Ivy Leaguers and other top law students were rejected for plum Justice Department jobs two years ago because of their liberal leanings or objections to Bush administration politics, a government report concluded Tuesday.
In one case, a Harvard Law student was passed over after criticizing the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. In another, a Georgetown University student who had previously worked for a Democratic senator and congressman didn't make the cut.
Even senior Justice Department officials flinched at what appeared to be hiring decisions based _ improperly and illegally _ on politics, according to the internal report.
Look I hate to seem indifferent to this criminal activity. If this were any other administration I would expect this to cause all kinds of criminal action and further scrutiny into their practices.
But this is the Bush administration. They break laws like some people eat potato chips. And nothing ever happens to them. Nothing!
This should be a giant story that consumes the news cycle for weeks to come and there should be indictments and hearings and somebody, somewhere, should do some damn jail time!
But they won't. Because the Democrats are pussies, and the Republicans could not care less.

You've got to be kidding....I *KNOW* a woman who was told straight up that her views were unacceptable to a Clinton admin post she was interviewing for, and she knew it wouldn't work, and was a grownup about it. But Bush doing it is illegal? Look, hate him, whatever, but at least don't hold his admin. to a different standard than others. WEAK post.
