The Alaskans for Parental Rights campaign was developed to return to parents the right to oversee abortion decisions their underage teenage daughters might be unfortunately considering. Because of an out of touch Alaska Supreme Court and a legislature that has been unable to vote on the issue, Alaska is currently one of only 10 states without a parental notification law on the books. In November of 2007, the Alaska Supreme Court ruled that a state law the legislature overwhelmingly passed back in 1997 allowing parents the right to agree or deny abortions their minor teenager daughters might be considering was unconstitutional. Despite parents having to provide consent for ear piercings, tattoos, field trips and even obtaining a simple aspirin in school, children in Alaska can now have abortions without the consent, guidance or even knowledge of their parents.
The goal of the Alaskans for Parental Rights campaign is to obtain at least 32,734 signatures statewide to bring this issue back to the people on the 2010 August Primary Election.

According to the Family Research Council the mythical creature known as Sarah Palin will emerge from her self imposed (we assume) exile to promote a petition to take away a teenage girl's right to control her own body. Yep that sounds like Sarah to me.
And you know I was told this several days ago by a friend who attends Jerry Prevo's church and I totally dismissed it. If Sarah does make an appearance I have some apologizing to do.

An Alaskan friend emailed me about Change Point about a week ago, but I kept it mum. I chose not to post it here in light of C4P's policy not to announce until it's "official," meaning when Meg Stapleton has said it's so. LOL!

Perhaps since most of them are from the campaign she is "moving on" with her image and will begin posting new photos that are recent and more "citizen Sarah."

Hmmm...the one picture they left of her is from the day she was introduced. The only picture that she left under the photo tab is the same shot except it cuts off her neck. So maybe she has been missing due to some work being done IMO. Why would she remove all of pictures??

It strikes me that most of Alaska is run by the Prevo Baptist mega church - an obvious lobby (so WHY do they get tax benefits?). This became evident when Anchorage Mayor Sullivan bowed to Prevo and vetoed the anti-discrimination ordinance, despite the fact that the Assembly voted 7/4 to approve it.

This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama’s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.
According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.
“It was kind of disgusting,” Lucille, who is part Aboriginal, said in a phone interview after admitting that she is frightened of being discovered telling folks in the “lower 48” about life near the North Pole.
Then, almost with a sigh, she added, “But that’s just Alaska.”
Hope some you AK folks get some pictures of Sarah as I am guessing there have been several nips and tucks to Granny.

ReplyDeleteYes, that was what megamouth said when scarah left those Republican women hanging until last minute - like THEY were supposed to know of some "rule" about written confirmation from an attorney. I know some of those women (live nearby) - though our politics are WAY different, they are smart, classy and polite. They, as well as Nancy Reagan, will say nothing about scarah now - it is as if she does not exist.
The big question is, will she bring Willow in some pair of too-tight, unflattering daisy duke shorts? Piper, so no one would dare boo? Or poor Trig facing out toward the bright lights, so everyone remembers what a great special needs (grand)mother she is?

I suspect that if she WAS going, she expected to slip in under the radar, sign the document FIRST - for bragging rights, (like forcing raped minors to have babies is worth bragging about). Now that the word has leaked out (thanks to sea pee'ers), she may have to have her subjects bring it to her house (that Todd built) for signature. I ventured into the sea, and NO ONE is talking about Changepoint "appearance" today - they are all agog, drooling and wetting pants over Glenn Beck, while exclaiming PALIN/BACHMANN 2012! It is a clown show, a laugh a minute over there.
