Do you want to see a Trump supporter crying his eyes out while being sentenced to prison for terrorizing a black child's birthday party? Of course you do.

Courtesy of Nova Magazine:

Trump supporter has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for making “terroristic threats.” But now Jose Ismael Torres is hoping to get out.

The racist and others associated with a pro-Confederate “Protect the Flag” group were caught on video disrupting a black child’s birthday party in Georgia. The incident occurred shortly after the massacre of nine black churchgoers in Charleston, South Carolina in 2015.

Their taunts led to a confrontation with the family holding the party and Torres was accused of threatening to kill them with a gun.

“Many people tried to make the case about simply flying the Confederate Battle Flag,” Douglas County District Attorney Brian Fortner said in a statement. “This case was about a group of people riding around our community, drinking alcohol, harassing and intimidating our citizens because of the color of their skin.”

Torres was convicted on three counts of aggravated assault, one count of making terrorist threats and one count of violating of Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act in 2017. His girlfriend, Kayla Norton, was also sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Yeah, everybody is super tough when they are driving around in their pickup trucks, waving their Confederate flags around, and threatening children at gunpoint.

But it is a whole different story when they are sitting in a courtroom and being told they will be living in a cage for the next twenty years.

And what is with that young woman saying that what she and her boyfriend did, was "not them?"

Yes, it "was them."

That is why "they" are going to jail.

Donald Trump may be encouraging these people to come out of the shadows, but we still have laws in this country and the shadows are far safer than what awaits them behind bars.

‘News’ Site Run By Nunes Campaign Goes Offline After Report Exposes It

After Politico reported on Sunday morning that Rep. Devin Nunes’ (R-CA) campaign runs its own “news website,” the site went offline, with a message on its Facebook page claiming that the website was the victim of an “attack” on its servers.

“Due to heavy traffic and an attack on our servers, you may encounter an error message when attempting to reach The Republican,” a message on the Facebook page for the “California Republican” read on Sunday evening. “We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Politico reported Sunday morning that a website called the “California Republican,” which was billed as a news website, was paid for by Nunes’ campaign. A line at the bottom of the cached page reads, “Paid for by the Devin Nunes Campaign Committee.”

Headlines from the site shared recently on its Facebook page include “Understanding the process behind #ReleaseTheMemo” and “Sacramento mandates push CA Dairies to pack up milk cartons and shutdown plant.” According to Politico’s review of the website before it went offline, most of the articles on the website pull from conservative and other news outlets.

The website was registered by political consultant Alex Tavlian, according to Politico. Tavlian told Politico that he did not manage the website, however. Nunes’ office refused to comment on the website to Politico until the news organization “retracts its multitude of fake stories on Congressman Nunes.”

not wasting one ounce of pity for those idiots - they deserve every day they get in jail.
I do however have a great deal of respect for the woman who was able to forgive them - not sure I'd be able to forgive someone who threatened my child.

They were found guilty by a jury of their peers and duly sentenced by a judge. Great! (What about the others in the group?)

There's only one problem I see. Those sentenced will probably see this as another example of why they are "downtrodden" by the "lower" races. It will fester in them for the entire time they are incarcerated. I have no problem with that.

However, that may (will, probably) encourage them to take revenge when they are out. Especially when they recognize they are no longer allowed any of their normal rights as US citizens, like purchasing and owning firearms.

The victims of these people need to be watched over and protected from the attackers fellow group members and especially after these two get out.

I just hope this is not a one time event by the courts. If it isn't, then perhaps we can make these fools realize (doubtful, but slightly possible) EVERYONE has to obey the law.

Of course, that lesson may be more profound if we can get the verbal instigators and supports charged and convicted as well.

Who am I speaking of? Humpty Trumpty and his ilk, of course.

What really worries me is the after affects of getting that... thing out of the WH. There will be serious riots. How many will die for the ignorance pushed by him and his haters? And what will Pence do (assuming he doesn't get tossed as well) when that happens? Will he attempt to control them?

And we all know the first thing Pence will do is pardon Humpty Trumpty, who will probably attempt to move back in as President.

Yes, I think he is THAT stupid!

      "Shawn Allen Berry
Shawn Allen Berry (born February 12, 1975) claimed that Brewer and King were entirely responsible for the crime. Brewer, however, testified that Berry had cut Byrd's throat before he was tied to the truck. The jury decided that there was little evidence to support this claim. As a result, Berry was spared the death penalty and was sentenced to life in prison. Berry, TDCJ#00894758, is currently held at the Ramsey Unit in Rosharon, Texas, and his parole eligibility date is June 7, 2038. As of 2003, Berry was in protective custody; he spent 23 hours per day in an 8-by-6-foot (2.4 by 1.8 m) cell, with one hour for exercise. Berry married Christie Marcontell by proxy. Marcontell was Berry's girlfriend at the time of the murder. They have two children together.

      Lawrence Russell Brewer
      Lawrence Russell Brewer
(March 13, 1967 - September 21, 2011) was a white supremacist who, prior to Byrd's murder, had served a prison sentence for drug possession and burglary. He was paroled in 1991. After violating his parole conditions in 1994, Brewer was returned to prison. According to his court testimony, he joined a white supremacist gang with King in prison in order to safeguard himself from other inmates. Brewer and King became friends in the Beto Unit prison. A psychiatrist testified that Brewer did not appear repentant for his crimes. Brewer was ultimately convicted and sentenced to death. Brewer, TDCJ#999327,[21] was on death row at the Polunsky Unit, but was executed in the Huntsville Unit on September 21, 2011. The day before his execution, Brewer expressed no remorse for his crime as he told KHOU 11 News in Houston:
"As far as any regrets, NO, I have NO regrets. NO, I'd do it all over again, to tell you the truth."
      Last meal
Before his execution Brewer ordered a large meal that included two chicken-fried steaks smothered in gravy with sliced onions; a triple-patty bacon cheeseburger; a cheese omelet with ground beef, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and jalapeños; a bowl of fried okra with ketchup; one pound of barbecued meat with half a loaf of white bread; three fully loaded fajitas; a meat-lover’s pizza; one pint of Blue Bell vanilla Ice Cream; a slab of peanut-butter fudge with crushed peanuts; and three root beers. When the meal was presented, he told officials he was not hungry and did not eat any of it, and the meal was discarded, prompting State Senator John Whitmire to ask Texas prison officials to end the 87-year-old tradition of giving special last meals to condemned inmates. The prison agency's executive director responded that the practice had been terminated effective immediately.

      John William King
John William King (born November 3, 1974) was accused of beating Byrd with a bat and then dragging him behind a truck until he died. King had previously claimed that he had been gang-raped in prison by black inmates.[25] As a child he was diagnosed as manic-depressive. He was found guilty and sentenced to death for his role in Byrd's kidnapping and murder. King, TDCJ#999295, remains on death row at the Polunsky Unit."

Three men sentenced to life in prison for 7-year-old’s murder.

MEMPHIS, Ten. — Three men convicted last month in the shooting death of a 7-year-old girl in South Memphis were sentenced Friday to life in prison plus more than 40 years, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.

Criminal Court Judge James Lammey Jr. sentenced Carlos Stokes, 25, to life in prison plus 54 years, calling him the leader in the 2015 murder of Kirsten Williams.

Defendant Jordan Clayton, 24, was sentenced to life plus 46 years, and defendant Branden Brookins, 22, received life plus 44 years. Clayton was a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

All were convicted of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.

Investigators said the child was shot on April 10, 2015, as she played in a front yard in the 2600 block of Durby Circle about eight blocks south of Lamar and Pendleton. The three defendants pulled up in a vehicle and opened fire.

Prosecutors said the address of the shooting was known to the defendants and was specifically targeted by the shooters in retaliation for an earlier shooting. Witnesses quoted Stokes as saying before the shooting, “I want a body for a body.”

'The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce staked out its opposition last week to Prop 1, the bathroom bill initiative on the April 3 ballot.

Prop 1 would regulate who can use public bathrooms and other spaces, like locker rooms, based on a person’s biological sex at birth. It comes after a flurry of other bathroom bills that play off anti-transgender politics. North Carolina headlined the effort to disastrous consequences that Forbes estimated cost the state some $630 million in missed economic activity.

The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, as are most chambers of commerce, tends to lean conservative politically to support pro-business and pro-industry policies, but according to a statement released on Feb. 5 and signed by Chamber President Bruce Bustamante, Prop 1 is not pro-business.

“The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce believes that passing Proposition 1 would be detrimental to business in the city,” the statement said. “Many conferences and potential new business would be lost due to this discriminatory legislation which would convey the message that Anchorage is not a welcoming city. At a time when all businesses are working to stay competitive and keep workers employed, we simply can’t afford such a discriminatory initiative.”

Kati Ward, the head of the campaign against Prop 1, echoed the group’s concerns.

“While they may have a more conservative reputation, I think that at the end of the day it relates back to the economy,” Ward told Alaska Public Media reporter Casey Grove. “And we know that this ballot proposition, like it has done in the Lower 48, isn’t good for communities, for various reasons.”

Leading candidates for mayor, Mayor Ethan Berkowitz and GOP-backed Rebecca Logan, also both oppose the measure.

The election is April 3 and it will be the municipality’s first vote-by-mail election.'

"For two centuries, it has been a totem of America’s gun culture -- a name emblazoned on frontier flintlocks and U.S. Army .45s.

But on Monday Remington Outdoor Co., which traces its history back to 1816, said it would file for bankruptcy protection, succumbing to a slump in business worsened by, of all things, a president who has steadfastly supported Americans’ right to bear arms.

The bankruptcy is a blow to the private-equity mogul Stephen Feinberg, who has been a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump. Feinberg’s firm, Cerberus Capital Management, acquired Remington in 2007 and subsequently saddled it with almost $1 billion in debt. The Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing will let Remington stay in business while it works out a plan to turn around the company and pay its creditors."

I want to say not all families are like you who inherited hundreds of thousands of dollars. All people do not have families either. When I mentioned government loans her kids got for college, the military paid for her son’s education, her social security check (she did not save any of her salary for retirement) and Medicare she became angry with me. She believes in “survival of the fittest, no money you die”.

Because the Constitution, and the Second Amendment, in their view, says that. And so the world that they imagine is one where everyone can have a gun. That's not the world that I think I wanna live in. But that's the world that I think they're tryin' to create.

Whether people like it or not, that world already exists in many parts of the country where people are quite happy with it and so are their representatives in Congress. It's expected that just a handful of votes in the U.S. Senate will decide whether it becomes the law of the land."

"Jeff Sessions, who is named indirectly for Confederate president Jefferson Davis, has some interesting opinions about U.S. history and race. He once implied that monuments to the Confederacy were something all Americans should be proud of; he issued a fond statement about segregationist George Wallace when Wallace died. He’s praised a eugenics-based 1924 immigration law that restricted the entrance of various nonwhite individuals into the U.S. and allegedly once joked affectionately about the KKK. On Monday morning, even, he made a remark about English common law that seemed to suggest sympathy with the ’50s-era “states’ rights” case against the civil rights movement. And other members of the administration Sessions is a part of have, of course, done their part to promote interpretations of history favored by literal white supremacists.

One could thus be forgiven for approaching the news that Sessions had been booked to speak about Abraham Lincoln at an event held by something called the Union League with some trepidation. As it turns out, though, Sessions kept things on the straight and narrow as far as Honest Abe and the Civil War are concerned:

Though many Southerners try to say otherwise—and I love my people—slavery was the cause of the war. It was not states’ rights or tariffs or agrarian versus industrial economies. Those issues were all solvable and would have been solved. The cloud, the stain of human bondage—the buying and selling of human beings—was the unsolvable problem and was omnipresent from the beginning of the country.

There’s surely material in the rest of Sessions’ speech—particularly regarding DACA and “sanctuary cities”—that his critics will find risible. But really, by current standards, it probably counts as a major victory for intellectual responsibility and national self-awareness that the attorney general admitted that slavery was bad. Great job, everyone!

With a little help from Putin of coarse. He is in the shadow of all this aiding our president on how to take it all down so Putin can add us to his countries that he is slowly taking bit by bit as the sheeple graze on propaganda and hate.
