Today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) spoke to the National Urban League, a group “devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream.” When an audience member asked him how he planned to reduce urban crime, McCain praised Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s efforts in New York Cirty before invoking the military’s tactics in Iraq as the model for crime-fighting:
MCCAIN: And some of those tactics — you mention the war in Iraq — are like that we use in the military. You go into neighborhoods, you clamp down, you provide a secure environment for the people that live there, and you make sure that the known criminals are kept under control. And you provide them with a stable environment and then they cooperate with law enforcement, etc, etc.
I quite literally did not think that ANYBODY could do anything more to turn the American people against their government, but John McCain just proved me wrong.
I wonder if he is not suggesting doing this before the election to keep the urban voters safe from crime and incidentally put up a few road blocks and security checks that may keep them from the reaching the voting booths in November.
Remember black people McCain is just trying to keep you safe, and from making a terrible mistake at the polls. You are welcome.
It is not just black people- it is ANYONE that lives urban....he considers Inner Cities "BLIGHTED" areas..slums...unworthy of any Humane Treatment....
ReplyDeletethis is nothing new...when Bush and Cheney come to Ctown they "clamp" down- blocking off streets and cops everywhere- and they zoom through town in 20 Giant SUV's .....so they don't have to look US the people in the eye....ever...
If McGramps gets elected I am done...I will be leaving...
(I won't put up with another Sicko Criminal at the Helm....)
who cares about the inner city, i don't i wish they would just kill each other. why should my tax dollars go to help people who don't want to help themselves
