I promised I would try to post a positive story about Governor Palin, and I think I actually may have located one.

Flooding in Eagle is now the worst on record, 10 feet higher than the flood of 70 years ago.

Gov. Sarah Palin issued a disaster declaration Wednesday because of the flooding there and in other areas across the state. The declaration includes the drainages of the Yukon, Kuskokwim, Kobuk and Susitna rivers.

Palin says the declaration paves the way for a rapid response from the state and eventually federal assistance for communities like Eagle that have been hit hard by the flooding.

Good for Governor Palin.

This is a very important function of being the Governor and she did it....adequately.

Yeah I know it is not really a very impressive action on her part, but damn do you know how hard it is to find a positive story to talk about concerning Sarah Palin? It seems that all she does is self promote and screw up.

So here you go, I wrote something positive. If the Governor did her job more often, and left the state less often, I would probably write even more positive posts. Well a few anyway.

Ah, but I also read that she immediately left for NYC for the big gala.

Damn you bloggers! Have you seen my poll numbers?!?! Still not enough to lose the next election though. Gonna have to come up with something better than that to beat me. But you don't have it do you...No you don't.

Yeppers, Palin thinks you can govern AK via BlackBerry. Why should she actually be in the state? Why should she actually show up in Juneau?

AK is only her part-time gig. Catering to the angry "pro-birth" fringe haters: now that's a fulltime job.

But the political landscape has changed, thanks to 8 awful years of Bush. So the current Palin political philosophy is about as relevant as using tin cans on a string to make phone calls.

The more I think about it, I think that's what her shrinking (and shrieking) base wants: America in 1950. Guess what? It's gone forever. It's history, folks. Thank goodness.

Hey, Faux Sarah. We missed you! But clearly, you are so compulsive that you just CANNOT stop posting here, so we will hear from you again and again. (You want to stop posting, but you can't help yourself...You MUST hit the "Post Comment" button; your fingers itch if you don't. You know your words look foolish, and that your IP is recorded. But You. Just. Can't. Stop.)

You don't want to admit you are addicted to a progressive site, and yet, the evidence is there for all to see that you are...

We don't have to do ANYTHING to beat Sarah Palin. She does it all by herself...All we have to do is shine a light on what she does.

So, now you have some flooding, and she CAN declare a state of emergency. Great. How come she could not declare one for the bush country in winter, when people had to choose between food or heat?

John McShame says it is good she is taking care of the flooding in Alaska, but it still does not make up for the smell of soiled diapers on the straight talk bus....

You just know he enjoyed those aromas.

Well Gryphen, I guess this just proves you a better person than I am. I just can't muster up any kudos for GINO for actually doing her job. Just can't.

  9. Anon 7:30, the photo was taken down! What was it?

  10. MrsTarquinBiscuit - the photo opens for me.
It shows first family at Christmas 2007 and SP has a flat tummy. But we know that the picture was actually taken in mid Sept. of 2007 (they decorated the bannister early for the shot).

The photo has not been taken down - it is a pdf file and you have to download it.

Copy and paste the link into the browser, then click download and the file will open to reveal a lovely round bellied Bristol!

But you can also see a screenshot of the photo at this link -

  12. I should have added something else to my last post regarding the 2007 Christmas picture on the bannister - a certain someone in that picture does look pregnant, just not SP.

MrsTarquinBiscuitbarrel, it was a photo of the all of the Palins lined up for a Christmas card photo along the stairway bannister in 2007 (Governor's Mansion?). Perhaps it was taken in mid-Sept. 2007, for use in the official Christmas card photos of 2007...the series in which Bristol has on the dress in which folks speculate her tummy bulges, although this is one shot I had not seen before, published in Alaska Business magazine?

Speaking of photos. GVS was in a rip about the White House not releasing photos of the NY skyline air force photo mistake. She said we the tax payers should have access to what we pay for. I guess that wouldn't include a state like Alaska? She wants to raise a stink about our fed photos, already one will be released. Why can't Alaska be that aggressive about their photos?

Hmmmm, anno @7:30: Wonder WHICH ONE of those Palin women is preggo! (Hint: NOT the one towering over the other women...)

It was a rather heavy Bristol, Sept,2007!! I can access the photo with Firefox.

The picture is still there. It's the "official" Christmas picture probably taken in September of 2007. Bristol sure looks pregnant to me.

The Pic is still there, your computer has to download it from this box.net. I have it in a pdf now, if you want me to email it to you. It's a Christmas family pic that was printed in an AK business newsletter Dec 07. The family is wearing the same dresses they have on in another family photo, the one where they outside posing in front of the mountain. It's a pic I hadn't seen before and Sarah isn't wearing a jacket in this one. I suspect it was taken earlier in the year during warmer weather (as was noted in the other pic).

I've never posted on any of the blogs before and I'd like to say thanks to Gryphen for doing a great job. This is one of the sites I check first almost every day :) I sit on pins and needles with you guys also, too!

Can't you at least talk about how pretty I am. I work hard at it too!
And being a good marketer of myself is good for Alaska! I work hard to stay trim and I am now reading 3 newspapers a day; USA today, New York Post and Alaska Daily News. I am improving my diction and vocabulary so please give me a break. And I have a new hair color. I can't believe you all didn't notice.

See, I am sure you all can find positive things to say about me. I am tryin to focus on Alaska 24/7 folks!!

it may have been a "new" photo on palins deceptions, taken 3 days before she appeared very prego with gusty.

  26. i am sure someone told her to do what she did.

I have copied this from palindeception - it's good:

"Kathleen has already posted the link to the PDF-file with the "lost" official Palin family Christmas picture from 2007.

I have now created an album on my flickr-account in which I have combined all those photos which we have recently found of the big Palin family photo shoot, which happened either on the 13th September (says the photographer) or on the 14th September (says SP's official schedule). In any case, this is extremely interesting. The link is:

    http://tinyurl.com/dzqyod

I have contrasted those pictures from September 2007, which show a surprisingly "bulky" Bristol with the pictures of her we got from myspace, taken in June 2007, just three months earlier. In these pictures she looks very skinny.

One justified question is why the Christmas picture which was taken on the steps in the Juneau mansion in September 2007 was not widely released. The answer seems pretty obvious if you take a good look at Bristol's belly."

Isn't it a sad state of affairs when even a positive move of GINO cannot be looked at as solely positive - that we immediately look for ulterior motives?

Yes it is, and you all ought to think about that. You folks are the most twisted bunch of spittle-flecked haters I've run into in a long time.
