Part Two
So the Governor admits she has to be bribed to attend a speaking engagement. I don't know what offends me more, that she is willing to prostitute herself and my state, or that she will do it for a hand full of chocolates and a hockey stick.
"But you know you had me at the chocolates." I have no words.
Part Three
Time to mention the teabaggers.
And once again a Republican gets all indignant over things done by the Bush administration which they "mistakenly" blame on the Obama administration.
You know what lady? I have heartburn too. And it is caused by something that I just cannot digest.
Here are the two missing portions.
Part Four
She didn't bring Trig? Even though she is attending a luncheon about Down Syndrome children?
Oh, he has the sniffles. How convenient.
Oh God is she quoting Laura Ingraham and Carl Sandberg in the same speech? Ow, ow, ow! My brain cannot take that.
Part Five
Don't forget to get those ages right Sarah.
Oh she did not tell anybody she was pregnant because of the"Neanderthals out there"? Hey lady you already had the job! Nobody was going to impeach you for being pregnant. Now stupid? Well that is another story all together.
Wait? Is she admitting that she contemplated getting an abortion? Yes, yes she is.
Well so much for her conviction that "all life is precious". Wow that is a stunning revelation!
Perhaps that is why this portion of the video was not immediately available.
Part Six
She did not know what Trig was going to look like? How can she possibly have reached her forties without seeing a child with Down Syndrome?
By the way I have seen the Governor holding Trig in her arms, and she is focused on everything BUT that child.
Part Seven
Wow! This is definitely her crowd. They swallowed every lie she told whole and seemed anxious for more. No wonder she hates being back here where nobody will believe her and her nominees get shot down like targets in a carnival shooting gallery.
Gryphen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting these video clips, though, I have to admit, that like in the last years of Bush I could not watch him anymore. She just upsets my stomach too much!
On part 6 - Sarah said She READ about DS babys, she must have learned about the HIGH risk pregnancy......and still she went through that wild ride to deliver Trigg?- Forgive her father for she does not retains knowledge and the dud never got it.
ReplyDeleteAdam & eve; all over again.
Well, she knows her audience. Too bad she can´t read the rest of us, then maybe should would give up and go home...and STAY THERE.
ReplyDeleteCould she be any more hickey? I mean really uneducated hickey?
ReplyDeleteYeesh. Trailer park hillbilly hair and attitude.
She would be voted out of Fargo, ND so fast that her fake accent would dissipate on the way out!
What a poor excuse for a leader.
People in the Midwest tend to have educated degrees that do not reflect upon her bios .. at all. She would not have been accepted or graduated from any of the Tri-State colleges or universities.
Egads and little fishes!
For what it's worth, Palin made an unexpected visit to the Special Olympics Center on December 19, 2007. The children were so excited to have their picture taken with the governor; the story and picture was in a newspaper. At least one was a child with Down Syndrome.
ReplyDeleteThis speech and her press release of yesterday show, once again, that ALL she is concerned with is her national agenda and not her home state. She will never, ever learn of her own accord that she is NOT representative of the majority of Alaskans and is in fact doing harm to us all with her inconsistency, inattentiveness and plain old stupidity. That so-called family of teachers did a horrendous job for this woman has absolutely zero interest in learning anything. She knows it all evidently. Regrettably, reality will have to be forced down her throat--repeatedly--by actions such as those of the legislators who are indeed concerned with what their people feel and want. Thank you folks once again.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things wrong with that speech, I don't even know where to begin...but I can tell you this Sarah knows she's in trouble at home, and she turned up the charm with her fundie crowd so she can get her f'd up message out to her "base".
ReplyDeleteAll this God's country nonsense about Alaska's resources is just frightening...shows you her only priority as governor, she could care less about anything and everyone else.
Was the Michael she was referring to in the beginning of her speech Michael Steele? Was she audutioning for a position at the RNC? Because honestly that is the only thing she's good for...she can't govern a state or anything else.
Ugh...gotta go to work, can finish the Sarah love fest until this afternoon.
Sorry, but I just can't listen to that voice.. like fingernails on a chalk board..
ReplyDeleteI got about 3 minutes before I just had to quit.. my ears were bleeding and my head was hurting so badly I just couldn't take anymore.. There just aren't enough pain killers in the world for that.
I am sure it was a very nice speech.. no one ever doubted she could give a great speech, just there was never much substance to it. Now if there was a transcript I could read..that would be fine...lol
Thanks Gryphen... you do good work.
People paid to see that?
ReplyDeleteThat was syrup of ipecac.
THE MYSTERY OF GINO'S HAIR - SOLVED!
ReplyDeleteSee it with your own eyes, grasp the truth behind the odd "I tied a squirrel to my head" look!
For no charge, this week only, go to your news stands and pick up the April 27th ("Doris Day Tragedy") issue of GLOBE. Turn briskly to page 17. ("Pit Bull Palin's CRUEL Payback). Now, turn this page over to page 18. There at the top you will see a little picture of Ivana Trump, GINO's role model of glamor, with the same bangs and "hair bump" that GINO, in her simple Alaskan way, tries to replicate with plastic hair clips, and minus the bright shellac of Ms. Trump.
I am MissSunshine, and I declare this case solved!
@6:20 a.m., we always knew she followed Ivana Trump around Anchorage, right? Remember that story? And is it just me or has her hair been tinted red now?
ReplyDeleteI, also, too, can no longer look or listen to SP. She just seems too mentally off.
Did anyone else see the tribute to her on Talking Points Memo? "Still Crazy After All These Years."
http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/photofeatures/2009/04/best-of-sarah-palin.php?img=1
It's like some people would rather have an incompetent white person be in charge of the country than a brilliant multi-racial man.
ReplyDeleteThat's the only rationale I can come up with to understand people's continued support of this person who is woefully unprepared to run her state, let alone a country.
OK, did I read correctly that in the speech she says that she was out of Alaska when she found out about the Downs and even briefly considered an abortion? Yet in Trailblazer, it says Todd was out of town, but she drove over to CBJ to get information? So was CBJ also out of Alaska, or was that one long drive?
ReplyDeleteIsn't she truly choked up at the applause at the end? I mean, it seems she is actually holding back tears (kind of the same look when she was on stage, prohibited from speaking, after being creamed on election night). I "think" she genuinely is verklempt. She is sooooooooo very into being idolized that she can't hide how the reaction feeds her narcissistic soul.
ReplyDeleteEvidently Sarah Palin isn't even looking back as far as Ronald Reagan's presidency for guidance. A widely circulated story at the time was that Nancy Reagan would take the "free" chocolates left for the couple at their hotels, etc., and then go down the aisles of the press planes, basically forcing them to take the candy or risk not getting any access to her husband. "Diabetics demurred, and the overweight tried to," wrote Judy Bachrach about one of these forays. She added that Nancy clearly hated passing among the reporters, but kept it up, until Bachrach herself wrote that Nancy herself boasted that she maintained her "tiny waist and size-four figure" by avoiding chocolates. Her treats, she admitted, were cookies, and, said Nancy, "I am a hot bread freak."
ReplyDeleteThe item that totally destroyed Nancy, written by Bachrach, was that below the hemline of Nancy's dresses, "Like a charming play with third-act trouble, a pair of piano legs taper with unhappy abruptness."
Nancy went into a tantrum, Bachrach was pitched off the plane, and all the President's men were dispatched to mollify the First Lady.
Now, granted, I hardly expect SP to be an avid reader of anything, much less Presidential history. But if she thinks that offering candies and doughnuts will lull the press corps into writing sugar-fueled paeans to her, GINO is sadly mistaken. During the 2008 campaign, an already supine reporter for the Associated Press, Liz Sidoti, has since been tagged with the epithet "Sprinkles" for always remembering John McCain's doughnut preferences. We ain't electing Homer Simpson to lead us, GINO. This country's already done so, more than once, and we all know how THAT worked out.
I haven't listened to or viewed this speech, but someone on another blog said that in it, she says that she gave birth to Trig 8 weeks early. Can someone verify that she actually said that (so I don't have to listen to that voice because my day will be ruined.. ugh!). She was only 4 weeks early with Trig, supposedly, but if she says 8 weeks in the speech, that would be majorly bizarre statement... as if she forgot what her story is supposed to be.
ReplyDeleteGryphen, I just TRIED so hard to listen to Seg. #4, but I could only take 1:12. I just cannot believe that this person (Palin) who cannot put a subject with a complete predicate has a professional job, let alone the governor of the state of AK. She is just one of the worst speakers ever.
ReplyDeleteThank you for watching this for us.
wow, just wow-
ReplyDeleteshe said roughly "i found out i was pregnant when i was out of town, and i thought 'no one here knows me, no one would ever know.' (repeats 'no one would ever' know many times). then, when i got my amino at 13 weeks i really understood about people wanting to change the circumstances...."
dude, that means she was considering abortion BEFORE knowing she carried a DS baby (we're running with the assumption she was actually pregnant for a moment) and without even telling todd she was about to abort one of his potential kids. i'm as pro-choice as you can get, and i find not telling her husband a bit unfair, but she's about as far from it as you can get and apparently thought this would be fine, as long as it was "secret."
SP has previously implied that if a 12 year-old gets pregnant after being raped by her father, she should be made to carry the baby to term, as "all" babies deserve to be born, regardless of the impact on the mother.
and now she just admitted that she contemplated a secret (secret even from her husband) termination of her pregnancy while out of town, because of "neanderthals" thinking she couldn't govern while preggers.
have an underage, rape-based, incestuous pregnancy that will ruin your mental health and maybe destroy your whole life? too damn bad -it ain't the baby-to-be's fault. have a pregnancy at 44 with your husband (that could have easily been prevented by one of the permanent forms of birth control) that you think might impact your future political career and national ambitions? well- that baby-to-be does look expendable doesn't it?
is that the most disgusting and hypocritical thing you've ever heard in your whole life? i think it is for me.
If the "Right to Life" people want to claim her as a champion then they are promoters of terrible, insensitive mothering, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteWhat child wants to grow up to hear that his mom publicly spoke about the contemplation of his abortion? It is so cruel that she did that.
And does she think that because Trig is "special needs" that he won't find out or care that she said that? Even more disturbing...
Is that the only way she can promote her "Pro-Life" bono fides? Disgusting. Keep it to yourself, Sarah, for the sake of your child!
and shall we add that she still claims to have had Amniocentesis at 13 weeks, when it's not normally done until 15-20 weeks to reduce risk to the baby? and that staunch pro-lifers usually skip it altogether?
ReplyDeletemethinks she was trying to induce a miscarriage when she had the test (if any part of her pregnancy story is true in the slightest). if she was pregnant and the wild-ride from texas happened as she stated, then i think she was still trying, at 8 months pregnant and knowing it could kill her!
she is a sick, twisted human being who can't play by the rules she expects others to follow.
Gryphen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving me the highlights. I just can't take her lies and hypocrisy so I try to limit how much I listen to her.
Yes, IMO Sarah did consider having Bristol abort Trig. I think this had something to do with that trip she and Bristol took to New York in October 2007. If you can recall, Todd Palin has said that he wasn't told about the pregnancy until October 2007. I think that this was after Sarah and Bristol decided against the abortion.
Looks like old man Heath has had second thoughts about Levi being a deadbeat dad. I guess he is not up to having a 'rude awakening'. Funny!!!
Is this the outfit she wore at at least one event in Indiana?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.newsandtribune.com/homepage/images_sizedimage_304092939/xl
Sorry, but this almost looks like a quasi military uniform to me. Something a wanna be dictator with delusions of godhood might wear.
Can she see Korea from her house?
Verklempt and looking unkempt to boot. Not the polished Sarah we saw during the campaign.
ReplyDeleteAll along, I have been bothered by the fact that her behavior does not square with her professed religious beliefs. What people do matters far more than what they say, and I didn't see any behavior that aligned with her self-professed Christian beliefs and self-disclosed reliance on prayer. Her admission that she considered abortion adds one more bit of mosaic--a true-blue pro-lifer would never have considered it. I don't think this woman is religious at all. She's simply canny enough to target the religious right and speak their language.
Gryphen - This Alaskan extends heartfelt thanks to you and all the other bloggers who did a LOT of research & got the word out on the most ridiculous candidate of the century, WAR for AG. YES WE CAN!
ReplyDeleteWell, this answers one question. I now understand that GINO thinks her job as governor of Alaska is simply to act as a tour guide and point out statistics on mountain, volcanoes and rivers. Glad we got that cleared up. Any one that has seen her sling that sweet little baby around like he was a sack of potatoes cannot possibly believe one word in this speech (well sort of)as to what a blessing it is to be his mother.
ReplyDeleteNow back to reality Sarah; yes, it's time to go back to Alaska. I know, I know it's a hard thing to have to do when all you want is to be worshiped and never, ever, under any circumstance, challenged on any decision you make, such as who should serve as Alaska's AG.
The way you can tell that Trig is a "story" is the way the "story" keeps changing. What is the REAL story for goodness sake??!!
ReplyDelete"did I read correctly that in the speech she says that she was out of Alaska when she found out about the Downs and even briefly considered an abortion? Yet in Trailblazer, it says Todd was out of town, but she drove over to CBJ to get information? So was CBJ also out of Alaska, or was that one long drive?
So, finally, part 5 of the speech is available. When did Sarah go “out of state at an oil and gas conference” when she first learned she was “pregnant” with Trig? Perhaps that would be when Sarah and Bristol traveled to New York City on October 7-11, 2007 for a 5 day 4 night stay in a luxury hotel. Sarah attended a five-hour conference at Newsweek’s Third Annual Women and Leadership Conference. What did Bristol and Sarah do for the other 4 days, hmmm? Sarah obviously never purchased any maternity clothes for herself. The only maternity dress Sarah ever wore was that cheap black rag in the April 13, 2008 picture taken by Gusty, which was never seen until 8-31-08 (to prove that at least ONE time Sarah looked very pregnant, even though there are NO other pictures, even at the April 16, 2008 conference in Texas). If an amniocentesis was done, Bristol would have been approximately 18-20 weeks during that NYC trip, which would have been a more appropriate time to perform the risky amniocentesis.
ReplyDeleteWith all of Sarah’s lies about her fake pregnancy with Trig, I think she may actually be telling us one truthful factor - that Trig was born at 35 weeks gestation. If Trig was actually born premature at 35 weeks gestation, his birth was between 1-19-08 and 2-2-08.
Wait...so based on what she says, she was out of town when she found out she was "pregnant" but briefly considered abortion? Weeks before she found out "her" baby would have Down Syndrome? Hmm...interesting.
ReplyDeleteIn the video Sarah says she found out about the pregnancy when she was out of town at a 'gas and oil conference,' and thought to herself, here I am, nobody knows me here, .... implying she considered getting an abortion anonymously.
ReplyDeleteShe also says she learned the baby had DS at 13 weeks. Problem with this is, amniocentesis is very dangerous at that stage, and is not normally done until 15-20 weeks at the soonest. Why would she risk infection or a spontaneous abortion at 13 weeks...?
She also says Trig was five weeks early, although the official story is 4 weeks early. And she goes on to say that she "had a heck of a time researching Down syndrome while I was pregnant..." So, she couldn't bring herself to find out about it? OR ... she didn't research it while she was pregnant because she WASN'T pregnant and didn't know. She says she didn't even know what a DS baby looked like.
Very telling, if you ask me.
From reading parts of her speech elsewhere (I'm not going to watch the video) I see a discrepancy concerning her story about finding out Trig had DS. I seem to remember an interview where she said she was in her office (in Anchorage, I think) and got the call from CBJ. An article on AOL says, "She was on a trip out of state at the time, she said, and "just for a fleeting moment I thought, 'No one knows me here; no one would ever know.' ... My amniocentesis came back and then I understood why some people would think they could change their circumstances, just take care of it. Todd didn't even know" the results of the prenatal testing yet, so "no one would know."
ReplyDeleteAlso, too, does anyone else find it odd that she was far enough along for her amnio but Todd didn't know she was pregnant?
OK, I made it through, and my head hurts. I need like 6 Alleve pills. Sarah is so hokey, and unbelievable...she had trouble researching Downs syndrome while she was pregnant? What theatrics...she's like that wing nut Glenn Beck with the crocodile tears, PLEASE.
ReplyDeleteThese are very serious times, Sarah, and overpopulating the country with too many kids is just as dangerous as global warming, war, terrorism, etc. If these kids truly are prcious, why did you cut their funding for education, and try to refuse stimulus dollars that would go to special needs education?
The culture of life applies to EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING...life for animals, babies who are already living, the poor, the sick, and the environment. It means being ant-war and anti-death penalty.
She makes me ill...
I CANNOT listen to her screechy voice... If anyone knows where there is a transcript available, I would appreciate it very much...
ReplyDeleteDID she or didn't she bring along Trig? I read both - someone said yes - she flounted him again like on the campaign trail, and also no - he had the sniffles. What is it?

ReplyDeleteOK, did I read correctly that in the speech she says that she was out of Alaska when she found out about the Downs and even briefly considered an abortion? Yet in Trailblazer, it says Todd was out of town, but she drove over to CBJ to get information? So was CBJ also out of Alaska, or was that one long drive?
So, according to her state travel records, the only time she would have been outside the state around the 13-week timeframe would have been at the RGA conference in Dana Point, CA, from November 28 - 30, 2007. And yet, didn't she say she heard about the DS in December? Plus, when during the conference would she have even been able to sneak off where no one knew her?
I just can't stomach more than a few minutes of listening to that awful screech coming out of her mouth!
ReplyDeleteOK I admit - I also tried to watch but couldn't...I tried it without sound and her gestures were so annoying with that stupid HAIR thing going on and the fact that she doesn't look at the audience and she mispronounces about every third word, I had to quite.
ReplyDeleteHow about a short summary like this:
Clip 1: It's all about ME
Clip 2: More about ME ME
Clip 3; This hair is driving me crazier
Clip 4: I had kids - one has Down's
Clip 5: Dam* hair!
Clip 6: It is STILL about ME ME ME ME
There for all of you who cannot bear to listen, is SP in a nutshell.
Hi Gryphen: Just wondering if it was just me, or did anyone else notice - or hear - in this 'Part-5 video, at about 0:50 thru 1:15 -- She mentions how Bristol announced she was going to be a mom.
ReplyDeleteThen Bristol did have her beautiful, baby boy, and a couple of months later she was asked to be John McCain's running mate. ? ?
Maybe I heard it wrong, but if not, a couple of months after, and her heading for campaigning, would not have been 'Baby Tripp' but 'Baby Trigg' wouldn't it?
Just asking.
Anon. at 3:06--
ReplyDeleteI listened to Pt.5 and you're right---that's what she said: Track went to Iraq, Trip was born, Bristol came to her and said she was pregnant and then a few months later she was asked to run for VP.
Track didn't go to Iraq until 9/08 after Trip was born, so she didn't recite these in chronological order. She may have just been listing things that happened in the past year that made her life "less than idill" and "surrill" as she says. So I'm not sure how to interpret that statement.
According to her travel records, the O&G conference was in New Orleans in late September 2007.
ReplyDeletewhen she quotes the constitution she says
ReplyDeleteunalienable rights, (is that even a word?) it is
suppose to inalienable rights. Is it a typo
in the speech? mispronounciation? WTF? IT'S the
GOD DAMN CONSTITUITION.
oops its in the declaration of independace
ReplyDeleteShe loves the adoration doesn't she? She won't make it in politics - I think she wants to be the next Phyllis Schafley. Indiana - don't you feel special? She said she's so popular, but she picked YOU! By the way you've got a nut job for a Lt. Gov. Who is your Gov? I'll have to Google it. I'm seeing Alaska is not the only state with insane politics (see MN, TX, LA, and now IN). By the way to the earlier commenter, about the hairdo, it's the Holy Roller style. I'm serious. It's tweaked for modern times.
ReplyDeleteSay, is it possible that Palin just made up this anecdote about considering an abortion? It strikes me as a bit suspicious that the abortion would have been kept secret and presumably performed by doctors who didn't know her. Whether or not Trig really is her child, this seems like an attempt to be "holier than thou", claiming she had the choice and didn't take it-- and implicitly arguing that people less holy than Saint Sarah shouldn't have the choice.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest humiliation will be when a DNA sample is retrieved from little Trig and Sarah and the whole world can look back at these videos and see what a liar she is. Nobody likes a liar.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a bunch of haters! It's revealing to see what the left is really like. All you can do is spend your time calling SP names and calling her a liar.
ReplyDeleteWhat a "joyful" life you must live.
