George Clooney and his wife pledge 1 million dollars to fight Right Wing extremism in America.

George and Amal Clooney have announced a partnership with the Southern Poverty Law Center to combat “bigotry and hate” in the wake of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. 

The Clooney Foundation for Justice says that it will bestow a grant of $1m to the SPLC in order to assist the civil rights organization in its attempts to combat violent extremism in the US, following the death of counter-protester Heather Heyer at a white supremacist rally in the campus city earlier this month. 

“Amal and I wanted to add our voice (and financial assistance) to the ongoing fight for equality,” George Clooney said. “There are no two sides to bigotry and hate.” 

“We are proud to support the Southern Poverty Law Center in its efforts to prevent violent extremism in the United States,” the pair added in a statement. “What happened in Charlottesville, and what is happening in communities across our country, demands our collective engagement to stand up to hate.”

Keep in mind that most terrorist attacks in this country are perpetrated by Right Wing extremists.

 And since Trump and his cohorts don't seem to believe that terrorism exists unless it is perpetrated by an Islamic person with brown skin I guess that leaves it up to private citizens and liberal Hollywood activists to do the heavy lifting.

Celebrity gossip site claims that Bristol Palin is worth a million dollars. You don't say?

Bristol Palin is a well known TV personality and speaker. What is more, Palin has written memoir, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey so Far, which became a bestseller. One of her main activities is being the spokesperson for teen pregnancy prevention, she is a part of The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy and is a Teen Pregnancy Prevention Ambassador. Although Bristol received a lot of criticism as she herself was a teen mother, Palin is still a very active speaker. How rich is Bristol Palin? It has been made (in) a statement that Bristol’s net worth is 1 million dollars. 

Now Richest News does not cite it's sources for determining how much the Mama Grizzly cub is worth, but there are other sources on the internet making the same claims.

I find this somewhat interesting as I have heard that Bristol often pleads poverty and tries to get Levi to fork over money for Tripp's medical checkups and schooling, And this is on top of the many thousands too much he is paying her in child support.

Hmm, I wonder what the Johnstons will do with this when they finally get to court in September?

1 million of us moved our money and sent the banks a seemingly impossible to ignore message. But will they listen?

As "Move Your Money" caught on like wildfire, even the mainstream media got in on the story. ABC News called it a "Lightning bolt warning" to the "Goliath banks", and reports that 1 million customers have actually moved their money. 

Credit unions saw $4.5 billion in new deposits in October according to the report, and a Seattle business owner reports that he's taking four of his businesses and $3 million in business away from Chase and Bank of America. 

So have the banks learned their lesson, and will now stop gouging their customers at every opportunity? Don't be so naive.  

And of course, ABC notes, the banks say that they're going to have to recoup the losses from the customers who have left--with more fees. 

Not much of a surprise really, if there are fewer people left to gouge, than just gouge the ones that are left a little deeper.
