The Feds are raiding the offices of some of Alaska's Republican Senators.

Two Federal Bureau of Investigation agents were in the office of Sen. John Cowdery, R-Anchorage, the Senate Rules Committee chairman. They declined to identify themselves or what they were looking for, instead referring a reporter to the bureau's Anchorage office. FBI spokesman Eric Gonzalez in Anchorage says agents were executing search warrants, but wouldn't say what they were looking for.

According to a legislative aide working in the Capitol, the offices of Senate President Ben Stevens, R-Anchorage, and Rep. Vic Kohring, R-Wasilla, were also part of the raid. Kohring, contacted at his legislative office in Wasilla, would not confirm or deny that his office was part of the raid or what agents were searching for. He said, "I can't talk about that right now."

I don't know exactly what is happening yet.

And yes, for those with sharp eyes, Ben Stevens is indeed the son of Alaska Senator Ted "Internet tubes" Stevens. He is a beady eyed little jerk who has been investigated multiple times for ethics violations.

The nut does not fall far from the ancient senile old tree.
