Gov. Sarah Palin surprised lawmakers Tuesday by forwarding the names of three appointees to the single open state Senate seat. Two of them, Tim Grussendorf and Joe Nelson, have already been rejected by the Senate Democrats.
You know if Sarah Palin had played baseball instead of basketball she may understand that once the batter has been struck out he goes back to the dugout and eats sunflower seeds. He does not simply turn back around and take another turn at bat. Grussendorf and Nelson have already had their turn up at the plate, they are no longer part of the line up. And who is this third guy?
Palin said the third, Alan Wilson, is a "successful small businessman and active in the community." He is a former president of the Alaska State Home Building Association and is currently president of Alaska Renovators, a Juneau remodeling company. Wilson only became a Democrat on March 4. He was previously registered nonpartisan, and Juneau Democratic Party officials are opposing him, as they did Nelson and Grussendorf.
Another fake Democrat! How stupid does this woman think the Juneau Democrats are?
But that is not all. According to my newly bronzed blogger buddy Shannyn Moore, there is a little more to this story then was covered by the ADN.
But ooooh, lookie, he is married to Sydney Mitchell, the owner of Shoefly. Yes, the one who sold the Governor a pair of red Double Dare Naughty Monkey pumps that had “Joe the Plumbers” panting and sweating from Florida to Fairbanks.
That's right the Governor is actually trying to get the husband of the lady who sold her a pair of slutty pumps a job as an Alaskan state senator. "I liked the shoes! What other possible qualifications could he need?"
And gee her old lawyer Wayne Anthony Ross is currently up for the job of Attorney General. I can hardly wait to see what position she has in mind for her hairdresser.
However there is something that really confuses me. Sarah Palin has provided three names for the Alaska Democrats to vote on. When this whole thing started it was the Democrats putting forth Beth Kerttula's name for HER consideration. How did this whole process get so ass backwards?
It reminds me of that old show from the early 80's called "The Greatest American Hero". The "plot" of the show was that mild mannered teacher Ralph Hinkley finds this alien suit that gives him super powers. However somehow Hinkley loses the instruction booklet and has no idea how to properly use the powers that the suit provided him. He spent all three of the seasons on ABC crashing into walls and falling from the skies. It was mildly entertaining, and had a great theme song.
Watching Sarah Palin fumbling along as she attempts to use her powers as the Governor reminds of that show. It is as if she woke up one day with all of these amazing abilities but has no earthly idea of how to use them properly. So instead of doing good with these new gifts she is constantly screwing things up, and crashing the state into one wall after the other. And whoever is giving her advice does not understand being the Governor any more than she does.
Sadly for Alaskans the learning curve for Sarah Palin is much too steep. After two years she still does not seem to have a clue as to how to do her damn job, and we are all suffering because of it.
It really is time for this Governor to be removed from her position.
Good "Greatest American Hero" analogy. Either she doesn't understand the rules, or she thinks they do not apply to her.
ReplyDeleteThe Legislature need to break out the butterfly net.
I think it's both, anon. at 6:33. She's in way over her head and has been ever since she was on the Wasilla city council. All she knows about government she learned in Govt. 101 in 1983 (and probably forgot by now).
ReplyDeleteIt's also clear that she works for Sarah Palin, not the people of Alaska. Narcissists don't think the rules apply to them. They believe they are special and above the rules.
Narcissists and other types of personality disordered people DON'T learn from their mistakes and don't admit fault. Look at Blago as an example. Sarah will not change. She will continue until something from the outside stops her (like recall, impeachment or losing an election).
She's entertaining as all h3ll for people not in Alaska. However, I'd sacrifice the entertainment for the good of Alaska.
Why hasn't our state legislature called her on the floor? There are avenues for our elected representatives to chastise state officials and reel them in.
ReplyDeleteI believe the term is censure. So either they have lost their collective spines, the Palinator has damaging photos on file, or they too have lost the instruction book.
Point being; don't hold one accountable, hold them all accountable, and make them do their jobs.
Peace
Griff
She is exactly like Blago, possibly worse...at least Blago actually supported women, minorities, and public education.
ReplyDeleteYou need to do her like Blago and impeach the bitch

ReplyDelete"I mean, she's starting to look like she's having trouble being governor of Alaska."
"....family issues such as the most recent tiff with Levi Johnston,..."
Palin will never elevate her hairdresser to public office.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, replacing a hairdresser is hard work.
I'm fairly certain that Mr Keith Olbermann has included a picture of WAR in his latest comment about teabagging titled "The Night Before Teabagging". It's near the beginning of the video and WAR is standing with a sign and what looks like an umbrella. I'm absolutely convinced it is him and that Olbermann has included it deliberately.
