Did Bill Clinton help Dubai with ports deal?

Bill Clinton, former US president, advised top officials from Dubai two weeks ago on how to address growing US concerns over the acquisition of five US container terminals by DP World.

It came even as his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton, was leading efforts to derail the deal.

Mr Clinton, who this week called the United Arab Emirates a “good ally to America”, advised Dubai’s leaders to propose a 45-day delay to allow for an intensive investigation of the acquisition, according to his spokesman.

Now I don't claim that this site is fair and balanced, that is the cable network whose "name we dare not speak"! (It rhymes with "box"!)

As a matter of fact there are probably those who would describe me, and my site, as "unfair and unbalanced". I guess that might be true.

However I feel honor bound to report the newstory above because if it is indeed true it is something that we all should be aware of, even though I don't know whether or not Clinton is right to feel that this company is not a security concern.

I have a deep and abiding respect for Mr. Clinton but I do not support this deal to lease our ports to this particular company. Actually I am concerned with any of our ports being in the hands of other countries. Therefore having Clinton's name linked to this deal upsets me a little.

At the very least this is looking to be political suicide to anybody who is associated with it. (And that might include anybody married to anybody associated with it.) And keeping the support for it coming only from Republicans gives Democrats an inroad into claiming to be more worried about Homeland Security then the controlling party. But at the most this is allowing the fox to guard the henhouse. A henhouse filled with American citizens. That is truly a frightening scenario.

If I were Mrs. Clinton, (God there is a scary thought!) I would grab Bill around his wandering penis and tell him to stay the fuck out of this until the dust settles. Then she might just give it a couple of jerks because the poor guy is clearly sex starved.
