Americans by 2-to-1 support the decision by former North Carolina senator John Edwards to stay in the Democratic presidential race even though his wife, Elizabeth, has been diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer.
However, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds that more than a third of those surveyed believe that Edwards eventually will be forced to withdraw from the campaign because of her illness.
Well we cannot predict the future can we? But the truth is that every single candidate running for President, on both sides of the fence, has a deal breaker that would cause them to drop out of the race. Some probably have many deal breakers. At least we can see clearly how determined both John and Elizabeth Edwards are to make our country a better place for their children and for ours.
These are not frail people, and frail people should never attempt to be the leader of this country.
