Stormy Daniels is now suing Donald Trump's lawyer for defamation of character.

Courtesy of WaPo:

Stormy Daniels ramped up her legal battle against President Trump on Monday, alleging in court that his personal attorney Michael Cohen defamed her by insinuating that she lied about an affair with Trump more than a decade ago.

Daniels amended her existing lawsuit against Trump, adding Cohen as a defendant in the pending case. The expansion of the lawsuit in a California federal court comes one day after the adult-film actress’s widely watched interview on “60 Minutes.”

Now this is very problematic because Trump is also being sued by alleged sexual harassment victim Summer Zervos for defamation of character as well.

That would be two different women, with two entirely different experiences, suing Trump, or a Trump lawyer, for defaming them.

And at this point I should add, so far.

Now interestingly enough Michael Cohen's lawyer sent off a cease and desist order last night essentially accusing Daniels of defaming HIM by suggesting that he sent the thug that threatened her back in 2011.
The problem is that she never made any such allegation.

As proven by a transcript written by Think Progress:

Stormy Daniels: I was in a parking lot, going to a fitness class with my infant daughter. T– taking, you know, the seats facing backwards in the backseat, diaper bag, you know, gettin’ all the stuff out. And a guy walked up on me and said to me, “Leave Trump alone. Forget the story.” And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, “That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.” And then he was gone.

Anderson Cooper: You took it as a direct threat?

Stormy Daniels: Absolutely.

Stormy Daniels: I was rattled. I remember going into the workout class. And my hands are shaking so much, I was afraid I was gonna– drop her.

Anderson Cooper: Did you ever see that person again?

Stormy Daniels: No. But I– if I did, I would know it right away.

Anderson Cooper: You’d be able to– you’d be able to recognize that person?

Stormy Daniels: 100%. Even now, all these years later. If he walked in this door right now, I would instantly know.

At no point in her answers to Anderson Cooper does Stormy Daniels suggest that the thug was sent by Cohen.

The attorney for Stormy Daniels also responded with this to questions about whether threats are still being directed at his client:

"Absolutely. She receives threats on a near-hourly basis. Now, we don't have anything tying those to Mr. Cohen or Mr. Trump, to be clear, but she's certainly scared for her safety and the safety of her family."

You know it seems more and more like this attorney for Stormy Daniels just casually sets up a tripwire for Donald Trump and his attorneys, and they clumsily stumble into it every time.

There are a lot of trolls out there working overtime to convince us that this is a nothing burger, and that it will have no impact on Donald Trump whatsoever, but I disagree.

In fact this story seems to be metastasizing. and public interest remains high.

In fact the Stormy Daniels 60 Minutes interview brought in the show's highest ratings in nearly a decade.

And things may continue to ramp up from here. According to one of Daniels' best friends, there is a dress:

During a much longer interview with CNN's Jim Sciutto, Stormy's friend Alana Evans told him she was unaware of any texts, pictures or video but there was one thing. One little thing.

"All I know is that Stormy still has the dress that she wore from that night," Evans told Sciutto

They may come to this story for the sex, but they leave recognizing that the guy in the White House is vulnerable to blackmail, and is almost certainly compromised by foreign agents.

Wait till the impeachment hearings begin or the arrest happenings. It is important to televise the crimes of Donald trump and the entire republican party. Sweep them into the dustbin of history on live television. They deserve that, they own that, they built that, they committed treason against America and Americans.

I didn't watch Trumps inauguration as I was doing my part to keep the ratings low. I did watch last night, because you know ratings. I've rarely watched since Andy Rooney was on.

The Rump is backed into a corner of his own making. All he had to do was say, yeah, I fucked her. And her. and her. and her. Unless teh women were screaming rape (oops, some are, or at least unwanted physical assault) then SO WHAT? I mean that's what we said during CLinton. So what. Two adults had sex. He owes his wife and family an apology. That's it. Let's be like the French - if the Prez goes to a brothel, just get the address, it must be a good one with that recommendation.

But The RUmp needs (desperately) that evangelical, Talibangelical vote. So he has to deny and pay hush money. It CAN'T have happened if he wants to survive.

Not what he did, but the hypocrisy and the cover up that will bring him down.

Funny that you mention Palin because Stormy said that she is a Sarah fan and modeled her nascent political career after that of Sarah Palin. She also voted for Trump, so regardless of the left now treating her like some sort of hero she's a right winger through and through.

I didn't know about Stormy and Sarah. Now I think about it, Todd is in the sex business. They do have a lot they can share. Stormy appears smarter and more genuine.

Hopefully, her kids won't grow up like Sarah's. When will the news media be covering Track's court appearances? I thought it was about now. More postponements?

'Stormy Daniels, the porn star who is mulling a Senate run in Louisiana against Sen. David Vitter, wants to get together with Sarah Palin.

“As a woman who is often criticized and dismissed by the media, I obviously can relate to Governor Palin on many levels,” Daniels said in a statement. “Given this, I am very interested to hear what she has to say about the challenges women like ourselves who are not afraid to display our sexuality face when it comes to being taken seriously as leaders.”

Also, she hopes for a sit-down with Palin in August. “I am planning to hold to my timetable of making an official announcement at the end of the summer," she said. "So it is my hope that Governor Palin and I can have a chance to sit down sometime in August.”

She adds: "People tend to try and trivialize values issues as somehow not as important as other issues,” Daniels said. “But if our values are not backed by the responsibility to make the tough choices and to understand the consequences of our actions then we are doomed to failure as a society."

It's “only through the exercise of personal responsibility can we prevent government from impinging on our rights and intruding in our lives,” Daniels said. “I am looking forward to taking the opportunity to discuss with Governor Palin --as one strong woman to another -- how we can best restore responsibility to our families and to our nation.”

No word from the Palin camp if Palin has accepted -- or plans to accept -- or not.

(Also, did you know that Daniels regularly describes herself as "pro-condom"?)'
"\'e mother of Stormy Daniels, a porn star in the center of a controversy roiling President Donald Trump's second year in office, said she is a staunch supporter of the President. "If Mr. Trump runs four more times, I would vote for him every time,"

The biggest loser in this entire debacle is Cohen because he's most likely being disbarred and possibly even worse consequences are to come.

The porn star/POTUS circus is a whole lot of fun to watch but I really am looking forward to more substantial info on the mobster Trump and his financial malfeasance from Mueller in May.

I love the fact that Daniels, a woman who fucks for a living, really didn't want to fuck Trump but said basically, "meh, it's easier to just fuck him and walk the hell out of here than not to".

That pleases me to no end that a woman whose job if fucking guys (girls, horses, fish, whatever comes her way :-)
    found this asshole basically unfuckable.

Me, too! It also further degrades Melania for staying with and defending him. "You can't say that about a first lady!" Oh YES I CAN. No wife would put up with that for one second unless she was in it for $$ and the prestige.

Stormy Daniels is a whore? Melania is no different. In my book, worse.

I am horrified that there are women who allow a child to grow up with a man like Trump living in the same quarters as a father like Trump. His diet alone is reason enough to keep a child as far from the orange toxin as possible.
I think Melania is one of the worst mother's known in the public domain.

The sex parts are sometimes hilarious. It couldn't happen to a more deserving person to have a husband that is such a clown and willing to public humiliate his wife. His behavior with Ivanka was enough but he couldn't stop there.

  10. I am not a porn watcher, but I might make an exception just to see if she's as...this sounds so dumb...entertaining in her adult films as she was on 60 Minutes. I found her charming, candid and refreshing. And, no, I probably won't watch a porn flick...just enjoy every interview, revelation and (maybe) court testimony that comes from her.

    http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/380382-two-more-attorneys-turn-down-offer-to-represent-trump

"“However they consider the opportunity to represent the President to be the highest honor and they sincerely regret that they cannot do so,” Buchanan and Webb said in a statement." "Former U.S. Solicitor General Theodore Olson and Washington, D.C.-based lawyer Joseph diGenova both rejected reported job offers to join Trump's legal team.

DiGenova had been hired, but ultimately turned down the offer, citing "conflicts."

Another of Trump's attorneys, John Dowd, abruptly resigned last week.

The changes come as the president seeks to shake up his legal team amid frustrations within the White House over special counsel Robert Mueller's probe, which has cast a cloud over the administration for more than a year now.'

    L.O.
'O’Donnell said, “Stormy Daniels really hurt President Trump badly last night and she hurt him in the worst way, the way it pains him the most, no it was not when she said she was not physically attracted to Donald Trump, or described how spanking Donald Trump and like a little boy became more compliant after the spanking. That wasn’t the worst part last night. The worst part for the president was that, as Rachel just said, Stormy Daniels got a great rating and she actually beat Donald Trump. She beat him in the ratings. 22 million people watched Stormy Daniels on 60 Minutes last night and that’s more than the 20 million that watched Donald Trump on 60 Minutes after he won the presidency. He already suffered the pain of getting a smaller audience as president-elect than President Obama did, he got 25 million people to tune in on his appearance. Stormy Daniels beat Donald Trump again today. She beat him in a new poll that shows 62% believe Stormy Daniels and 21% believe the president of the United States. The poll actually included more than just Stormy Daniels versus Donald Trump. It combined stormy Daniels with former Playboy model Karen Mcdougal in a question about do you believe the women or do you believe the president of the United States? And so the team of Stormy Daniels and Karen Mcdougal beat Donald Trump 62 to 21. And today, Stormy Daniels’s lawyer, Michael Avenatti who will join us in a moment amended her lawsuit to include defamation against Donald Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen. Donald Trump is still maintaining his terrified silence about Stormy Daniels. He has never directly personally denied having a sexual relationship with Stormy Daniels.”'

I was amused by imagining the conversation Victoria T and Joe DiGenova had with Trump. She is a unique creature whom I remember well from the Clinton follies: she's Wolverine with a better manicure, in my opinion. I doubt "disheveled" was their issue, I bet she snidely quipped something about, he wouldn't have this Stormy trouble if he'd kept it in his pants. I'm pretty sure she's entirely capable of something really catty and you know Trump can't possibly tolerate some unfuckable old harpy saying anything at all to him. No wonder the chemistry wasn't right.
