President Obama says he’ll veto the latest attempt by Congress to push through the Keystone XL pipeline, but he hasn’t yet committed to rejecting this dangerous proposal outright.
That’s where we come in. Tell President Obama that he should stop Keystone XL for good—and do it now.
As usual Robert Reich explains something complicated in a way that makes it simple for even those a little slow on the uptake to understand.
Probably helps that he was a professor at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
I hope the President is listening and takes his advice.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Activists obtain footage from Mayflower, Arkansas that Exxon is desperate that you never see.
Courtesy of Leak Source:
Yesterday, activist indy news team JNL RadikalMedia did what the mainstream media won’t or can’t do, providing exclusive video from the scene of Exxon’s oil pipeline spill in Mayflower, Arkansas. The video shows what can only be described as a lake of oil.
Allegedly Exxon has been pumping the spill into this area. Exxon’s absorbent pads aka paper towels can also be seen scattered across the ground.
Here is the video that they shot.
From all reports Exxon has essentially established a police state, keeping journalists out and even maintaining a no fly zone over the area.
I am angry that Exxon still has this much power in this country, and I think it is well past time for them to be treated like exactly what they are, environmental criminals!
You can see more gut wrenching pictures here.

“We’re Awake and We’re Standing Up” Meet Ta’Kaiya Blaney the eleven year old Canadian who is scaring the crap out of certain energy company executives.
Courtesy of Yes! Magazine:
If we keep waiting for change, it's never going to come," Ta'Kaiya tells the people gathered for and Idle No More event in Courtenay, British Columbia.
At 11 years old, Ta'Kaiya has become something of an icon for the Canadian movement for environmental justice on First Nations lands.
In July 2011,she attempted to deliver a letter outlining the community's concerns to Enbridge, the company that is planning to build the proposed Northern Gateway tar sands pipeline. She was escorted off the company’s property by security guards.
"I don’t know what they find so scary about me,” she said. “I just want them to hear what I have to say.”
Now Ta'Kaiya stands among the hundreds protesting Canda's C-45 bill, which many say jeopardizes the land rights of First Nations people.
This young environmentalist is rapidly become the face of the anti-tar sands movement, not to mention an articulate representative of the First nations people, and the the energy companies have every right to find her "scary" because she is just brimming with talent.
Here check out her song "Shallow Waters."
I know right? This young lady is going to be a huge public relations nightmare for these Canadian energy companies.
And I love it!
