Levi looks clearly uncomfortable as he answers questions about his love of cougars, if he will run for governor of Alaska, and whether or not he will pose nude.
Now obviously I have a soft spot in my heart for Levi, especially after he came out on Radar and confirmed my Splitsville story, but I am also very concerned that Levi is losing some credibility that he desperately needs to retain in order for his upcoming book to be taken seriously.
Levi KNOWS a lot of information. If he would just get it down on the pages of a good book he could make a fortune. After the dust settles (and believe me there is going to be a buttload of dust!), he can have any damn career he wants.
Just imagine how the doors of Hollywood will open for the man who finally puts and end to Sarah Palin's influence. In liberal Hollywood Levi Johnston would be welcomed as if he were a conquering hero.
Reality shows, acting jobs, appearances on game shows, whatever the young man wants will be handed to him on a silver platter. But first there must be a book. A good book. With everything that I know that Levi also knows, and then some.
Come on Johnston, right now the race is between you and me. Which one of us breaks this story first? You have the inside track, but I am much more aggressive.

And by the way Levi, if Kato Kaelin had written a serious book about the behind the scenes things he really knew, instead of letting one be written about him, he would not have become a laughingstock. And the world is just as fascinated with Sarah Palin right now as they were about O.J. Simpson back in the nineties.

You hit the nail on the head here, Gryphen. Several books are going to come out soon with a Palin theme. Levi should be sitting down with a good editor, but here is your genius idea, if he would work with someone who would get out there and do some solid research and fact-checking and finding additional witnesses his book would be taken a LOT more seriously.

I don't have a problem with this interview, he is loosening up and practicing. I'd like to see Kathy Griffin in Wasilla for her show on Bravo. Hangin' with the Johnstons.
ReplyDeleteYou have an indication of what will happen if he does a book. They will go after his mother and sister as well. He needs to have some friends in media that will back him up. MSM continues the myth about Sarah having a political life. She quit, she is a dimwitted nut case and a coward to hide behind a FaceBook writer. Even her promised Twitter is constipated. None of that stops MSM from maintaining a fantasy. The problem she causes others is that her evildoers go out in force to destroy people with lies and any dishonest means they can think up.
Levi should run for Governor. He could start off with a run for Mayor. I'm all for his significant cougar doing a whole season in Wasilla with the family. I want to see Sadie with her own talk radio program and books.
Yeah I think he has to be quiet until his Mother is okay...it scared me when recently a very elderly gentleman was given the full sentence for selling his prescription drugs; remember that? It was like an omen of things to come.

People said that Ms. Palin should have started off with smaller, local interviews before she tried to face off with Katie Couric; they said by doing so she would have avoided such disastrous, youtube-cult-following results. Much as those of us who despise Sarah Palin would like to believe otherwise, there appears to be no damaging information Levi could provide. As others have said, secrets come out because people love to gossip. If Levi had a secret worthy of more than tabloid news, we'd know it by now because it would make him a millionaire. He's dragging his feet because he may be dumber than Palin on this one. He knows who built the house -- he has eyes. He knows what went on in that house -- not only does he have eyes, but ears as well. He knows of both Sarah's and Bristol's pregnancies or lack thereof. Why no words? There are none. He's a disallusioned young man -- disallusioned that an uneducated guy's fun in the sack with an uneducated governor's daughter became more than either could handle. When the Palin household went back to reality after the election Levi recognized he was nothing more to them than another problem. His teenage pride was hurt, and he handled it like a teenager would. In a tiff he walked away but only has tabloid type information to share. Kathy Griffin? Go ahead Levi, take advantage of the opportunity -- would be fun for both of you.

Mercede can be believed, I would like to see Mr. and Mrs. Palin do eternity together. A divorce would put the kids in more danger. One of these days one of the kids might smart up and call the cops like one of the Gosslin kids were said to do.
All I care to learn about Mrs. Palin is how her botched plastic surgery is getting redone. Did she try to do something with those hands that everyone noticed? Why else will she not twitter?
Levi's brand as a young buck isn't diluted. He doesn't need to be a serious pundit to tell the truth. He doesn't need to do it in a book. He may want to do another book later. He does prefer hunting. I can't see Levi as the one to talk about who dressed Bristol for the RNC. Those 'breasts' have no relation to appearing part of a human. I do think they are the creation of an unknown stylist. If Levi was involved in doing that to Bristol, he does need to confess. He could also be a guy that would not pay that much attention to details. Whoever put that accessory on that girl's chest needs to be outed and to explain what it is all about. If Bristol did that to herself, why? Was she coerced?
No one has to stand by and take that kind of abuse. Call the cops like the Gosslin kids if there is any more trouble.

I've followed this story since last year and listened to Levi when he's been interviewed.
The same people who say they aren't fooled by Palin are falling all over Levi expecting him to pen his authoritative tell all novel over the summer as he ponders and nutures his future career opportunities.

My guess is he can tell you the inner workings of a snow machine carburator quicker than he can tell you who Kato Kaelin is.
Oh, give me a break, folks. As someone with media experience, I'll weigh in and say Levi is doing just fine. He's not going to write a book that wins the Pulitzer. He's a teen oddity pop culture figure!

Kato's "image" is/was sooooo completely different than Levi's. Kato was an aging HW fringe play-a. If I were working with Levi, I'd be trying to showcase that Levi IS uncomfortable in media situations, that he's a backwoods guy without a lot of "worldly" experience. I would encourage him to be who he really is.
Guess what? NO ONE else has Levi's story. You guys are wrong, IMHO, that someone else will steal his thunder. Nope. Only one man is father to a Palin grandchild. Only one? Right? Or if there is more than one (either father or grandchild), it still gives Levi a unique solid media position that cannot be taken away from someone else spilling "the secrets."

In his Unzipped interview he has to keep looking at Rex or Tank before he replies. Levi needs to be more open and natural.
If he keeps withholding information the interviews will stop... he has to keep putting out new tidbits or he will not get any more invites onto shows.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Today's Blog Scold. Levi is doing just fine, I'd say doing better. No celebrity has to please everybody. He is in the school of life. I think he has a new woman in his life and they are having some fun with his lessons.
He is out there while poor Sarah is crippled and can't come out. The same thing happened when McCain picked her, they would not expose her to the media. When they did they had to work overtime to clean up the mess.
I don't see the Kato connection but I don't think Kato has done all that bad with what he was given. I don't follow his career but I think he's been a good father and continues to work and support his child.
Does any one remember Henry Fonda? He was painfully shy and awkward. I don't know how you can always tell how a kid will turn out in the future. Levi's story is unique. Sarah could give it up about what really happened with teen sex in her house and who had what baby. Levi would still have his own thunder.
Why doesn't he have a book deal yet Gryphen? What are your thoughts on that? A few months ago you mentioned that "we would not believe" who the book deal might be with. Actually you also said "we would not believe who Bristol is dating." But then months go by and we have not gotten the scoop!! :) :)

Now I don't care if Levi wins a popularity contest or if all the Palin army eats him alive. I was cool with Levi doing it his way. I understand he is just as capable of lying as the Palins. He writes a book or not, it doesn't matter for me. They all look like a dysfunctional family of crazies and drunks. We've seen so many of the drunk young kids up there that it makes me wonder is anyone sober in the area? Do any parents give a damn about thier kids? No way are any of those people living their lives for any child. They live selfish lives as co-dependents or drunks. They are living to keep on doing what they all do. They don't care about the next generation. Levi got lucky and his drunk face was cleaned off of the internet except for a few. All that is fine if they kept it in their own town. Sarah Palin lied to more then a little town in Alaska. She is protecting coverups that have effected others.
All the creeps that keep her lies and help her cover are just as low life as a Palin.
A boy will become a man when he is ready to love his child. A man would stand on his own and not kiss Palin butt to get along. If he hasn't taken a paternity test and established when he can have his son he is crazy. What he would be doing is to play a dumb game and give the Palin all the power. That will doom his child to misery. Is that why the kids face is usually tense, I feel sorry for him. Levi needs to grow up fast. It can't be easy with his mother's problems. But remember this is a mother that was selling drugs to kids. I know everyone is close up there, but that is going too far. The kids were working for the man and ratting out their friends mother. Not the best of characters.

ReplyDeleteI want you to know that I, for one, have no interest in Levi's personal life. My interest in this story has everything to do with the fact that if Sarah Palin didn't give birth to Trig, then the Republican Party nominated a candidate who perpetuated a massive lie and John McCain probably knew about it. That's the only reason it matters to me, and it should matter to everyone in the United States who was asked to vote for the unqualified candidate who orchestrated this coverup. I want the story of Trig in the spotlight because it shows Sarah Palin for the person she truly is.
Furthermore, Levi Johnston is putting himself in the spotlight without the help of Alaskan bloggers. If he appears on shows like Unzipped and does interviews with Kathy Griffin, he is making himself available for a lot of unpleasant commentary. If he really just wants to raise his kid in privacy and deal with the Palins as best he can, then he should do that, and I agree, everyone should leave him alone.
I think what Gryphen is saying is that Levi is taking a big risk with all this Hollywood stuff. Levi has information that gives him a tremendous amount of power, but he's risking becoming a joke.

Since he said YES, I'll go and get coiffed and made up and play a role for the Palin Family, he's lost his private citizen status. Plus, since then he's gone off on his own and been photographed and interviewed and appeared on red carpets. Hey, Levi is a good egg and is going to do what he's going to do. Maybe he will get spoiled or goof up, maybe he won't. We all know that many are pinning their hopes on him having the scoop on Palin - but you know what? I'd rather see Sarah go down all by her snotty self. It's not Levi's job to do this for the nation - but there certainly are a lot of folks who do see it as his "duty". ReplyDeleteYep, can't stand her, wish she'd disappear into thin air before more damage is done, but the ends do not justify the means in this case. There is a feeling that the higher impact the situation has on a large scale, the easier it is to justify the means to the end. We start out holding onto principles, then want to shrug them off when the road gets tough. It's not easy, but at the end of the day it needs to be our sure, smooth and swift victory over the Gollum Ex Gov and it does not need to be done at the expense of her family. Like it or not, Levi is part of that deranged family.
Levi has a kid, and you can tell he loves that kid. Good on him for loving that kid. I'll just do my hoping that he remains a good guy because he is the parent who has a chance to change the destiny of his son. It certainly isn't going to be Bristol who raises that kid any differently than she was raised, LOL!
And to the poster who went on and on about everybody in Wasilla, or at least the ones they've heard about, being drunk - it's sad, but Wasilla is no different than most rural America small towns. I worked with teens in Seward which is much smaller than Wasilla, and in Juneau which is much larger. Same story here. You do what you can to help these kids look for better lives and find their self esteem. It's not like Wasilla has a patent on teen substance abuse. Nor do they have a patent on bad parenting. They just happen to have one of the most deranged whack jobs in our memories living there.
This kid is getting really problematic representation.

The FIRST witness Bob Shapiro cross examined in O.J.'s preliminary hearings was a guy who claimed he sold Simpson a huge knife. Shapiro
got the guy to admit he had sold the story to the Enquirer and that was that. His motive was considered financial and he was discredited.

I mean no offense at all. But Alaska and every other State needs to have a Governor who has an education, knows how government works, has a decent level of intelligence and has some intellectual curiosity.
While Levi does seem to be a nice kid, he hasn't even finished high school.
I do hope that everything works out great for Levi and his family. They have been traumatized by the Palin's. And there were a couple of people who made the point about Levi's Mom. That IS a good point. They would be smart to keep their mouths closed until her case is settled. Palin probably set her up to begin with. Who knows how much influence she still may have?

I thought I was living in a small town, it isn't small when compared to Wasilla. I have seen our teens on the internet. There are similarities, they post some weird pictures and they do drink and take drugs, not for the internet. An occasional pictures slips into a post. The difference to me was what is acceptable in Wasilla to display and the attitude, I've seen posts since about 2006. Most are high school and younger. The 13 to 16 age group is most disheartening. I don't know about Seward. There are good parents in Wasilla that do all they know. We hear the churches are a big influence in the area. The problem is with the adults and parents that contribute to the generations of indulgence.
Our teens don't make a habit of posting smoking marijuana because they know the attention it would bring. They don't post the alcohol depravity as they do in Wasilla and the comments don't show the same permissiveness and attitude. They don't go on about beer bongs and things in their parents houses, garages or summer houses because the authorities would be on the parents. No matter how wealthy, parents would be told to supervise. We do have parents that monitor the internet and what kids are doing. Wasilla is the wild west for drunks. Wasilla teens don't post hard drug use or shooting up, they are capable of internet boundaries.
If the teens where I am could, they would post pathetic alcohol pictures as if it was a cute pup and write as they do in Wasilla about the love they feel for alcohol. The Wasilla teens are close knit and love the way it is. There are those that write in a romantic way about the love of alcohol and the friendships it forms. It is sociology and it would make an interesting study. While other teens write their romantic musings around sex, the freedom in Wasilla allows them to express thier true love.
Wasilla has been singled out because of the corruption the Palin administration has flagged. There is something going on in that family also. It is not only the young Palin teens, also the adults are addicts or co-dependents. Piper, Trigg and Tripp are too young to know how it effects them. Famous families like the Kennedy's have had to confront their problems in public. The Palin family brought a spotlight on Wasilla and Alaska and they are able to defy healing and stay in hiding. Why are they special? Is it something in the water?
Alcoholics and drug addicts are a huge cost for the health care system. Wasilla is a little Lord of Flies when it comes to drunk kids. Since so many have posted about it this is a unique situation and could be used for a study. We notice teens do have babies in Wasilla, there are those that go on with a positive life. There are babies that die at a young age. We have not been able to find records on some deaths. These are very young people making these posts, with in a week or two they are back to the same postings of drunk parties and fun. Is that normal for Wasilla? Your best friend is killed while drunk by a drunk driver so you get back to drinking and driving as soon as you can? That is the lifestyle that is Wasilla? If Wasilla wants to take no responsibility for what goes on and what they produce, it will be up to others.
I've heard Levi say he won't leave Wasilla. Is it the natural beauty of the surrounding area? Is it the closeness to his contemporaries? His family ties? He is stuck with the Palin family. His greatest strength will be his independence and honestly confronting the life he is facing.
If Levi does a nude layout, you can bet the Quitter Governor will try to out do him and pose nude for Playboy. She always wants to have the last word.
ReplyDeleteI don't see any similarity to the court system in Alaska and the one in California. Levi may want to be done as a witness. Where are the OJ, Kato comparisons coming from? Levi probably knows he has a few minutes left to make some deals and he hopes to get set up in a small business or work with his father. He is a homeboy. That is common in Alaska. Levi does like his roots. Everything he does is for the homeys, that is what he wants for his kids. If he wants to work the child support and visitation in private he can do that. He believes that is the best way to raise his children. He shows no interest in the rest of the country. Levi is a good egg and a homeboy.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know more about Sherry Johnston's arrest and court case. What are the facts? Let us see how Levi will stand up for his parent. He knows what friends were working for the cops to take out his momma bear. He may want to handle that in private. He can take those friends out to the wood shed and take care of business. They all need to live in a tight situation together after it is all said and done. He has to be around the Palins and the friends that did that to Sherry. It works for him is to keep it all private and live the good old Wasilla boy way.

ReplyDeleteWith all respect, I think you missed the point. Some jurisdictions may have more liberal courts than others, some more conservative, but they share at least one thing in common--suspicion of testimony that can be suggestive of financial gain . ( Let me clarify something: I wasn't referring to Levi's credibility as a "witness" in any litigious sense. I was referring to his credibility as an "authority" or "reliable source" on private issues concerning the Palin family.)
Levi's attorney, in my opinion, is giving the kid too much rope. If he isn't but the kid is simply getting drunk on the publicity and money and
is not taking the advice of counsel, the end result will be the same: he will eventually be discredited which will be yet another notch on Palin's belt.
The analogy to Kato Kalin is not frivolous: Marsha Clark thought he would be a powerful witness for the prosecution but under the white-hot light of the public spotlight he seemed "flakey' and just some kid who wanted to cash in on his relationship to O.J.
Just think about how many books were written about Simpson by authors who claimed to know something that nobody else did. Without

Levi may be a great kid but he's gotta come back down to earth or he'll be like one of those people who win $25,000,000 in a lottery but who eventually wind up broke and living in a van down by the river.
There are plenty of places that have gangs and mobsters running neighborhoods. Like every other place they are going to do it their way in Alaska. Sarah Palin is popular because she is like all of us. If you don't know how the gangs run your neighborhood, you need to learn. We have murders and no one talks. No one gives up another or they or that family will be taken out. If someone rats on your brother, you don't go to the law, you take care of it yourself or have one of the boys do it.
ReplyDeleteIt will come out about lifestyle what ever Levi does, Sarah Palin will see to that. They plan on making sure no one would beleeve a word he says. Sarah Palin has the intact family life and people are jealous and make stuff up about them. She has pictures of him being in a bad way with the wrong people. Levi can make stuff up about living at her house. Who will believe him after she releases what her Sherlock uncovers?
In the south we all knew that breeding and affairs produced children in or out of a wedding certificate. The birth parents are not always certified. That is more common from what anyone admits. I have a cousin, her son was fathered by a family friend but the husband is on the birth certificate. Sarah Palin or her family should not be singled out over that practice, it happens every place and no one yaps. Let them have privacy. Too much govnment is trouble. Levi be the good boy. He could know he is not the father and he wants to help a friend by taking responsibility. I know that happens. Leave these people alone. Forgive Sarah and Levi. Get over the past.
