Look! It is only Saturday and we have already caught Hillary Clinton in another lie! Oh she is going to make a great President!

Over the last five weeks, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York has featured in her campaign stump speeches the story of a health care horror: an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died herself after being denied care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee.

The woman, Trina Bachtel, did die last August, two weeks after her baby boy was stillborn at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. But hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.

“We implore the Clinton campaign to immediately desist from repeating this story,” said Rick Castrop, chief executive officer of the O’Bleness Health System.

I know politicians are supposed to lie, but don't you think Hillary may be overdoing it a little?

I remember feeling so sorry for the fact that she was married to man who lied to her and cheated on her, but now I think they were meant for each other.

  1. To be fair, Hillary was simply repeating a story that was told to her. While I'm no fan of La Shrillery, this sounds like a case where she was given a story by a reputable person (a deputy sheriff) without sufficient details to verify it herself, and relied on the deputy sheriff giving her an accurate story.

Maybe she shouldn't have trusted that deputy sheriff, but really, the point Hillary was making is that somewhere in America, there *is* someone who died because they couldn't come up with a $100 fee. In fact, over 20,000 Americans die every year because they cannot come up with the scratch to get timely and appropriate medical care. That, not some quibbling over a deputy sheriff's tall tale, is what we ought to be talking about.

  3. more to the point she did not even bother to check on the details or check with the family that she could "use" this story on the trail- trying to paint this story ( ahem - kind of like painting that "Sniper Tale".....you know so we would see that she has a heart and "cares"....lordy....)

But the Penguin is right- there is plenty of tragedy here....in the Ol USA - everyday- she could have just told the Truth....based ON REAl facts.......

but no instead she found this tale- susposedly told to her by a Sheriff- when she stayed at his house ( boy that part of the story was interesting too..)

Here in Ohio.....she did not meet and greet REAL people ( at the auto plant when she visited ONLY certain people were allowed to meet her...) so it irks me that she is now creating tales of People, real people she met here....

Great another Liar....just what America needs....
