Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and injured a man during a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas, his spokeswoman said Sunday.
Harry Whittington, 78, was "alert and doing fine" after Cheney sprayed Whittington with shotgun pellets on Saturday at the Armstrong Ranch in south Texas, said property owner Katharine Armstrong.
Armstrong said Cheney turned to shoot a bird and accidentally hit Whittington. She said Whittington was taken to Corpus Christi Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Cheney's spokeswoman, Lea Anne McBride, said the vice president was with Whittington, a lawyer from Austin, Texas, and his wife at the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
I told you this administration can't aim. Or can they? I wonder what this Whittington guy did to piss Cheney off?
I like this part, "Fortunately, the vice president has got a lot of medical people around him and so they were right there and probably more cautious than we would have been," she said. "The vice president has got an ambulance on call, so the ambulance came."
So it appears that Cheney's chronic heart problems probably helped this guy get medical attention far faster then he usually could have expected. Man that is some screwed up Karma working there!
The MSM is reporting that Whittington was hit with pellets. Like its no big deal - just pellets
ReplyDeleteIt was hundreds of pellets from a shotgun at 30 yards. If you cant tell the difference between a 1/4 lb quail and a 180 lb man at 30 yards - you have no business hunting.
Wonder how much the City of Austin paid Cheney for this? Whittington is in a legal battle with the City of Austin over Emminent Domain. The city wants his land, he refused their low ball offer, but they went ahead and built a parking garage on his property anyway. He's suing and winning so far.
Ooooh a conspiracy theory! Me like!
ReplyDeleteOkay the ER nurse is going to weigh in since the Conspiracy Box has been opened...
ReplyDelete(1) The Condition of this poor 78 year old man has not been released.( yet) And it took the Media over 24 hours to release the story- and the WH still STILL has not issued an Official Statement ( they are most likely still creating it). Shot in face, neck, chest is VERY serious- head and neck- at WHAT range? And how fast did he get care?
(2) Gunshot wounds- Quail Hunting- most injuries from it- related to back or rump at some distance. But the Face, neck, and Chest- NOPE....hot usual wound pattern.
( unless they took Stevie Wonder hunting)
(3) Injury happened OVER 24 hours ago....In most states there are laws about Gunshot wounds of ANY kind- there has to be initial report and investigation initiated within 24 hours...by AUTHORITIES...
(4) Travis County- isn';t that a Delay territory- turf?
(5) Whittington was also involved in real Estate issues and Prison reform...a lawyer...maybe that is not on the Bushco team?
