While in Jerusalem Mike Pence calls Stormy Daniels allegations "baseless," and then goes on to defend Trump's "shithole" comments.

Vice President Mike Pence says reports that an adult film star had an alleged affair with President Trump are "baseless allegations."

Pence spoke to The Associated Press during a visit to Jerusalem on Monday. He said he was "not going to comment on the latest baseless allegations against the president."

Okay, has Mike Pence read the In Touch article yet?

I'm sorry what was I thinking? Has Mike Pence's wife read him the In Touch article while Pence gripped a Bible and muttered "Away with thee Satan" over and over again, yet?

And does he also know that Trump's attorney opened an LLC specifically to funnel money to Daniels in order to buy her silence right before the election?

Because once you know all that, it makes it VERY hard to call these allegations "baseless."

There are enough facts available for a watchdog group to feel they have sufficient evidence to launch a complaint with the federal elections committee that the payment to Daniels violated campaign finance law.

But clearly Pence is not going to let a little thing like facts stand in the way of his adoration of Donald Trump.

In that same interview, Pence also defended Mr. Trump over his disparaging comments about immigrants from Africa and Haiti.

Pence told the AP that he "knows the president's heart." He says Mr. Trump is determined to implement a merit-based system that encourages immigration by those who will "contribute to a growing American economy and thriving communities" and one that does not take into account the immigrants' "race or creed."

Once again that is an absolute denial of what Trump has tweeted, stated publicly, or been quoted as saying in behind door meetings.

Besides it is too late for Pence's revisionist history, the American people already know exactly what is in Donald Trump's heart.

Stormy Daniels: “We had really good banter. He told me once that I was someone to be reckoned with, beautiful and smart just like his daughter.”
Yes that, big dollops of McDonalds saturated fats, and overriding racism. Those are the things inside Donald Trump's heart.

Senator Dick Durbin defends his report about Trump's "sh*thole" comments, while the Donald calls him a liar.

While speaking to reporters, Durbin called on the White House to release the tapes of a White House meeting in which Trump reportedly referred to African nations as “shitholes”.

Durbin also pushed back against some Republicans who claim that Trump used the term “shithouse” instead of “shithole.”

“I know what happened,” Durbin said, noting that he attended the Oval Office meeting on immigration reform. “I stand behind every word that I said.”

“I don’t know that changing the word from ‘hole’ to ‘house’ changes the impact,” the Illinois Democrat observed. “I don’t think a majority of Americans agree with the president whichever word that he used. I don’t believe that a majority of the Republican Party agrees with the president, whichever word that he used.”

Durbin said that he is “stunned that this is their defense.”

“I don’t know if there was some other recording device in use within the Oval Office,” Durbin added. “If there was, I just want to call on the White House right now, release whatever you have.”

There is no recording device, because I can guarantee that Trump does not want a permanent record of the things he says behind closed doors.

And in what universe is referring to a country as a "shithouse" more acceptable than calling it a "shithole?"

Apparently these remarks irritated the  Tangerine Fuhrer and he took to Twitter to respond.
So let me get this straight.

It now hurts the military when people call Trump out for being a racist?

Or did I read that wrong?

Okay well this is just marvelous.

I love this projected graffiti idea.

People are so inventive these days.

And really nothing could be more appropriate in response to Trump's racist remarks.

Joy Reid shuts down conservative guest who tries to trot our Clinton conspiracy theory in response to question about Trump's "sh*thole" comments.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

During a panel discussion on Trump’s comments about Haiti and African nations being “sh*tholes,” the AMJoy host turned first to conservative commentator Stephanie Hamill.

“Stephanie, I will start with you. when you heard what Donald Trump said about Haiti, about the African countries, really talking about El Salvador and any other countries that are nonwhite, how did you feel when you heard those comments?” Reid asked.

“Joy, we didn’t actually hear him say those words,” Hamill began only to have Reid clarify, “When you read them.”

“When I read them, yeah, and this is the biggest fake news story of the week,” Hamill replied. “It’s interesting to sit back and watch people are so angry about what that the president didn’t say, and they are more angry than they are at the Clinton’s for getting rich off the poor Haitians with the Clinton Foundation.”

As the panel expressed shock at Hamill bringing up the Clinton’s, Hamill pressed on.

“You can ask Klaus Eberwein, the former Haitian government official that has all the dirt on the Clinton Foundation– oh, wait, you can’t ask him because he mysteriously committed suicide the day he was supposed to testify,” Hamill blurted

“What are you talking about?” asked conservative Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin. “This is nuts.”

“Did you get talking points before you came here from the RNC or the White House?” host Reid cut in. “It’s interesting that yesterday Mark Burns, who was the surrogate we had on on the Trump side yesterday, tried to roll out the same Clinton stuff? Did you get talking points before you came here?”

“Joy, I didn’t get talking points,” Hamill shot back, attempting to get back to her story.

Host Reid then cut her off with a warning.

“I don’t know you, Stephanie, but let me explain this to you: this is not Fox News and we are not going to play the game of rolling out crazy conspiracy theories in answers to my questions and take us off track,” Reid lectured. “So I am going to put you pause for the minute, I’m going to put you to the side because they are more familiar with the way that we do things here.”

Oh yeah, she definitely got some talking points.

Joy Reid is rapidly becoming one of my favorite hosts on MSNBC.

Not only is she always well informed on the issues she presents on her show, but she simply does not tolerate any Right Wing bullshit.

Pretty soon the trolls may have to move away from criticizing Rachel Maddow's hand gestures and focus on some mannerism of Joy Reid's instead.
