As you can see she is asked about Emmonak at 1:10 in the video and simply punts the question. She appears completely unmoved by the struggles of the rural natives. Who in their right mind would trust this woman to run our country?
At 2:20 she is asked about her SarahPAC and denies it has anything to do with a Presidential run in 2012. Take a big whiff of the bullshit ladies and gentlemen. That is grade A Sarah Palin brand cow excrement!
Oooh at 4:45 she is asked about her constant focus on issues OUTSIDE of Alaska. Does she answer that question honestly? What do you think?
At 5:45 she explains that she is attending the Alfalfa club shindig because President Obama will be speaking, NOT because she is an attention whore that has to constantly be close to wherever the media's focus is at any given moment. (I am a little surprised we have not seen her following disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich around trying to pick up some of the media crumbs he leaves in his wake.)
And isn't it gratifying to learn that Sarah's focus "first and foremost" is Alaska. (You know I think that pile of bullshit is in danger of toppling over and crushing our Governor any minute now.)
I don't know about you but if I were those reporters I would totally have taken Palin up on her offer of a ride. Just think what questions you could ask her when she has no way to escape them!
(Hat tip to my good friend Phil Munger for this video which I stumbled across over at Progressive Alaska. Thanks Phil!)
If Alaska is "first and foremost," why has she filed with the FEC as a 2012 Presidential candidate?
ReplyDeleteOkay. First of all, did she just bat the issue of Emmonak and the rural energy crisis away like an insignificant fly? I mean, HERE was her opportunity to soothe the growing unease that her soul is as cold as ice, that she's flat out ignored a truly heartbreaking situation, and yet does she, at the very least, wow us with some fantastic political savvy? Uh, not so much. She is, dare I say, obtuse in her less than tepid answer.
ReplyDeleteHer answer re: the PAC sounded a lot like some of the stuff Blago said in his interview last night with Rachel. And it reminded me of all of those answers the McCain campaign had pumped her with prior to interviews. She sounded like she had just been schooled on why she needed a PAC and why it would have been in her (and the STATE'S) best interest had she had one earlier. But man, talk about reaching for justification. She's bringing up Arnold about the emmissions thing? As if that's the same thing as campaigning for Chamblis?
And I'd be interested to know if Alaska has really taken care of educational provisions that would cost the state a fair share of the stimulus package. I mean, here's Alaska with a HUGE drop-out rate and yet AK is being punished for "being prudent and forward looking"? Um...really?
I'm also quite confused over the budget vs. the stimulus. I thought the big dust up was that Gov. Palin had drafted a budget that would have potentially SCREWED AK out of a it's fair share of stimulus funds so she could look "fiscually prudent" or some shit. OH! and LOOK HERE:
http://thinkprogress.org/2009/01/27/gop-knee-jerk-stimulus/
If you scroll down to the bottom, there's a map detailing where the money would go. Now, my question: Is AK getting less than $2 billion because of Palin's budget OR is it getting less because of the state's budget surplus?
Gryphen, I triple dog dare you to write a book about this shit. "Tales of an Anonymous Blogger"
Yeah, that's about as pathetic of a title idea as the one that she should pen a book deal for $11 million.
She looks old.
ReplyDeleteShe needs the clothes that the RNC bought her. On her own, she dresses terribly!!
ReplyDeleteshe makes my head hurt. I cannot bear listening to her screechy voice, and reading her word salad isn't any better.
ReplyDeletePlease, make her go AWAY!
