This almost got lost in all of the recent news lately, but yet another Republican is jumping ship.

Charlie Dent was actually one of the least odious Republicans, I think they called him a moderate or something like that.

Which I think in conservative circles means he was not one who masturbated with his gun while staring at a picture of Ronald Reagan.

However he was a Republican so he has gotta go.

And now there is one more opportunity for Dems to pick up yet another House seat.

Looking good for 2018 my friends.

Would be nice if the less crazy Republicans would stay and the rest would leave.

OT: Yeah, *they* are waking up and smelling the covfefe, but Trumplethinskin thinks *he* can still run things from his gut...as usual (I've stated this before). It's a recipe for disaster! They prepped this meeting and he's gonna so screw it up (as usual) 'cause 'only he can fix it'! And he's gotta throw away the script and ad lib it! We are so fucked!

'Trump doesn’t have a plan for meeting Kim Jong-un: ‘Just get me in the room with the guy and I’ll figure it out’ (Raw Story Article)

'President Donald Trump intends to wing it when he meets with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, according to associates.

Sources close the president say Trump genuinely believes he — and he alone — can solve the geopolitical disaster on the Korean Peninsula, although he intends to figure out just how he’ll do that on the fly, reported Axios.

“He thinks, ‘Just get me in the room with the guy and I’ll figure it out,’” said one source who has discussed North Korea with Trump.

Trump’s aides are a bit less confident a political solution can be improvised during the planned summit, and some believe the meeting with Kim Jong-un is doomed to failure...'

Should we check to see what sort of golden parachute he has lined up?

When I saw this on the news I wondered if he knows that something big is going to happen and he wants to get the hell out before hand.

He had already announced that he wasn't going to run for reelection, now he is leaving before his term is up, leaving folks without representation.

So what is the big rush, why not finish out his term?

Yeah, what IS the big rush? I think the people of his district deserve to know why he won’t be in congress to represent them.

    666pence "The Real Mike Pence,"
    “Now as vice president, he poses one of the greatest threats to equality in the history of our movement. With the world distracted by Donald Trump’s scandal-ridden White House, Mike Pence’s nefarious agenda has been allowed to fly under the radar for too long," Griffin continued. "He has become not only the most POWERful vice president in American history, but also the least scrutinized.” {really?FUKUdickCHENEY}

"March 1989 - President George H.W. Bush nominates Cheney for secretary of defense after John Tower's nomination for the position fails to win Senate confirmation.
1989-1993 - Serves as secretary of defense. He directs two military campaigns during this time: Operation Just Cause in Panama and Operation Desert Storm in the Middle East.
July 3, 1991 - Awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bush for his leadership during the Gulf War.
March 1992 - Cheney and other current and former Congressmen are named in a scandal involving overdrafts at the House bank. Cheney later acknowledges the overdrafts. The House ethics committee, formerly the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, offers recommendations that stop short of a formal inquiry. The lawsuit is later dismissed."

Bush, as CIA Director, listens at a meeting following the assassinations in Beirut of Francis E. Meloy Jr. and Robert O. Waring, 1976.
In 1976 Ford brought Bush back to Washington to become Director of Central Intelligence (DCI), replacing William Colby. He served in this role for 357 days, from January 30, 1976, to January 20, 1977.[39] The CIA had been rocked by a series of revelations, including those based on investigations by the Church Committee regarding illegal and unauthorized activities by the CIA, and Bush was credited with helping to restore the agency's morale. In his capacity as DCI, Bush gave national security briefings to Jimmy Carter both as a presidential candidate and as president-elect, and discussed the possibility of remaining in that position in a Carter administration, but did not do so. He was succeeded by Deputy Director of Central Intelligence E. Henry Knoche, who served as acting Director of Central Intelligence until Stansfield Turner was confirmed."

"Foreign leaders are ignoring the little boy who thinks of himself as the Teflon Don (just like John Gotti), the man who runs government like a mob boss only without the honor and without putting his own people first. No, Trump is the mob boss who steals from his own supporters to gild his own toilet and then tells them they are happy about it, as he has done to farmers over his self-imposed, head-banging error on trade."
