I can find no reason to believe that Bush's numbers are accurate.
I am far more likely to believe an independant report which puts the number at, or above, 100,000 innocent dead Iraqi's. But isn't one innocent death one too many?
Of course this brings up the question of our morality. How much less is a child's life worth if they live near our enemy then the life of a child who lives in our neighborhood? Are they in some way guilty because they happen to live in a country that we are at war with? How can we just shrug off these lives? I cannot.
These are just people. How can we bring them peace while we are killing them? Democracy at the point of a sword? I simply can't accept the cost of this war. Not the cost in dollars, and certainly not the cost in lives. It is just way too damn much!
Your new setup looks great...and yes, about Bush's math- it once again is sure fuzzy...It's a funny thing about his lies- he really believes that if he says them enough- they must be true...
ReplyDeleteand yes, thank heavens Murtha is still pounding the Truth, sadly Bush told Brian Williams that he doesn't watch TV...so why does Fox, NBC, and others cater to him? ( how scary is it that we don't have leaders that even acknowledge their own propaganda..or watch it)
