Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Florida school shooting survivor reminds his critics that he and his peers will outlive them.
Courtesy of Share Blue:
“The right is claiming that you are being led around by celebrities, by George Soros, by the left,” host Joy Reid said. “Your response?”
“I’m so sorry for each and every one of them,” Hogg said, before turning to the camera and addressing his attackers directly. “It’s so sad to see how many of you have lost faith in America, because we certainly haven’t, and we’re never going to.”
“You might as well stop now,” he added, “because we’re going to outlive you.”
Damn, that is kinda gangster.
But he's right.
These old white assholes can rant and rail about their gun rights until they are forced to lunge for their oxygen bottle, but when all is said and done they are in the last years of their lives, while these young people are at the very beginning of theirs.
The NRA is going to have a VERY hard time recruiting younger members after they engaged in this smear campaign against these brave millennials, and once their current members die out that will essentially be it.
However the movement started by these young people could grow into an organization which sees stricter gun control laws all across the country, or perhaps even an Australia like solution to our gun problems.

That kid is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe tide is turning.
Hah, sure.
Delete8:30 PM Go somewhere else to jack off, troll.
DeleteWell the problem liberals have, is that when easily manipulated kids grow up, they eventually see what a catastrophic joke liberals are, and end up realizing they are actually conservative, and they never look back.
Delete9:50. Only the conservatives in this country have gone so far that they have become Nazis. How we gonna fix that?
DeleteWell that is simply not true 10:51, yet another over the top dramatization that proves what a joke liberals are.
DeleteLol, nazis.
9:50
DeleteThe problems conservatives have is that their kids grow up and realize they've been indoctrinated and thwarted.
There, fixed it for ya.
Yeah some want to be rebellious for a short while 5:01. Then they turn 25, 30, have kids, responsibilities....
DeleteThat kid is a libtard moron
DeleteThese old nasty white Republican guys are gonna die out and their times cannot come soon enough! They spread hate and fear and the country is going to be so much better w/o their voices.
ReplyDeleteThank God for these young people! This young man is top of the line and the crusty old farts are pure evil!
Paul Ryan can't hold a candle to this GIANT of a young man. Paul Ryan, velcro your penis back on and get out of DC, you're like 46 and completely a spineless waste of space.
Delete#ryanbuhbye
I have always been inspired by those younger than me, because I used to be one of them myself. They are going to move us forward, and I support them 100%. Hear that NRA,GOP, and Confederate trolls?

Governors to Washington: Stop dithering on guns
ReplyDeleteState leaders gathering at the National Governors Association meeting in Washington voiced their frustrations about gun policy with the White House and Congress.
Governors are tired of waiting on Washington for action on gun policy.
State leaders from both parties implored federal lawmakers this weekend to listen to their states’ examples for responsible firearm legislation after the school shooting in Parkland, Fla., increasingly exasperated with the slow pace of debate and halting progress in the nation’s capital.
Democrats and Republicans alike said they planned to force their way in front of both administration officials and legislators as they gather at the National Governors Association meeting in downtown Washington Saturday and Sunday.
Even as the predictable party-line divides over the sensitive issues remained on display, the state executives were unanimous in their boiling frustration that they hadn’t been consulted more on questions of arming teachers, how to handle expanding background checks or imposing age limits on assault weapons.
“Congress needs to act,” said Democratic Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo. “But we’re not going to sit around and wait for them to act. We’re taking action on our own to keep people safe.”
As has quickly become tradition, Republicans in attendance were careful not to swerve too far into President Donald Trump’s lane: few outwardly expressed frustration with the president personally, instead opting to praise him and focus their ire on nameless others in the administration or on Congress as a whole.

As long as there are men who measure their masculinity by the size of their penis, there will always be an NRA.
ReplyDeleteI really don't give a good god damn if they EXIST, as long as they have no POWER.
DeleteAnd that is starting to come about. They are being hit in their wallets by more and more businesses and that's got to hurt.
Also, the anti-gun control politicians are beginning to rethink their idea that the really young don't vote. I believe THIS time they will - in droves. AND, they will take a huge number of more senior adults along with them.
And since it is estimated that 4 million more people will be 18 in November - along with an untold number who are currently 17, but can register to vote if they will be 18 by election day - I personally believe they are screwed.
Watch a history teacher school the NRA about the Second Amendment
ReplyDeletehttps://www.rawstory.com/2018/02/watch-history-teacher-school-nra-second-amendment/
armed militia. right. who going to attack us? Canada? Greenland? Canada is the cleanest, nicest, dorkest country on the planet. we should be so nice. if would be nice nice if they could free us from trump.
DeleteI commend this young man, and of course he had to take his Facebook page down over death threats. It is no different than crap people post here to Gryph. This is what happens when you have no cogent response and sleep with a rifle under your pillow scared of the boogeyman. Any sound in the night, click, upright, "who's that?"
ReplyDeleteOver the top, you bet, but THESE are the people in so much GD fear that they listen to every last thing Trump says and swear by it.
Good LORD the idiocy and paranoia, but it's good money to those promoting it and continue to instill it. Like a bunch of Track Palins, they're everywhere for the harvest and $$.
SAVE us, Lord Jesus! Oh PLEASE read the New Testament.
Sorry, 5:47, but wishing they would read and understand the NT will NOT affect the old white farts currently in control because the OT gives MEN the power and control over their "wimmin" so they can be lord and master.
DeleteI was in the doctors office a couple weeks ago. I sat next to a man in his 80's. Small talk about current events equated to my statement "well, take away the cell phones and watch the millenials kick ass", "they have a zero tolerance for bullshit"!
ReplyDeleteHe agreed they are impatient.
I saw a NPR article about how millenials are like elders when it comes to firearms. Strict.
When I see him, I can reassure him, that he has a crew to help.
I didnt think it would take a school shooting to start it up.
But you just pissed off the wrong generation. I wish I was kidding.
my dad had guns. to the day he died he wanted his guns. he hunted and did the clay pigeon thing. he keep his guns locked up, unloaded, and we were never allowed to touch them unless we wanted to learn how to use him. he installed in his grandkids the same values. i could accept that. but he griped about the NRA all his live. for some reason he joined. discounts? i don't know. listen to your elders. they know more than you think they do. these kids got a head start in life that i would have given my life for them not to know. it's so f......king unfair that these kids are so old before their time. i would anything i could to change that and i can't. this makes me feel so old and useless and i am so afraid for kids in school. sorry for the dump. i finally found the words i needed to say. i'll be hanging the local grade school if you need me, armed with only my voice and the choice i would make.
DeleteI am fifty eight years old, and I say, go ahead. We leave you young people with a mess. Please undo what we did with our politics, and complacency.
ReplyDeleteUs over fifty have waning energy. If it weren't for Viagra, and new medication the old would not have energy period.
So take it young man. May the force be with you.
i.m 58. i collect comic books, colour my hair, and wear clothes way to young for me because i'm NOT old. i don't need viagra-because, hey, i am a woman.(Hugh Jackman has the cutest tush i've ever seen-Chris Heilman(Thor) is to die for and Johnny Depp is to dream about. yes, i know. i spelled Thor's name wrong. i'm 58 not dead. don't think old. play with the daisy's, chase butterflies and smoke all the good weed you can get.
DeleteRemember the Vietnam War era and how the younger generation rose up?It's good to see that in an age of selfies and the Kardashion's there are still smart and motivated young people willing to try to make a change.
ReplyDeleteThis is as American as you can get, you don't back down. It's good to see a resurgence of the very spirit America was founded on.
and to think without trump it never would have happened. i'm being to think trump was voted in for a reason. so we could all hate him and come together and work on this country's problems. Obama was a great president, but somehow he could not unite us like trump has. VOTE.
DeleteSarah's last hope. The old folk are at the end of their run. The other kids are proven useless, too old for a make over.
ReplyDeleteIf Piper doesn't rise to the occasion and face up to their adversaries, they are doomed in the worst possible way.

He will be POTUS in 2036.
ReplyDeleteAt which time Sarah will be 72. And the first thing he will do is loch her up, by Executive Order, in a faraway unmarked underground prison.
lol. okaaaaaaaaaay obsessed nutjob.
Delete9:52. do have any idea how much people on this blog HATE anything palin? white trash reality tv wannabes with their hands out asking you to pay for their lives so they don't have to to soil their dainty little hands with work like us peasants?? $arahs 15 minutes were up a long, long, time ago in a galaxy far, far, away and she dresses like a hooker and screams for attention she and her spoiled stupid kids do not deserve. you get it now??
DeleteYes 10:36, that is the point. It is quite clear that nutjobs like yourself are completely obsessed with the has-been Palin family. A has-been family that the rest of the world has long since moved on from and forgotten. You need help.
Delete10:43
DeleteYou are too stupid to understand that Cristol, McCain, paved the way with Palin for the shit show we are now living.
It really is not that hard to understand.
So, suck it up, we will continue to expose and discuss because WE GET IT.
If you would like to join in the adult conversation, well, you need to think critically like a smart, informed adult.
5:08 go see a head Dr. and get some chill pills lol. Constant unfounded paranoia is no way to live.
DeleteGuns do not protect life.
ReplyDeleteQuite the opposite.
They deny life as it is. They enforce a misunderstanding of life. Jesus lost his life because of this same ignorance. So the "saved" are missing the whole lesson of his death!!
Jesus died for us. they is no way that a gun nut would die for anyone. cowards. they need a gun in their hands because without it they are nothing.
DeleteNo he did not die for us. That is an error.
DeleteHe died because he spoke up for himself. And his story is mythological, not litetal.
The MEANING in the METAPHOR of his death is that of our own nature of spirit within matter, as humans - the story shows a "way" for us to die to our ignorance/blindness that we are all separate, and to be born - to "see" our nature correctly, to "rise out of that living death" rather than having a lame duck life waiting for fictional salvation "elsewhere". Oriental Syudies 101. Not aetheism.
To make it literal is to lose the message.
Please do NOT miss this. Literal = Fundamental = No Transcendence = Error.
We ARE that very transcendence Christians think us "elsewhere". No SAVIOR. That is ignorant to literalize a metaphor!!! Light = Heaven = Here = Now.
We have free will. A saving jesus savior strips us of consequences of free will, and strips us of evolution. So, literally, if jesus is a literal savior, we do not exist and are not even alive. Jesus is a metaphor of what we ALREADY are OURSELVES NOW AND HERE. Not elsewhere, later, and "only through him".
Do you see how systemicly ignorant and programmed this "saving jesus" shit is? It truly is LAZY. See yourself as you REALLY are.
Western minds cannot adjust to this impermanence without effort or curiosity.
And the Jesus pushers push away any natural tendencies of that truth. It keeps us in the dark. Again, take the metaphor of the death and riding out of our ignorance of our own nature.
No wonder they start wars and need their guns to do so.
The SYSTEM is an error if taken literally, which the Christians have done swimmingly with their 2000 year old intentional cult for their control.
Fuck off Nicene Creed, the West's longest standing terrorist document.
Also.
DeleteGarden of Eden is a garden of nonduality.
To emanate into duality of space and time (the eating of the apple) DOES NOT equal "born sinners". The Virgin Birth, correspondingly, has NOTHING to do with biology!!!,It, again, is mythological, and is a LIVING METAPHOR of the birth of spirit into matter. So, we already ARE "saved"!!! The "sin" and "sinner" is what cults say to get you on the train to their punch bowl of control,,and has NOTHING to do with TRUTH, but adopting their forced erroneous cognitions or "beliefs". Beliefs have never had anything to do with anything. Truth has!!!
No to guns!!!
Joseph Campbell said it succinctly:
"When you are made to believe you are a sinner (propaganda), they introduce their savior (cult), because they have something to sell (control)."
Impermanence, I say,,impermanence!!!
OMG there WAS NO Jesus like in the bible. These are made up stories.
DeleteThis young man quite possibly is the return of jesus Christ that the NRA evangelists have been waiting for. And they want him dead. Just like they killed him 2000 yrs ago. They've learned nothing.
ReplyDeletemoney, power, that's their game. they don't like the fact they are losing. if trump had not been elected, none of this would had happened. in a way, trump did some thing President Obama couldn't-he united this country-against trump and the republicans. the woman's movement never would have come together. these kids wouldn't be front page news after two days. i hope trump knows and F&%##%^ing chokes on it!
Deletedamn smart, gutsy kid. how could you like him? it's their world coming up, and they aren't missing a thing. when i was in high school, it was platform shoes and the Bee Gees. these kids, unfortunaly, are living in the real world. you spell it.
ReplyDeleteNew here.
ReplyDeleteSomeone PLEASE get this young man a televised debate with Kellyanne Conway!!!
Please spread this request to all social media and news outlets.
This guy would OWN that dour grey troll bitch out of politics entirely.
With all due respect, 10:44, why?
DeleteShe would NEVER admit a damned thing and certainly won't consider he made a single valid point. She would lie through her teeth and call him a little child then laugh.
Besides, most of the people who aren't slavishly tied to Humpty Trumpty by their umbilical cord won't change their ideas and opinions if JC came down and TOLD them to!
A country built on capitalism was bound to fail.
ReplyDeleteVenezuela and Cuba are doing awesome..................................................not.
DeleteGallows humor, sorry can't help myself. Most will outlive, except for those kids who get shot in the next school shooting....

ReplyDelete"“I mean, this is a different dimension of idiocy that we’re seeing right now on display from people like Dana. There are no words,” Bardella began. “This is someone who clearly frankly has no soul, but is a paid mercenary who is happy to keep cashing a check from the NRA to spread ridiculousness.”
“To make the insinuation that anybody, anyone on this planet enjoys covering these types of terrible events …. I think the real controversy here is that the events keep happening and the message they’ve come up with is we actually need more guns in schools and this will go away,” the AM Joy guest continued. “In fact the kids are coming under fire from the crazy right.”
“What disturbs me the most,” he elaborated, “is when Dana left that conference, she went back to her social circle and she got high-fives from everybody. They’re giving her ‘You did a great job. Way to go.’ Donald Trump probably loved it. He’s probably thinking, ‘I should hire that girl at some some point.’ That’s the biggest toxicity going on, that they’re just talking to one another and fueling this.”"
