Ooh look! I have a new favorite website! Check this out.
And on the Dec. 20 edition of NPR's Diane Rehm Show, Bruce Fein, former deputy attorney general in the Reagan Administration, said:
FEIN: On its face, if President Bush is totally unapologetic and says I continue to maintain that as a war-time President I can do anything I want – I don’t need to consult any other branches – that is an impeachable offense. It’s more dangerous than Clinton’s lying under oath because it jeopardizes our democratic dispensation and civil liberties for the ages. It would set a precedent that … would lie around like a loaded gun, able to be used indefinitely for any future occupant.
Damn this just warms the heart of my......uh the cockles of my heart.
So even the Conservatives can't stomach the criminal behavior of this administration. Good to know. I just love it when they use the "I" word!
At least in Austraia our major political parties are more or less in agreement on foreign policy and national security. On the other hand, US Left would rather bring down Bush than stand firm on national security. Very dangerous.
ReplyDeleteRe the link on previous thread:

Just focuses on why we need to unite on our common ideals (I am not referring to Lennon's lyrics)and stop all this impeachment nonsense that makes the US an easy target.
I thought it was against US interest when Clinton was an impeachment target as I do now.
Damn! A level headed response.
ReplyDeleteWe don't brook liars in America. Well at least when we uncover the lies. So when Clinton lied under oath he sealed his doom. I don't agree with the impeachment choice but I would have supported some other punitive measures. Personally I hate liars from either side of the fence.
If we prove that Bush lied to get us into this war there is no way we will let that slide. No way!
Would you?
Personally I hate liars from either side of the fence.
ReplyDeleteYou must really hate Bill Clinton, then. And Joe Wilson. And Sandy Berger. And Dan Rather and Mary Mapes. And Ted Kennedy. And John Kerry.
As for the rest, do you really, honestly think that National Proletariat Radio finding a conservative who disagrees with President Bush on something is a devastating indictment? Hell, National Review does it on a daily basis. That's one of the stark differences I've noted between the left and the right. The right is far more willing to look critically at, and disagree with, its leaders. With the left, pointing out the flaws of any of its heroes just results in ranting about koolaid and 'FAUX' News.
I was very pissed when Bill Clinton lied!
ReplyDeleteI would respectfully disagree with the assertion that Joe Wilson lied. And in my opinion the jury is still out in the Rather/Mapes debacle.
Did Ted Kenndy lie? You are not talking Chappaquiddick are you? Cause that horse has done been beat.
Kerry has not lied to my knowledge. But honestly his wishy washy attitude did bother me a lot.
I think that the world class liars are all on the conservative side of the fence.
Oh and one more thing. I believe there is a vast difference between disagreeing with a president of your party and suggesting that that president might face impeachment for his actions. I do not recall any Democrats calling for the impeachment of Clinton.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Mapes Book..and the Investigative team that was Reviewing the Documents..hmmm, interesting thing about that...they could NOT conclusively PROVE that they were Frauds...so what does that mean??? Means that they yes indeedy might be Authentic and Real...
ReplyDeleteand Mr.Wilson's Book The Price of Loyalty shows that as a Diplomat and 20 year Employee of this Country he was treated with great disrepect in a vindictive vengeful manner. Why ? Because he would not support the current president's Lies. And if you read Fitgerald's Indictment on the Internet- the First one- of Scooter Libby Assistant to the President- it makes VERY Clear WHO lied and WHY.
Fact checking is a wonderful thing.
