I think it is time to engage the Amber Alert to help locate Sarah Palin.

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the day I spit a mouthful of coffee all over my keyboard after hearing on Morning Joe that Sarah Palin, OUR Sarah Palin, had actually been chosen to run as John McCain's Vice President!

I quickly cursed the 70's and wished I had not eaten that innocent looking sugar cube because surely this must be an LSD flashback. But no, beyond all comprehension this was happening in my real life.

I quickly put up a post declaring that the world was coming to an end, or something like that, and then I just sat back and tried to make my eyes learn to blink again. For most of that day I simply did not know what to think.

Then came the e-mail.

"What do you know about Sarah's last pregnancy?" And the rest is history.

Now one year later McCain has lost his presidential bid, Sarah has resigned as my Governor, many of the questions about her last pregnancy remain unanswered, and she has vanished from the face of the earth.

Wow! Who needs television when you have Sarah Palin? There is more drama in just one day of her life then in six episodes of "The Guiding Light" or "Desperate Housewives".

However the question remains, just where in the hell is she?

Is she in Rhode Island? Or perhaps Montana? Is she in New York being groomed for a FOX talk show? Are she and Todd ensconced in C Street undergoing some intense Christian-based marriage counseling? Is she undergoing some dramatic plastic surgery to make her look more like her idol Carrie Prejean? Or is she actually trying to write her book, with a box of crayons in one hand, and a pocket size thesaurus in the other?

I hate to say this, but I have no freaking idea!

I have asked everybody I know, across the country, to keep an eye out. So far, nothing!

I have heard of two Bigfoot sightings, I found that sock that I was missing, and I think I may have a son I knew nothing about. But no Sarah Palin!

But I guess I should not feel bad, I mean even her own father has no idea where she is right now:

“Sarah’s been out of town for almost a month now,” said Chuck Heath, who is on a campaign swing through Idaho for GOP congressional candidate Vaughn Ward. “I don’t know exactly where she is, but she’s writing her book. She e-mails me quite frequently. She asks, ‘Oh, what happened on June 13, 1978?’ This is material for her book.”

Or, it could mean that her facial peel went too deep and damaged her memory.

Maybe she is wandering a hospital right now trying to remember who she wants to be next, trying to forget she is married to that snowmachine guy, and looking for her Blackberries because the twitching of her thumbs is driving her crazy.

Hey it is just a theory.

Anyhow I task you, the Immoral Minority readers, to find Sarah Palin! Look under rocks, look under bearskins, hell look under Rupert Murdoch! (Perhaps if you listen for the heartbreaking sobs of Meg Stapleton, THAT will give you a lead.)

I don't care how you do it, just find Sarah Palin!

pretty sure I saw her in the local Walmart....she was standing by the door saying, "Welcome to Walmart... do you want a sticker?"

I hope she is locked up in a psych ward, journaling (which I think, to her, means writing a book for Rupert Murdoch). Perhaps she is thinking of 22 steps to becoming Sarahcuda, since her uniform number was #22.

But I fear she is somewhere plotting with a "christian" militia. Crazy Mama Palin and the Dominionist Crusaders.

Barack and Rahm have done a rendition and sent Sarah to an undisclosed prison in Uzbekistan.

At this time she is being waterboarded, hung by her painted toe nails and beaten with a frozen carp (they could not find a salmon).

Sarah still has not confessed to who the real mom of Trig is or who the daddy is... nor has she said how her house was built.

She did confess to a sexual fantasy involving Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.

She has disappeared from the face of the earth - even her FaceBook ghost has not said anything since the call to watch the Glenn Blech show.
Must be the mothership came early and picked her up.

  8. Seriously, I'm betting on plastic surgery. She would have gone to that Anchorage event last week, only the swelling and bruising hadn't quite resolved enough yet.

Why would anyone want to find her? She is finally out of the public eye. She has ghostwriters taking over her facebook page, and is no doubt sitting down somewhere furiously scribbling out her ideas along with her book ghostwriter trying desperately to get it done by the deadline so she can go on tour and sell..sell..sell herself all over again.

I'm happy she is nowhere to be seen.

Now I have heard that her kids have been spotted at home within the last week, so we know she isn't with them, which proves that spending more time with her family wasn't and isn't a priority for her and comes as no surprise to anyone I'm sure.

I think now is the time to regroup and prepare for her reemergence onto the scene and be ready for the bullsh*t we all know she will try to pass off onto those who are oh so willing to buy into her insanity. It pays to be prepared!

I don't want to know where she is. I am enjoying Palin free airwaves. With her out of the limelight, the average IQ across all media has risen about 5 points. I sincerely want her to stay for eternity in whatever hole she is in. I know that this is unlikely permanent, but I don't miss her one bit.

That the Republican Party would seriously contend that this woman was suited to be President of the United States tells me all I need to know about that party.

Even if it is but a temporary respite, I am thoroughly enjoying not having to endure her insipid, imbecilic drivel.

If anybody finds her, I'll pay you to keep quiet.

I truly believe she is sequestered somewhere undergoing an intensive preparation by a team gathered by someone influential (Rupert Murdoch? That Christian power secret-house in Wash.?) to re-emerge as the supposedly informed, rational (!)voice of the far right. A puppet. The end-times figurehead being positioned for power. And it scary, because it could work.

  16. Who really cares where she is?
Although it is hard to believe it has already been a year ago that she burst onto the scene when John McCain picked her as his VP running mate.
Maybe she is reminiscing about the "good old days" of campaign 2008?
    Stay tuned...

I'm going with the plastic surgery theory, and seriously it would not surprise me at all to find out she has had a complete mental breakdown as well. I don't buy for one minute she is busy writing her book. We all know she is not capable of writing anything but silly Tweets. She may be in contact a couple of times a week with the ghost writer(s) to give them her no doubt brilliant input.

I hope she stays in reclusion but at some point, when the swelling is gone, she'll be back. Maybe Murdoch is realizing no matter how much money and coaching she receives it will not help her to be able to string two cohesive sentences together. I don't care what John McCain says publically, I would be willing to bet big money he regrets every single day bringing her onto the national/international stage. Meanwhile, I have to say I am enjoying the Sarah Silence.

Here's a theory: may be if you did experiment with LSD you were one of the outliers who could experience long-term psycho-emotional effects and a significant changes in personality and perspective from even a single dose.

Scary...but it could explain a few things. Would any individual with no
apparent neuro-or psychopathology become so obsessed with the life of a political figure?

    I guess it depends.

What a collection of P.R. geniuses.

The "death panel" soundbite did its job but it came at a price: it did help sustain the devisiveness in the republican party.

Lawyers (and political advisors) know that when the rehabilitation of the public image of a client or candidate is necessary, you "go to the mattresses". Insofar as Palin goes, this maneuver has an almost insignificant downside but a tremendous upside.

It is right out of the Richard Nixon playbook, and coincidentally, the fact that Palin weighed in "in absentia" on the Glenn Beck issue suggests she is already being "coached up" by Roger Ailes--which should be a concern to those who despise the woman. Counted among Ailes' projects
have been Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bush "41" Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Shepherd Smith. (He is also credited with rehabilitating the
public image and careers of Oliver North and Geraldo Rivera.

Let that sink in for a moment.

This is the guy who also took Fox to the top of the charts in 2002 where it has stayed for seven years.

Can anybody here connect the dote:

If Ailes thought Glenn Beck was out of line he would have fired him. He didn't and he will not because there is one thing that is more important than sponsors: ratings--because ratings mean sponsors.

How many times has Don Imus been fired only to be rehired?

So, Ailes likes Beck, Beck takes a hit, and who covers his back from the tall grass: only Palin. Already, 16,000 people have weighed in on Facebook to say they liked Palin's position on the matter.

But here's the real gist of the matter: the 30 or so sponsors who have bailed on Beck are not taking their money to CNBC or CNN-they are staying in the same hotel, they just want a different room. The network, therefore, has not lost money. Bill O'Reilly will get his share as will Hannity and Smith.

But back to Palin's going underground. That's what Nixon did in 1963.
He moved to New York, became a senior partner in a leading law firm,
and remained largely out of the public eye for months at a time, writing only one article "Asia after Vietnam".

You don't think Ailes knows any of this? He wrote the book on it.

Now, if the host of this forum has any legitimate sources it should be very easy to find out where Palin is--if she's been hospitalized, or in rehab, or suing or being sued for divorce.

Hell, Princess Diana couldn't even hide in Paris or London. How is that in
the microcosm of Alaska or Rhode Island or Montana Palin has pulled a Kaiser Sose act?

    "...and like that, poof!...(s)he's gone."

I've considered the mental breakdown possibility, and I decided that Palin's level of delusion is too strong to break down. She'd never think there's anything wrong with her. Physical changes from time- wrinkles, etc.- those she acknowledges because they can be fixed and then denied.

She'll turn up eventually, and we'll get a good look at her face. There's enough saved photos that we'll be able to judge. I wonder; if she paid for her plastic surgery, did she go for a really good (expensive) plastic surgeon? Or did she go for a lower-cost one? Or did somebody else pay?

That's another reason she is dogged and there is no privacy for a liar. The bigger the lies the less privacy.

  42. Anonymous10:58 AM

I agree, the disappearance is along the lines of what 8:41 AM is saying.

There are people who want to know where she is because they are working on books and documentaries. Charlie Manson,
Jim Jones and other charismatic leaders all have books written about them. It is not because they are likable people. Don't read them if you aren't interested. The real story is not about a person that is crazy. It is how did a crazy person get all those rick people to back her and get that close to the nukes. What is the story of the churches and fanatics? We need the whole picture to try to prevent the next one. She is a puppet and puppets are dispensable to their masters. She will be replaced. We also want the whole story on McCain and to see justice.

There is a problem in our election system. How and why does a mental case have a PAC?

I enjoy the respite and feel if she is able to return it will be another problem for her. The public may have to endure some of the make-over results and fake events but she will do what she always does and sink even lower. One day she won't come back at all.

Baby gates are not solved and there is story after story there. Some of it is soap opera and grade B movie material. Other is one of the biggest frauds and cover ups of the 21st century. 100 years from now no one will realize she was in politics or even a celebrity. She will just be the crazy woman that faked a pregnancy.

Wait, that puts him at the top of the manure heap that supports the GOP. So, never mind.

On another note, Gryphen, have you ever considered switching to another blog provider? Re: Sarah's possible "nicer" re-emergence. Mental health experts should weigh in, but I believe SP's symptoms are so severe that she cannot be "taught/repackaged" at this late point in her life. The GOP tried once--spent hundreds of thousands on it, actually. It was an EPIC FAIL and as we can all see, her symptoms have only gotten worse as time goes by.

@10:01. - Ailes' modes of rehab are outmoded. He is sooooo 20th century. It's a new Brand Day, baby. And Palin cannot be coached in the 21st century media demands. Re: Sarah's possible "nicer" re-emergence.

"Aile's methods of rehab are outmoded."

Perhaps, but let's talk about you. I'm assuming you're not a practicing mental health professional but since you find it good sport to label someone with a severe, intractable psychopathology, perhaps you would find it enlightening to be on the receiving end of that sort of passive aggressiveness.

Your post suggests that you may have a tendency paranoid cognition. Not in the sense you might think I mean but in this way: You do your homework. You examine the "apparent" facts carefully but you do so with considerable prejudice, dismissing out of hand those elements of a situation which do not support your initial assumptions while locking on to anything that supports them.

The predominant assumption driving you to your conclusions is that any observation which does not support initial appraisal of a situation is
    a sham.

Consequently, when you investigate a matter you do so with remarkable focus and intensity. The problem is, however, your attention
is rigidly directed, which is why it is invariably biased. We all have certain preconceptions through which we observe the world and which
colors our perceptions but these preconceptions are modified when we observe that which we did not expect to observe.

The individual whose cognitive style is somewhat paranoid, however, does not possess this perceptual flexibility. He or she considers their idiosyncratic view fallible, thus they impose their own anticipations on whatever they observe. Apparent contradictions between what is and what they believe things to be or always resolved in the same way: the
fact in opposition to their belief is simply dismissed.

I am fairly sure I brought to your attention one or two things about Roger Ailes you didn't know but since they were in opposition to what
you believe is the ultimate truth about the man, you dismissed the information rather than genuinely examining it.

As a general rule, this happens because that which is "novel" is a threat
to a person with a paranoid cognitive style. Palin is a media whore. She is seemingly avoiding the spotlight. Her behavior currently is both unexpected and novel--a potentially combustible cocktail for someone
who is in a constant state of vigilance to avoid observing the unexpected.

Now why would that be? It is because the unanticipated always has the possibility of harboring danger and in this case "danger" would be Palin making a sincere effort with the help of an established P.R. genius to
    rehabilitate her reputation.

You cannot emotionally allow that possibility to be given credence so
Ailes--through your eyes--is an anachronism despite the fact that he
has mastered telecommunications and made media stars out of suspect raw material in the 21st century. Sean Hannity comes to mind.

The bottom line is this style of cognition blankets reality--not across the board but in certain specific circumstances. I've little doubt that you
are a professional success, for instance and are quite capable of seeing things as they are in your work. But in the domain of politics, your vision is distorted and incomplete. You miss what others see as obvious--the plain "face-value" of things. There is no evidence whatsoever (and even Gryphen has begrudgingly acknowledged this) that Palin is in hospital, recovering from cosmetic surgery, or in the middle of divorce proceedings.

To conclude, at least politically, you disdain the obvious, suggest that
the apparent facts are misleading, superficial, and a mystery to be solved.

The fact of the matter is Gryphen, to his credit, has it partially right. Palin's behavior currently is perplexing but to suggest that one KNOWS that the absence of some facts proves the legitimacy of others similarly
unknown is indicative of a dysfunctional manner of viewing reality.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Anonymous1:07 PM

  50. I can't believe no one specifically has asked WHO'S TAKING CARE OF TRIG?

Did Sarah Palin depart for parts unknown without the baby? That's sure mother love for you -- unless you believe like the rest of us that his true mother is taking care of him right now back in Wasilla.

We know Sally Heath doesn't have Trig, because according to Geoffrey Dunn and Chuck Heath, Sally is in the Pribilof Islands (although there's a possibility she's taken Trig with her to put him on an ice floe -- the Palin version of a "death panel" -- so that Sarah Palin can later say he was kidnapped by those White House conspirators and disposed of).

    -----------------

P.S. to Anonymous @ 10:01 AM -- "Already, 16,000 people have weighed in on Facebook to say they liked Palin's position on the matter."

Phooey. 16,000 is nothing, not on Facebook, and not even on HER Facebook page, where 80% of those who are supposedly Palin "friends" are the morbidly curious and the highly entertained progressive/liberals who enjoy seeing how nutty both Palin and the 20% who are "true BFF" can get.

    ------------------

What if Anonymous @ 10:08 is right, and Sarah Palin is "Bernie"?

That would just about guarantee that plastic surgery has been done, but on a clone Sarah Palin, some dotty Palinista with a physical resemblance who's agreed to step in, something like the character in the movie "Dave" (thank God and every other deity that the circumstances for this clone substitution didn't come to pass!!!).

While most of this is very funny the part about the kids is not.

At some time I would think someone would care about them and care about the public that has become interested in a celebrity family. The Sarah Palin devotees might care to know and see that the kids are being schooled and where they can get therapy and medical attention when needed.

  55. But Nixon was probably reasonably intelligent. I agree that a makeover and political rehabilitation of some sort could be in the works, but I really don't think anything can be done with Palin's basic lack of ability. She's out of her league in serious politics. I don't think she'd make it through the primaries. And if she did get into the primaries, I'm pretty sure the kid gloves would come off so far as babygate and the media.

Which doesn't mean she can't be groomed for some other, quite dangerous position. I mean, Beck, Hannity and Limbaugh do a lot of damage.

  56. Before we go down the Richard Nixon path, may I point out that Nixon had a huge amount of foreign policy experience, was a lawyer, had traveled internationally and was not STUPID. He may have been evil, paranoid and twisted, but he was also extraordinarily SMART. And yes I hated him too. But when you are rehabbing someone, it helps if they posess a working brain.

That being said - shall we consider Sarah in the same vein as Richard Nixon??? For heaven's sake people, she is NOT rehabbable (is that a word)? Even by Roger Ailes! You cannot rehab someone that possesses NO cognitive function, is NPD, paranoid, and a raving loon.

Her disease is (as someone said) a very noisy disease. She must always be guarded and cautious. She is always vigilent for surprise attacks.

He can rehab her for years and she'll still be Stupid Sarah, the Cheap Media Whore.

Ailes is like Bill Parcells. He knows the game and how to pick his spots.
Parcell's genius was always taking on the job of coach when a team had
    certain potential.

He took over the Giants job after watching Lawrence Taylor play a few years.

He went to New England knowing he could draft a franchise quarterback in Drew Bledsoe.

The Jets were his next masterpiece. They had been 4-28 before Parcells
became their head coach. In two years they played in the AFC title game.

Then there were the Cowboys--5-11 for three years; in the playoffs with Parcells in his first year.

Now there is Miami: 1-15 before Parcells became their G.M.; 11-5 his first year with as a division title.

Those are the facts and it doesn't matter if I think he is a nasty S.O.B., a bum, or deranged in the way he manipulates players psychologically.

I'm not a big fan of Obama's. I didn't like the fact that his political ascension came largely by playing really dirty politics in chicago to take out his opposition (getting sealed divorce records made public) but I can acknowledge what seem to be the facts although they may be disagreeable to me:

He is a very gifted, brilliant, and charismatic man.

He may have the toughest job an American president has had since FDR.

He is a deserving heavy favorite to be reelected in 2012.

He is almost certainly a much finer human being than I am inclined to think he is.

He quite likely is doing a much better job than I give him credit for.

I admit these things knowing I really cannot speak with any authority on the kind of person he really is because I've never had a personal encounter with him. My opinions have been shaped by what I see in the papers, on the web, and on the tube--and they have been further distorted by my political dispositions.

Someone once said, "We never really KNOW enough about anyone to hate them."

I suppose there are exceptions. But who here can speak with authority
based on PERSONAL experience of having sat down with her for an hour or two, relating as one human being to another, say they have infallible knowledge that Sarah Palin is to be despised.

My problem with the president's road to the White House is my problem, not his. I KNOW I don't have all the facts. If I did maybe I wouldn't have a problem.

    "Weekend at Bernie's"
    Evita Peron or a combination?

As for Betty Ford Rehab, I can't see SP doing that ever. When Limbaugh did "rehab" it was private, alone with a doctor. Rehabilitation is a word for the courtroom. If she was backed into a corner and had to say "rehab" it would be a Jesus camp type. Rehab is not what wing nuts do. They are saved, exorcised, prayed over. The prisons are where others do "rehab." It is also a place where ministries save souls. Her mental illness is the same. It would be a battle with the devil and she would win or martyr. When I think of her in "rehab" or "hospital" I think of her with spa like treatments, not working steps or as much as a 30 day program. A hospital would be more like a Michael Jackson could set up at home. Her handlers may not like the drugs she is on and they could take her some place to get more control. They might want to get her off speed and sedate her.

Whatever diabolical "care" she could be getting from the likes of Ailes, it could include cosmetic surgery. Heck, if they thought it would give them what they want they'd give her a lobotomy.

As for the Roger Ailes scenario, it may not be the exact model. They adapt to stay current.

Can it be just coincidence that she commiserates with the Dick? Cheney is quiet a mastermind in his own mind. Maybe she is in Texas where they say Dick hides while he pretends to be in Wyoming. Texas is full of secret hide aways and vast ranches, they buy their own law enforcement. Remember when Dick shot his friend in the face?

I do find it odd that a master P.R. person would have her just disappear. That appears to be the work of the incompetent Meg. I'd think the professionals would have had a coherent statement about she would be working on her memoirs or some reason not to make it look so much like she is needs to withdraw from drugs or reach critical mass with her mental illness.

Also, there are the theories that she is avoiding the Feds. She could be too paranoid to let Meg know that much about where she is. She could be constantly on the move. It is all highly unusual and we need answers.

    BREAKING!

Sarah Palin has been sighted by an unnamed NASA employee...

No, she is is not found traveling in outer space. She has been seen entering a conference room at the NASA headquarters in Washington D.C.

In a surprising move, she has volunteered to become the first human specimen to be "Frozen in Time"! As part of the NASA's planned 'Manned Mission to Mars and Beyond' program.

As to her motivation, Palin has cited her 'curiosity about the universe', her 'deep respect for science' and her 'patriotism'. She had been heard saying "finally, I will know how it feel to be a Mommy Grizzly, hibernating like the bears I so admire."

Sarah Palin was apparently, very impressed by a power point recruitment presentation that ended quoting the experts "the subject's biological aging will be curtailed by the process and the physical 'beauty' might even be enhanced."

If agreed, Palin will be frozen for about 3 years, just in time to re-emerge for the 2012 GOP primaries.

HONG KONG — Former U.S. vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, once questioned about her lack of foreign policy experience, will make her first trip to Asia in September.

The former Alaska governor will visit Hong Kong to address the CLSA Investors Forum, a well-known annual conference of global investment managers, the host announced Monday.
The Sept. 23 address will mark Palin's first commercial speaking engagement, according to CLSA. Her speaking fees were not disclosed.

It will be closed to the media, and the topic has not yet been confirmed.

Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Alan Greenspan have spoken at the event, hosted by brokerage and investment group CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets.

"Our keynote speakers are notable luminaries who often address topics that go beyond traditional finance such as geopolitics," company spokeswoman Simone Wheeler said in a statement.

"We just felt it would be a fabulous opportunity for CLSA clients to hear from Mrs. Palin," Wheeler said, adding that CLSA approached Palin with the offer.

  85. annonymous 10:01 AM - If you have been reading this "board" you know we think she is linked to Faux News. Was babygate Roger Ailes' idea? Was he behind outing and trying to smear left bloggers who wrote about Palin? He has a history of doing such things? Roger Ailes is one of the Dominionists who manipulates the republican leaders of our country so they appear to be something they are not. He helps them plot the manipulation of the sheeple. As more people are becoming aware of this his power will decrease. In his book,"You are the message", one of the chapters is- qualifications vs qualities. Palin has a charisma which attracts the most backwards people in our country. The problem is she has no qualifications. If he is involved he may be teaching her how to use her quality of charisma to try and overcome her disabilities. Will he advise her to have selective enhancement of her facial features? Research shows when we have a younger appearance people have more of a tendancy to think we have positive personaity traits. We of course assume she is being made over we just do not know the details. You Betcha.

  89. "I suppose there are exceptions. But who here can speak with authority
based on PERSONAL experience of having sat down with her for an hour or two, relating as one human being to another, say they have infallible knowledge that Sarah Palin is to be despised."

It doesn't always take personal experience to judge another person. If you want Biblical authority for this (not my background, but it might be yours) then look at "By their fruits ye shall know them." People have histories, and you don't have to know them personally to have access to their histories.

Sarah has been a disastrous failure and a quitter throughout her career. After a while, you get to realize it's not bad luck: it's her. I felt the same way about George Bush. He was never successful in any career venture he tried- he constantly had to be rescued by his father or his father's rich friends. It didn't take personal acquaintance to know he'd fail as a president.

Knowing the person face-to-face as an individual may explain WHY the person failed. For judgment, though, you look at somebody's history. Have they got a 20 or 30 year trail of failure behind them? Probably not a good idea to vote for them, then.

And talking with Sarah has really no point behind it. One thing we all know about Sarah is that she's a liar. And, my gods, what I'd give for Sarah to sue somebody for calling her a liar. No intelligent lawyer would take her case, though: there's too much evidence, and Sarah herself would never appear in a courtroom under oath. And things like birth certificates could be required as evidence.
