about anyone else. You are the same child, woman, father beater as Track. Change your tune if you want to change the facts.

When you tell Bristol to get back to being Track's cheerleader and baby sitting her girls and Tripp, she will post pictures. Then I will consider he is good enough that his family will allow him to be around kids again.

I notice they are all “resigning” rather they being fired. One has to wonder whether they think it’s better to have these scum resign and the White House appear clueless, than to have the White House fire them after they’re exposed and the WH has no choice but to act. They either didn’t know or they knew all along. Which is more of a P.R disaster?

CNN reported that America Rising would be split into two entities: a super PAC that aimed to spread negative stories about congressional Democratic incumbents and candidates through digital channels and earned media, and an LLC that would house a video library to be shared with GOP candidates, the RNC and other right-leaning groups. To avoid making illegal in-kind corporate contributions, the LLC would likely need to charge candidates for access to the library.[3] Pounder and Miller estimated it would have a budget of between $10 and $15 million for the 2013-2014 election cycle.[4]

Raj Shah, appointed to be White House Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Communications for Research in the Trump Administration in 2017, was also a co-founder of the PAC. He had been deputy research director at the RNC in 2012 and, from there, ultimately became the head of opposition research at the committee for the 2016 campaign. After 2012, he focused specifically on developing deep anti-Hillary Clinton playbooks for America Rising and the RNC."

Apart from the abuse charges and Trump's love of white male criminals...why is the issue about his continued employment of someone without clearance in a position that requires clearance? For more than a year Porter skated. How does that work? I suppose when we scratch the surface we'll find he's a friend of Vlad's.

Trump has a profoundly distorted perception of what it means to be a 'manly man'. Like many men who have low self-esteem, he sees men who are bullies and who have no empathy for others as being good examples of what a man should be.

He has always treated women as property to be used, abused and discarded. He has shown no interest in any of his children until they became old enough to follow in his criminal footsteps. He places no value on anyone who is not white and wealthy, or who cannot benefit him in some way.

Because they comprise so much of his personality, he sees these qualities as being exemplary, and he therefore surrounds himself with others who share those qualities. The only thing he perceives as wrong about this reprehensible behavior is being publicly criticized for doing it because it makes HIM look bad.

"Daniel Derringer III, 29, a resident of Lake Worth, Florida who formerly lived in Union City, was sentenced by Hudson County Superior Court Judge Patrick J. Arre on Friday after pleading guilty to multiple counts of child pornography charges, law enforcement officials said.

Three of the victims were 15 at the time of the offenses, while one was 14 and another 16, authorities said. He will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law and will be subject to parole supervision for life.

"By threatening to expose multiple underage girls to disgrace and embarrassment on the internet, Derringer not only sexually exploited his victims, but also subjected them to incalculable emotional harm,"
"The investigation revealed that Derringer convinced the victim to take off her top and expose her breasts in front of her webcam while he recorded the act. He then got on his own webcam, revealing that he had been lying about his identity, and told her that if she didn't do as he told her, he would post the video on the internet. He then ordered the girl to disrobe and demanded she touch herself,"
"Detectives working with other law enforcement agencies across the country were able to identify four additional victims in Washington State, Florida, Indiana and Ohio who were subsequently interviewed."
"Anyone who has information about the distribution of child pornography on the Internet – or who suspects improper contact by unknown persons communicating with children via the internet or possible exploitation or sexual abuse of children – should contact the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Tipline at 888-648-6007.

    https://www.rawstory.com/2018/02/watch-ex-evangelist-shreds-christians-failed-faith-defending-sex-abusers-trump-white-house/

'“We saw Donald Trump’s defense of Roy Moore. Steve Wynn who has been multiply accused of abuse and sexual harassment, ‘we have to give him a chance,'” Reid began by quoting the president. “What do you make that he’s doubling down on his support for former aide Rob Porter?”

“You know, it’s weird this happens in the very week that he was at a prayer breakfast with a bunch of evangelicals,” Schaeffer replied. “Since Trump has never admitted that he is a serial abuser of women — who, by the way, could not get a security clearance from the FBI if he was hired as a dishwasher in the White House because of his public proclamations and bragging on abuse and brutality toward women.”

“Of course, he’s going to double down because if he doesn’t he’s pointing the finger right at himself and since he is unwilling to repent, he’s unwilling to tell the truth and he is surrounded by sycophant lick-spittle Republicans from Sarah Huckabee on down who have made a profession of defending the indefensible,” he continued. “If there are people in the White House defending those who abused women in a serial molestation, that’s where we are at. That’s who the president is.”

“I want to point something out,” he remarked. “Speaking as someone who knows something about Christianity, if you take the God of the Bible seriously, if God had wanted to send a test to American evangelicals — especially the white evangelical supporters of Trump which would test their faithfulness — nothing could have shown them up to have failed more than this lust for power that goes along with anything.”“Trump the molester and the person who attacks our security agencies and the U.S. Marines — that doesn’t sit well with me,” he lectured. “It’s like something out of the Old Testament where the people of God have been tested to see whether they will bow down before something that is false like the golden calf — and they have failed.”

“Make no mistake about the solid bedrock supporters of molesters, of pedophiles — these sorts of folks have switched sides and they are no longer representing anything that could be called moral by the traditions of any religion,” he warned. “In terms of a Bible prophecy-type story, these folks are now on the side of everyone that ever stood against justice and for evil. And that’s where we’re at.” Testing 1-2-3...

Regarding Trump's shattered lives comment, while it is sad to know there are disgusting people who verbally abuse those who are suffering from something, and that there are people who will never let them move on from any mistakes made why suffering, Trump should remember that no mentally sound person calls another human bad. Most people do believe in healing and being better with every passing day. Most don't judge. The millions of families who have experience with one of their own who suffers have one thing in common. None of them understand how multiple siblings can have the same good childhood and parents, yet one goes astray in adulthood. No one can understand that.

Trump, know many people just want YOU to seek help and heal yourself.

FB>"The Rob Porter wife beating scandal that has the White House under siege is a heat-seeking missile to the heart of many of President Trump's biggest fears and vulnerabilities.
    It reminds everyone that:
    - Mr. Trump too has been credibly accused of assault (by multiple women).
    - there have been several other people close to Trump accused of sexual and physical assault.
    - there are dozens of people working in the White House without full security clearances (including his son in law).
    - a chief of staff who was brought in to create order is now spreading chaos.
    - Mr. Trump's vow to bring in only the "best people" to work with him rings hollow, and the administration is having a tough time finding people to work in the White House.
Meanwhile the incredible cocoon of privilege and ego with which the President envelopes himself blinds him to the sheer horror of his statements in defense of Mr. Porter. He rails against the injustice of these "accusations" (this from a man who accused President Obama of being a foreigner). He talks about how "Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation" but says nothing about the WOMEN victims. What about the lives of these women? Have they not been "shattered and destroyed"? And what about the lives of all of the women (and men) suffering in domestic violence situations?
Mr. Trump once again proves he is indifferent to the fate of anyone other than himself. This is a low for this country that is nothing about politics. We can debate tax cuts and immigration policy and how we fund education. We can disagree about the size of our military or the best balance for protecting the environment. That is democracy.
Debating whether credibly accused wife beaters should be allowed the honor (and that is what it is) to serve in the White House isn't democracy. It's madness - and a moment of sadness for the country."<Dan the Man Rather

Listen up everyone, this sob is even spinning this. Yes men are ruined because they actually committed the crimes!!! BUT!!! Trump hired his mob skanks to go out and set up and stage crimes against innocent men and spin it. There are cases around this country that innocent college professors and professionals that were approached by trump skanks, drugged and set up. It was a coordinated crime.
Trump Woman is at a bar/restaurant casually having dinner. The college professor frequents this place, probably tracked by apple phone, has dinner and drink, she approaches, flirts and follows him home. He was drugged by bartender or her and passes out and her and her set up crew stages a rape, assault and crime. She actually gets smacked in the face by her actual boyfriend, bleeds all over. The innocent man awakes next morning unaware of what happened and is charged with rape, assault etc., Yes that innocent man was set up by a TRUMP SKANK MOB DAUGHTER whore known for being a liar and crook just like shithole trump. The innocent man is charged falsely, extorted for money, sent through the courts to defend himself, pays thousands to attorney to prove innocence. And this is another one of trump ordered crimes to pull off this shitshow. Anything he says is to cover his tracks and crimes. Yes innocent men have been set up by him and his lying skank whores. “They actually honeymooned in Haiti. They witnessed a ritual performed by a Voodoo priest. And there were Haitian symbols, Haitian icons in the White House that the Clintons brought in there,” Fischer said.

The conspiracy website InfoWars also reported on the story. “If I had to live in the same house the Obamas just lived in for 8 years, I think I would want it fumigated too, exorcised, maybe even burnt to the ground,” InfoWars host Owen Shroyer.

Indeed, Messick chose to be silent as she anguished over mistruths being spread about her because, her family said, she did not want to hurt the justice being sought within the #MeToo movement by publicly challenging any alleged victim of Weinstein’s, no matter what."
"Messick’s family also said she suffered as the victim of “our new culture of unlimited information sharing,” “slanderous statements” that “sullied” and left her unable to “set the record straight” as she was wrongly positioned as a kind of anti-feminist predatory villain in league with the disgraced Weinstein. The reality, her family claims, was so far from it—and that disparity ultimately “broke” her spirit."

"What about when there is an endless pile-on of private messages telling you that you are worthless, you are bad, you are garbage, you are irredeemable. Does it get a little bit worse? Does one form of violence (a rape) negate all other forms of violence in a kind of ends-justify-the-means moral compass? That’s a question perhaps more people need to be asking when the ultimate goal is a more peaceful, more just, more humane society that abhors abuse—of any kind."

But as much as we want to hate and rage and blame and villainize and demonize and shame, we can also remember the impulse driving our tendency to do so, which is ironically shared by the target of our rage: humanity."

MotherFUCKer Kevin Swan~son>"“There is an infatuation with the body,", “and, of course, the sexual aspects of the body as well. Some sports encourage immodesty, revealing large portions of the body and this happens in some sports. These are the risky sports. Here they are, what are the risky sports? Gymnastics. Gymnastics and swimming. These are the sports in which there is an added risk.”
“Why are all of the gymnasts [at] more of a risk than other sports?” Swanson asked. “Do you really want your daughters involved in a sport that involves a fair amount of immodesty in which red-blooded American male coaches are interacting with these girls? Or, worse yet, where the infatuation of the body eventually effects the lesbian coaches?”
"“I think it’s going to unfold like the Tea Party, only bigger,” he says. “It’s not Me Too. It’s not just sexual harassment. It’s an anti-patriarchy movement. Time’s up on 10,000 years of recorded history. This is coming. This is real.”

One of Bannon’s acolytes finally locates CNN. “It’s been a rocky year for a lot of the members of the cabinet,”
"“There we go,” Bannon says. “Hate TV.”

Now Melania Trump enters the House chamber, and finds her seat. “She’s wearing suffragette white,” Bannon says. “Suck on that.”

“Time’s up on 10,000 years of recorded history?” — you bet your ass it is.
