Jon had crazy neo-con Bill Kristol on his show last night.

Jon busts Kristol on his "sunnier then reality allows" optimism.

I, of course, dislike Kristol with every fiber of my being. But having said that, I was impressed by how well he he managed to stick to the script while Jon took potshots at him. And at the end he even managed to say something that was genuinely funny.

By the way did you notice that part of Kristol's central theme was "do not trust any of us, not Bush, not me, not the administration, but do place your trust in General Petraeus".

So do you have any doubt whatsoever that the administration knows that Petraeus is going to follow the script that they gave him?
