Senate panel says no to wiretapping probe.

Senate Republicans on Tuesday agreed to expand oversight of President George W. Bush's domestic spying program but rejected Democratic pressure for a broad inquiry into eavesdropping on U.S. citizens.

Isn't this like having half of the police force decide not to investigate a potential crime because they don't want the suspects to not like them? If there is nothing criminal going on here then what is the damn problem?

And don't give me that garbage about national security risks if there is an investigation. They do not have to tell us how it works, they just have to let the Senate see how it works. And as for potential leaks? Please! The Titanic did not have as many leaks as this White House! I seriously doubt allowing the Senate to investigate the domestic spying probe will get any more information into the newspapers then is going to show up there soon anyway.

I think that the source of the leaks is George Bush! I think that he has decided that being President is too much "hard work" and he wants out of the job! He just wants to go back to Crawford, start clearing some brush, and pound down a couple of cool ones before going to bed at 7:30.

And if that is true then there is finally something that George W. Bush and I agree on.
