A pregnant mother of two is in critical condition after she was shot by her 3-year-old daughter, who picked up her father’s gun inside her car.
The mother, 21-year-old Shaneque Thomas, was parked outside a Plato’s Closet thrift store in Merrillville, Indiana when she was shot from behind by her young daughter.
Police said the father, Menzo Brazier, left the legal but loaded 9mm handgun between the console and the front passenger seat after he left the vehicle to go inside the store, reported WMAQ-TV.
The child is then said to have climbed over from the backseat and reached to pick up the gun before accidentally firing, hitting her mother though the upper right part of her torso.
It's a good damn thing that bullet did not hit the fetus, because that is the only thing that would convince the Republicans to do something about gun violence in this country.
Men, women, and children can die by the truckloads and the Republicans could not, and do not, care one little bit.
But abortion, even bullet abortion, is one thing they simply could not handle.
Of course their solution would almost certainly involve some kind of maternity size bullet proof tummy shield, but at least they would have to weigh in.
The 2nd Amendment, causing death and mayhem for over two hundred years.
Just reread this. Not only did he leave a loaded gun in the car, but the child must have been loose in the backseat. A child in a car seat would not have been able to 'reach over' to the console and lift a heavy gun. So these two are really special parents.

ReplyDeleteSome news program went to a gun safety lesson and dad went on and on about he wanted his 9 yr old to shoot guns, they asked the kid what he just learned and he didn't remember anything, of course because a kids brain is not mature enough to process all that info.

Well the faerie tale started with the news media saying the ranch was within Waco city limits, it wasn't. It was in Crawford Tx home of GWB's non running ranch where he could take photo ops cutting brush( on a side note Laura has actually turned it into a tree farm). But since the WH and the Bush family didn't want the Branch Davidian child molesting cult tied to Crawford they told the news media to play nice and pretend it was actually Waco.

how often has this happened? i can think of 3 other very young children who shot other people with daddies gun? common sense, if you are going to have a hand gun, don't leave it where kids can find it. don't keep it loaded, if you are using it for home"security", put it out of the kids reach and never let your child see where you keep it. best, don't let the kids know you have one. better yet, don't have one.
