We knew that the 21,000 soldiers being sent to Iraq in this latest surge were not going to be enough. So here comes the National Guard, again.

“I think this was all concealed until we got through the election,” said retired Army Gen. Barry McCaffrey, a military analyst for NBC News. “There’s no way to sustain the current rate of deployments without calling up probably nine National Guard brigades in the coming year for involuntary second tours.”

Gates did not mention the Guard deployment in a news conference Thursday at the Pentagon. Earlier this year, he revised Pentagon regulations to authorize more frequent Guard deployments to take some of the burden off the Army.

The army is broken and so Bush is going to abuse the national Guard until it breaks as well.

Who else believes that George Bush's childhood bedroom was full of broken toys, puzzles with missing pieces, and unfinished homework stuffed under his mattress?

This is why you do not elect an underachiever to run your country. I don't care how down home he seems on the television. He is a fucking idiot! How could anybody not see that?
