Jay Roach the man who directed HBO's "Game Change" is also set to direct the television adaption of Michael Wolff's book "Fire and Fury."

While Game Change director Jay Roach may no longer be working on that HBO movie about the 2016 election, he’s sticking to the Trump beat for his next project. Roach has been tapped to direct and executive produce the television adaptation of Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, EW has learned.

Roach’s past dealings with politically charged dramatizations paid off with Emmy after Emmy after Emmy. He has four in total — two for HBO’s Recount (about the recounts in Florida after the 2000 presidential election) and two for Game Change (about John McCain and running mate Sarah Palin). Roach also earned two Emmy nominations for his Lyndon B. Johnson biopic, All the Way.

Based on the track record, might he have another potential awards contender with Fire and Fury?

Okay well I'm certainly loving this, Roach did a great job with Game Change.

But I bet there is somebody who is spitting nails over this news.

Yep, that's her.

Game Change was fantatic. And even though I already KNEW the outcome; KNEW we lost...well, right up to the end, that movie had me hoping that somehow the outcome would be different. ...Sigh...

Like the stage with Sarah Palin wanting to give her own concession speech collapsing and killing the entire Palin family? And a third of the McCains?

    3. Wish it would have ended with McCain's apology for foisting Palin on the nation.

      Still waiting for that one.

Alaskans knew that Game Change was a true and accurate depiction of Sarah Palin - much to her chagrin! The book was a beat seller and one I devoured. Palin's never been the same since!!! (i.e. a mental case, liar and fraud - much like her buddy, Trump!)

What's making me smile is that Mark Halperin has disappeared without a trace. I never finished Fire and Fury but I think it will make great television.

Russian Roulette is what's keeping my attention and then Comey's book will drop... it's funny imagining Trump's poorly-educated having to read all these real books by real people because they themselves are concerned about WTF will happen next- I don't believe even they will be able to sit tight and wait for the telemovie or mini series.

    3. They won't read. They can decode well enough but they need the Fox Faux to tell them what they read and what it means. They can't tell whether the reporting is accurate or not. So when they're told fake news and be angry, they are.

      Just pitiful.

The post is 100% relevant. The poster at 1:45 PM is not.

Theodore Malloch, the author of a forthcoming pro-Trump book and an ally of Nigel Farage, a former leader of Britain’s UK Independence Party, said in a statement emailed to Reuters on Friday by the book’s publisher that he was questioned by FBI agents when he landed at Boston’s Logan International Airport on Tuesday after a flight from London and served with a subpoena to appear before the grand jury.

Malloch “is scheduled to testify in Washington D.C. on April 13th under Robert Mueller’s Grand Jury investigation,” Hector Carosso, a representative of Skyhorse Publishing, said in a separate email.

Malloch’s book, “The Plot to Destroy Trump: How the Deep State Fabricated the Russian Dossier to Subvert the President,” is scheduled for publication on May 1.

Mueller is investigating possible illegal coordination between Trump and his 2016 campaign and Russia. Trump and Russia have denied any collusion. The FBI and Mueller’s team had no comment on Malloch or events at the airport in Boston.

Malloch said in his email that the FBI presented him with a document authorizing the agents to seize his cellphone. He said he handed it over and later was told the FBI had to send it to Washington for a “full assessment.”

He also said the FBI questioned him for about an hour about his career, government security clearances, and academic credentials. He said the agents then asked him about his role in the Trump campaign, which he said was informal and unpaid.

He said they also questioned him about his contacts with Trump supporter and political consultant Roger Stone, the WikiLeaks website and Jerome Corsi, a contributor to conspiracy theory websites.

125, I, too, wanted the outcome different, like if Steve and, what is her name? could have opened up with the full truth. Like they only told part of the story and now look what happened? They could have saved us from this horrible treasonous time with Spanky and his gang.

Ratings, polls, likes, votes matter to Trump. If the new film is a success he will take the credit.

What I do care about is Roseanne thinks she is entitled to spread the nasty rumor about the Parkland Student Hogg and the Nazi salute.

She has no sense of civility and she is an adult bullying a teenage.

Never liked either of her loudmouth characters, the real one or the TV one. If you go back to when she first became nationally famous you'll see she made the most insane claims, such that she couldn't possibly not have been suffering a mental illness. I can see why she and Trump have always liked each other, neither has a grip on reality.

If I want to see ugly people abusing each other in the guise of entertainment, I'll stick to The Simpsons- at least they have Lisa.

They and even the book were much kinder to Sarah Palin than she deserved, and I'm sure that that was because both campaigns struggled to accept and believe the depth of her ignorance.

But it was a great campaign, full of thrills for us and spills for Sarah. Her mental and verbal pratfalls, the discovery of her greed with OPM (silk boxer shorts, anyone?), the Wooten scandal, her idiot daughter unable to keep her legs together... it was one scandal after another, there'll never be another campaign like it.

But at least Sarah is still providing laughs for the rest of the world, with her family brawls and her violent brats randomly mating in the bushes and slowly breeding Alaska out of existence..
