Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

CNN is broadcasting some footage of Emmonak that was filmed by our own Dennis Zaki.
This is Emmonak resident Ignatius Hootch talking about how difficult it has been to heat his home and feed his family during this crisis.
Here is what Dennis e-mailed me about this family:
Ignatius was severely injured at work and then got laid off, like most every other laborer in Emmonak. One of the kids has a severe medical condition that keeps the family on edge. There are about 7 or 8 kids. They are a great example of the need in Emmonak.
Once again a proud man almost brought to tears by the circumstances that keep him from providing for his loved ones.

man...just...MAN! just watching him fight back the tears...his pain, it's palpable to this distant viewer. good work, Mr. Zaki.
ReplyDeleteI missed that on CNN, thanks for posting it.
ReplyDeleteReally sad to see. And to know she's done absolutely nothing to help!
This must be a relative of my artist friend Michael and his sister Molly, who was the plaintiff in the famous school case several years ago. This is just so sad. I'm so angry that nothing was done to prevent this crisis.
ReplyDeleteAlaskans freezing to death obviously makes Sarah Palin horny, because why else would she turn her back on these people! Caligula was the same way.
ReplyDeleteI am unable to see the video here?
ReplyDeleteI found a small vid on Alaska Real, don't know if its the same one...She (on Alaska Real) says CNN is going to do a series with Dennis's vids? I hope so, It is so sad these people are starving and having to choose between heating their houses and food and Barbie is hobnobbing with dogkillers and eating steak in DC. I still haven't heard yet about the aid Jay Ramras sent? Has anyone? Mudflats has been getting updates from Ann Strongheart in Naum Iqua (hope I spelled it right) but haven't heard from any other villages including Emmnak.
