Let's revisit this whole Sean Hannity is Michael's Cohen's secret client debacle.

Okay the above is video of Hannity essentially freaking out after the FBI raided Michael Cohen's office and homes.

At the time it seemed a little weird, but now it sort of makes a certain kind of sense.

Here is how CNN's Brian Stelter addressed this issue:

Something isn't adding up in the case of Michael Cohen and Sean Hannity.

For now Hannity's employer, Fox News, isn't commenting on the issue, but even some fellow Fox hosts are raising questions.

There were audible gasps in court on Monday when it was revealed that Hannity was the mystery third client that Cohen was trying to keep secret. Stormy Daniels' attorney Michael Avenatti, who was in the room, said it was like "a bomb went off."

Hannity scrambled to respond -- first on his radio show, then with tweets, then on his TV show. On Monday evening, Hannity downplayed the legal relationship, saying, "Cohen never represented me in any legal matter."

He said the two men chatted occasionally, and his questions "focused almost exclusively" on real estate.

Hannity said "I never retained his services, I never received an invoice. I never paid Michael Cohen for legal fees."

But if that's true, why did Cohen's lawyer identify Hannity as a client in federal court?

On his radio show Hannity downplayed the crap out of this, suggesting that he might have handed Cohen ten bucks for shits and giggles, but that he was never an actual client.

But here's the thing, Cohen's attorney identified Hannity as a client while in a courtroom standing before a judge. where lying is a punishable offense.

Hannity denied the whole thing on this radio show and on Fox News, where lying is a way of life.

And if Hannity used the services of Michael Cohen, "The Fixer," what did he need them for?

This might be a clue:

Sean Hannity is the latest Fox News personality facing allegations of inappropriate behavior after he was accused of propositioning a guest on his show.

This article came out almost exactly a year ago during the same time that Bill O'Reilly was facing scrutiny for paying off women who accused him of sexual misconduct.

In Hannity's case the allegations seemed to simply fade away.

And making THAT happen is Michael Cohen's specialty.

Right now there is no evidence that this is the reason that Hannity was named as a Cohen client, but there was certainly SOME reason that they both did not want his name identified in court.

Here was the Daily Show's take yesterday:
So much truth in comedy.

What's funny about the right is that they can bullshit up to their necks and they still defend themselves as truthtellers. They've been bullshitting for so long they forgot truth.
Then truth hits them in the face like the exposure of Sean Hannity who was scampering like the rat he is to hide his identity from his own hypocrisy. Wow. Just wow!

And here all this time I thought Hannity's defense of Melania when Kimmell made fun of her reading to a bunch of kids was patriotic. Patriotic my ass. Patriotic towards a Russian sparrow more like.
Hannity, like Trump is somehow tied into the whole Russian scandal thing. Don't know how, and don't know if it will ever come to light. I feel like the whole Faux news is a Russian tool.
God alive! We have been so swamped with Russian coverts thanks to Trump and his complicit soul. Now, the Russians are like bed bugs and lice, and we will have a damned hard time getting rid of their asses.

Hannity isn't for life on FOX! He's way over weight these days (has ballooned up considerably of late!) and is now under a huge amount of stress.

Perhaps, he's another one of those male, white Republicans that will keel over from a major stroke or heart attack?

Having never watched him, I most certainly won't be one that will miss him.

It's being reported that Glenn Beck is in big financial trouble. It was reported today that he is selling his personal jet.

Love seeing these jerks shed their positions in our social media! Waiting for the time Hannity does too, which I think will occur. He's a lying sack of caca!

I've never watched FOX News and never will. Easy as can be - just don't turn the dial to reflect their channel.

You can read enough on line about what they are doing and saying. No needs to increase their ratings, that only come from the extreme right when you think about it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Anonymous10:28 AM

Well, Hannity is able to deflect pretty easily. "He never represented me"-- (left unsaid: never represented me in court). "I never paid any invoice or legal fees"-- I'm sure that was done by an LLC or some other check that doesn't have Hannity's name on the cover. "Almost exclusively about real estate"-- but not exclusively, ALMOST exclusively. So what else did they talk about?
And that's how the right (and Donald trump) lie without "really" lying.

But, remember - those on the right also have the same issues.

What a terrible state our country is in right now. It's way past time to get Trump and his group out of office. Vote well in 2018 and 2020, America. That is how we rid ourselves of their sorry souls.

"Fake news is a problem that “Get Out” writer/director Jordan Peele in collaboration with BuzzFeed hopes to fix ― by literally putting words in the mouth of former President Barack Obama.

In a public service announcement created by Peele and BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti and disseminated on social media on Tuesday, Obama appears to be giving a sincere but stern address.

“We’re entering an era in which our enemies can make it look like anyone is saying anything at any point in time — even if they would never say those things,” says “Obama.”

“So, for instance, they could have me say things like, I don’t know, [Black Panther’s] Killmonger was right! Or, Ben Carson is in the sunken place! Or, how ’bout this: Simply, President Trump is a total and complete dipshit.”"

"On May 25, 2017, KFAQ, a radio station based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, received a cease-and-desist letter signed by two lawyers for Hannity: Victoria Toensing and Jay Alan Sekulow. Toensing’s signature sits above her name and that of her husband Joseph E. diGenova, the members of diGenova and Toensing LLP, who are identified as “Counsel for Sean Hannity,” according to a copy of the letter obtained by The Atlantic. Sekulow is also identified in the letter page as a “Counsel for Sean Hannity.”

Sekulow is now the only known personal attorney for President Trump working full-time on the response to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s inquiry. "
" an appearance on the Pat Campbell show on KFAQ last April, Schlussel said Hannity had been “creepy” towards her and had invited her to his hotel room.

Hannity responded at the time by calling the allegations “100 percent false and a complete fabrication,” and said that he had hired lawyers to plan a response. “This letter provides notice that Ms. Schlussel’s statements are false and defamatory,” the letter read. “Continued publication will result in further exposure to liability because of continued harm to Mr. Hannity’s impeccable reputation.”"
“However, those conflicts do not prevent them from assisting the President in other legal matters. The President lOOk$ forward to working with them.”

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/fox-news-apos-judicial-analyst-033610171.html

"Fox News host Sean Hannity’s legal claim is getting torn to pieces on his own network.

On Monday, Hannity was revealed as the “mystery client” of Michael Cohen, the personal attorney to President Donald Trump who is now embroiled in a federal investigation.

Hannity claimed he never hired Cohen but also insisted he had a right to privacy in his conversations with him under attorney-client privilege.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano, a former judge, isn’t buying it."

"“If he was a client, then his confidential communications to Mr. Cohen are privileged. If Mr. Cohen was never his lawyer, then nothing that he said to Mr. Cohen is privileged.”"

    (That's what *I* said.)

"“I must tell you that that is a myth,” Napolitano said. “The attorney-client privilege requires a formal relationship reduced to writing for a specific legal purpose,”

“So anything that is there regarding Sean Hannity can be revealed?” Faulkner asked.

“In my view, yes,” Napolitano said."

I hope Stormy's lawyer is correct and Cohen flips within six months. We should really get a betting pool going.
