Federal judge sides with the terrorists.

Well at least that is the way that the Republicans and this administration are going to spin this:

A federal judge ruled Thursday that the government's warrantless wiretapping program is unconstitutional and ordered an immediate halt to it.

U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor in Detroit became the first judge to strike down the National Security Agency's program, which she says violates the rights to free speech and privacy.

I have already heard one CNN correspondent mention that this judge is a Carter appointee as if that somehow made the decision less important. I have confidence that this is just one of many decisions that are going to be handed down that demonstrate that this administration callously and with malice broke many of our most important laws. I can only hope that they get a chance to experience the true consequences of breaking those laws.

Can you say "soap on a rope"?
