There is too much SEX and VIOLENCE on television according to....well according to this one group.

Wherein we learn that the huge spike in indecency complaints lodged at the FCC in third quarter 2005 came as a result of one organization: yep, the Parents Television Council. The PTC filed 23,542 of the 23,547 complaints the FCC received in July, mostly against the same two programs, including "The Inside" on Fox. How'd you like to have their Xerox lease contract?

These people crack me up! Look, clearly you are the only people in the country that don't know how to use your television remote. If the show offends you then don't watch it! If enough people don't watch it then it will be canceled. On the other hand if you dislike a show that others like then you will just feel out of the loop around the watercooler. Sucks for you!

In my opinion, the only one that really counts, television is waaaay behind other mediums when it comes to sex. Movies are starting to show penetration in movies that are not x-rated, magazines about everything have scantily clad women on the cover (How does a girl in a bikini make the tricked out car look better?), and the internet is rife with every type of perversion known to man. (On that last one I am relying only on second hand info. No really!)

Televsion is fine for most adults. As for kids, well that is what they have parents for. Block the shows that you do not want them to see. And if they always want to spend the night at their friends house the night the "L Word" is on then you might want to check that out too.
